Today was a very bad experience with these guys .As you can see in my previous review with old account (I can't access that account anymore for password issues).I called 2 days ago and didn't make it because of one urgent issue and went today afternoon to explain and get it done or get new appointment.But regular friendly guys at this location ,this guy was so rude and told me that you can't just walked in like this, we are very busy with very unwelcoming and unprofessional attitude.I was quite surprised because this young Vietnamese guys are always friendly,polite and honest in nature.Long story short, we had argument and I left because of very rude behavior.He even told me Get the f... Out of here.I was very upset and angry about today's experience and decided not to return to them until they have trained the staffs with better customer service and behavior modification training. I had known about the shop from my friend who had given me her car, from last week I was hearing a metallic squeaking noise when I would press on the brakes. So I called the shop today in the morning about my concerns for the rear brakes in my VW Jetta. Hao was very clear and friendly on the phone, and he accommodated me right away to come in for the service. They gave me quite reasonable price to replace the pads and rotors, John did a great job and made sure I don't have to get new calipers as well. This was my first experience with MR AUTO SD My wife's 2014 Hyundai Sonata needed the 105k mile service. We also recently had a Fuel Pump replaced at a local shop and now the fuel Gauge didn't work. I Ask Hao if he could also trouble shoot the Fuel Pump / gauge issue. He assured me that he would remove the fuel pump, troubleshoot and note what was found so I could go back to the shop that did the original Fuel pump replacement. Hao seemed very knowledgeable and explained what the 105K service would involve and gave me a detailed written estimate. When I went to pick up the car the next day Hao explained that the 105K service all went well. He also mentioned that when removing the Fuel Pump that a plug had not been attached as it should and simply attached it and the gauge and pump worked fine. MRAUTO diagnosed and fixed the fuel pump issue for less than half what the original shop suggested. I was very pleased with the overall experience and reasonable rates. What a hidden gem. Ran through a deep puddle and my car was making all sorts of grinding/clucking noises while driving. Needed this fixed asap. I took my 2015 Camaro in for a routine oil change. I selected MR Auto SD based on the location to my job and stellar reviews. My communication was strictly through Yelp. They were quick to accommodate my availability. I settled on a 1pm appointment. I rolled up exactly on time. Within minutes, i was greeted at the front desk by Phil. He asked if i was dropping off or waiting. I said, waiting (was told it would be 30min) He asked me to sign their book with my contact information. With that, he entered it into their computer system. At about 1:09pm, my Camaro was pulled into the garage floor. At 1:28pm it was down from the lift and back on the floor. Unfortunately, there was a part that was missing..a ring...or something to that nature. I think the guy was Hao, who ran out to get the missing part. Before he left he asked what time i had to be on the road, I said 1:55pm at the latest. He jammied on his way and came back as quickly as he left. Although I was not out within 30 min as originally told, i was however back in my car by 1:54pm! I'm still giving MR Auto SD 5 stars. Came in for a conventional oil change when they first opened in the morning (good idea if you don't want to wait). Don't remember my mechanic's name, but he was kind and knowledgeable. Also went in to ask about the battery of my car and he took the time to check it even though he wasn't being paid for it. Didn't push me to buy anything or replace anything. Oil change took around 45min and costed a total of 23.45. (I believe it's normally advertised as $25, but I had a coupon for $20 on their website). Of course, I'm writing this review the same day as my visit, so I have yet to see how well they did changing my oil, but as of now I am quite happy with the price and service. I needed an oil change and thanks to yelp I was able to find an adorable, yet reliable auto shop! Vu was very honest and didn't try to up sell. The whole process was quick and easy. I called prior to coming in because my main concern was that I had a toyota and it appeared as if they serviced to VW; however, when I called, Vu indicated that they service to all cars. I came here around 8:15 am, Monday morning. Vu took my car in right away. They changed my oil and changed one headlight bulb. Total was around $40. Thanks to yelp, I was able to get an oil change for $21.99. On top of those two repairs, he fixed the rattle in my car that has been bugging me for over 2 years!!! Honestly, I was so impressed that he was able to diagnosis the problem because for 2 years I've been taking my car into different repair shops and all of them had indicated that either my car is getting old (i have a 2006 toyota) or that they don't hear it. So , Vu indicated that the rattle in my car was just a lose latch in my hood. He even fixed it for free!!! All repairs took about 50 minutes. Thank you so much Vu and his team! I recently went to Mr. Auto SD because the Toyota dealership told me I needed to replace a water pump, and a transmission gasket which would have ended up being around $1,000. So, I thought I'd get a second opinion. After looking my car over, I got a call and they told me that all that needed to be done was to replace my cabin filter and air filter--they told me the other stuff wasn't an issue. When I came and drove away in my car, it drove better and the AC even worked better as a bonus--wasn't expecting that. These guys could have easily gone with what the Toyota dealership said and charged me unnecessarily, but they didn't. I highly recommend MR Master Mechanics. First Impression: The owner was really nice on the phone and was patient as I was discussing my car problems. I did my research: I had previously called Adventec, Bruce Auto and some Toyota dealerships to get a feel of what I was in for: a) the Toyota dealerships were way too pricey for my college budget b) Advantec was too busy to get me in (makes sense, they have like 200 reviews on Yelp) also the guy on the phone was kind of rude about scheduling an appointment c)Bruce Auto's diagnosis guy was out for the day d) the dealership I bought my car into on Saturday called Steve's Auto in PB rushed the inspection because he didn't see an engine light on that would easily tell him what was wrong with my car. Conclusion of research: The owner at MR Master Mechanics can take a look at your car the same way they would diagnose cars at dealerships since he used to work at one (knows the procedure) .They will give you a good estimate over the phone. Also, this dealership specializes in VW, but it wasn't a big deal that my car was Toyota. Experience : The place seemed to be run by a group of friends in their 20s so I felt uneasy since I wanted the utmost precise inspection of my car.. they could have been assistants /learning so I didn't weigh too heavily on that discomfort. However, once I talked to the owner (Vu), I felt very confidant that he was going to do his best to help me find what was wrong with my car. I embarrassingly teared out of frustration at one point when we were discussing the issues --since I get very sentimental about any technicalities my car has and Vu very kindly walked to find tissue for me! =x Mechanic's lovely wife came by to visit him and we all had a random discussion about life, education, and goals. They just seem extremely honest and great people to talk to ! I would come back here with any other issues my car has.
