First visit to Mr. Bagels. Got a baker's dozen from TGTG. Bagels varied tremendously in shape and size! Wound up with 4 pumpernickel bagels (fortunately I like pumpernickel), 2 blueberry bagels, 2 rainbow bagels, and a couple I've not been able to identify yet! This is absolutely ridiculous i ordered an everything bagel toasted with olive cream cheese and got a burnt plain bagel with the saddest olive cream cheese ive ever seen. I truly tried giving this place a chance since the previous owners but the mew ones arent any better. I will never come here again. First off gotten olive cream cheese before and never had black olives but regardless where the hell are the olives. Do better palisade bagels. read more

I'm afraid that Fort Lee has lost its only worthy bagel spot when it used to be Palisades Bagel but now, with this new name and management, the quality, taste, and amounts of spread have seriously and sadly declined. My son's bagel barely had any spread on it and the taste of the actual bagel was nothing like how it used to be - smaller, flatter, and tasteless. Unfortunately, we'll be looking for a new place to get our bagel fix going forward. read more

They are now know as Mr. Bagel Been here a couple times in the last few months. They are sometimes busy in the morning with a line. The store is small, so it does have a small area to sit in to eat. The staff seem friendly and very nice. They have a deli counter. Plenty of drinks and coffee to choose from. Prices seem reasonable. Plenty of choices on the menu. They have some good choices for bagels. (Although signs indicating which is what would be helpful). Best to order is a Bagel with Cream Cheese as they give you plenty. I ordered the Egg Bacon and Cheese on a Bagel 3 times now.... Each time a disappointing amount of Egg, Bacon and sometimes 1/4 of a slice of cheese. 1 egg and 1 piece of bacon ... nonsense. So it's just what you order from here I guess. Or it's the cook that's on the line that morning. read more

Looks like the owners changed again and they did some renovations. Bagels need a bit work on presentation since they're a bit lopsided and oddly shaped but they're good! I love me a soft chewy bagel/flagel But their Buffalo chicken wrap was underwhelming. There was barely any chicken, I felt like I was eating just the wrap with soggy vegetables. Arrived at noon on Labor Day. Greeted by young lady with a smile. Ordered an everything with a schmear as this is becoming my new standard to measure all bagels. They have new owners. Charged me $30 for two Taylor ham egg and cheese. There's no Taylor ham. This is not against the former Palisades's bagels that was reliable. The new owners do not care about quality. The bagel was just as horrible as the single slice of Taylor ham on each sandwich. This is an embarrassment. I go to this place every day for a reason. Since the new ownership, they've made so many improvements and it shows. The crew was always polite and quick to attend to customers. The new owner is such a friendly guy and always wants to make sure that he and his crew take care of us. It's all in the details and it shows. I came this last time and the cream cheese was so cold on a toasted bagel, and the bacon was rock hard. Careful when ordering here. Not only was my meal disgusting (lack of following instructions) they missed half my order. When I called to ask what happened and if they can send me the rest of my order their exact excuse by the woman who answered the phone: "we didn't have your phone number but we refunded it" My exact reply was, you have my phone number because I ordered online. It provides you my name, address and phone number. I get the same email you get. She couldn't answer or simply admit she messed up. I would've at least respected the honesty of "I'm so sorry I forgot" and "I'll send that to you right away" or "let me go ahead and refund you". She mentioned she "already" refunded but the lie detector test said that was a lie and untrue. I called grubhub to inform them their reply to me and confirm if anything was refunded. Told me nobody contacted them for a refund. When I went to throw out my meal that's when I saw my printed receipt attached to the bag with my phone number clearly indicated. Called back to let them know your tickets print phone numbers. Some guy answered and acted like he didn't know before hanging up on me. This review is based only on their plain bagel; with that being said if your plain bagel has zero taste what else can you expect from their other varieties..? Stoped in today 4/27/30, around 8:30 am, had to run my wife to her dentist.... yes all the way from Brooklyn out here to Fort Lee NJ.... long story but to keep it short they relocated .... Back to the bagel, the wife ran in to get us two plain bagels with butter and two small coffees..... The bagel was fresh had the chew of a real kettled Brooklyn bagel however NO Taste !!! Served with plenty of real butter on both but again no taste kind of like butter on cardboard.... To me this bagel seemed like a wholesale bagel that the deli's & bodega's get brought in..... The wife said the place was very clean & the service was fine .... I was quite surprised when I walked in here. I was not expecting a good selection of food. The bagels looked good. The cold case was full of salads that looked fresh, and deli meats that would have made a nice sandwich. They have a grill to whip up some hot stuff, and one item that caught my eye was their signature burger. I will have to try next time around. They also have a nice self serve coffee station. They are equipped with indoor and outdoor seating. In the winter time they remove the outdoor tables and seats. I noticed they have an open concept fridge for drinks. I like when it is enclosed this ensures a colder drink. TIP: There is a parking lot on the side of the building where the It's Greek to Me is. You can park here for free instead of finding metered street parking. read more

Nice bagel shop in fort lee! I had a toasted everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese and coffee on a Sunday morning. Bagel was chewy, didn't take my teeth out(lol), and had good crunchy texture outside. Veggie cream cheese tasted fresh with nice bits of carrots and stuff. Coffee was like water though - should've ordered fresh squeezed OJ instead. Host lady at the counter was straight forward and place had that warm neighborhood vibe. Well kept deli in a very convenient location close to downtown Fort Lee. They have a variety of deli staples; bagel sandwiches are solid, albeit a bit pricey. Staff was friendly and helpful enough. Checks all the boxes of an NJ bagel shop, and is arguable the best one in Fort Lee. read more

Lots of options, but left with an upset stomach. Came here for breakfast around 10AM. The place was surprisingly packed, with a couple of people in queue and a few people sitting down. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll. I tried to pay with my visa, but the cashier said something that I didn't quite catch (so I assume they either have a card minimum or don't take card). Instead, I gave him cash and he was very happy! I waited a very short time before getting my order to-go. Honestly, my SEC on a roll tasted really good. I was pretty hungry, and I remember thinking something tasted a LITTLE BIT off about it, but I still really enjoyed it!! 2 hours later, my stomach ended up feeling really bad and I was unable to eat for the rest of the day. I'm unsure if my stomach was just extremely sensitive or if I just got unlucky with my order. Overall the people here seemed really nice and there were many breakfast options. It seems like a lot of people enjoy this place by how packed it was for a weekday morning. It is unfortunate that the food didn't sit well with my stomach, but I'd definitely give it another chance since it could have just been a one time issue. read more

This place is decent for a bagel spot in the tri-state area. I think my overall standards for bagel stores are high living within the New York/New Jersey area for so long. The bagels are pretty good overall although I don't love the cinnamon raisin as it doesn't have many raisins in it and lacks a strong cinnamon raisin taste. The wait can be long especially on a weekend morning and they always appear to be short staffed. I've even called ahead of time to order and they said it was a 60 minute wait and then someone called me back again to tell me it would be shorter. read more

I came here for the first time two days ago. I got a Fagel, regular toasted bagel, Toasted roll with butter and a croissant with Taylor ham, egg and cheese, it all came out to $15. I like the efficiency of the place however I do think it's a bit pricey especially for breakfast. Everything was good and I heard no complaints from my counterparts who ate the rest of the food. Fantastic bagels! I love the lox cream cheese spread. Again, no rainbow bagels, but not that many places serve them nowadays. The bagels are fresh and fluffy, but the lox cream cheese can use a bit more lox. I love the location. It's beside a park where you can enjoy the bagel during these COVID times. For a long time this was my favorite bagel spot around. The manager, Ray is a great guy who I enjoy chatting with when I stop in. I also enjoyed ordering the healthy chicken salad which is made by the owner, his aunt. Im posting this message regretfully because it will likely bring negative attention. However, my hope is to improve a critical component of this business and to help Ray avoid a poor inspection review (in case he's unaware of this problem). About a month ago I stopped in to order a bagel and observed three employees chatting it up near the register. Two out of the three had gloves on but were touching EVERYTHING, including: the food case, the counter, a broomstick, a dirty cleaning rag , their clothing, one guy actually came around to the customer side of the counter and rested both gloved hands on the counter for a while and then went back to the employee side. After all this the one guy went back and reached for more bagels etc to prepare orders. I stopped him and asked him to come speak with me, I asked all of them. I told them what I observed and told them the importance of hand hygiene especially in the food industry. I told them the gloves are not only intended for their protection BUT ALSO TO PREVENT THE TRANSMISSION OF BACTERIA FROM THE SOURCE AND TO THEIR PATRONS. I work in hospitals I told them. I spend a lot of time in the operating room and in patient care areas etc. hand hygiene is serious. If this happened a month ago, why am I just writing it now. Well, I stopped in to get a bagel and of course, the same main culprit is working and still touching EVERYTHING with his gloved hands, then touching food without changing gloves. I've been going to this bagel shop for about 2 yrs and I just came across the most DISHONEST situation ever. I placed an order for pickup to avoid the long wait. I went in and my order was ready, so I poured my coffee and went to the register to pay. The total cost of my order was $9 and change. I handed the cashier a $50 bill, and was given coins back. I looked up at the cashier and asked her how much my order was. She advised $9 and change. I said I handed her a $50 bill and she denied it. She was adamant that I handed her $10. We went bk and forth a few times and she never opened the register to confirm. In this day in age, I didn't want to be "the karen" and make a scene. So I went home and called the place asking for a manager. I explained the situation to them and he said he would investigate and call me bk. He called bk, telling me that she claimed to have shown me the $10 bill and I told him she never even opened the register to chk. (its interesting that she remembered the situation when they were so busy tho). In the end, I'm down $40. REMINDER: DOUBLE CHK HOW MUCH MONEY IS GIVEN AND RECEIVED!! read more
