I finally tried BAGEL BOX, and I have to say--this place is a hidden gem. I ordered their salmon sandwich, and it was hands down the most delicious one I've had in the area. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the bagel itself was just right--crispy on the outside and soft inside. If you're a fan of a good salmon sandwich, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

If you like good food with a side of rudeness, this is your place. Maybe my Brooklyn is too fast for her but she seemed to not understand me when I said no half and half in my coffee. Forbid if she would dare give me( the customer) other options when they were there. Then when I asked her to confirm that my coffee didn't have half and half in it, she seemed offended and avoided answering my question until I asked for the 6/7th time. Unbelievable. Yet, the food and the coffee was good but is it worth the hassle?

This is by far the best bagel place in the area! They have so many healthy options to choose from and even a juice bar! It was so good I went in there two mornings in a row when in the area for a work trip. The first day I got a juice that was so fresh and watched them juice the veggies for my drink and a special bagel sandwich that was egg, spinach, avocado and hot sauce on an everything whole wheat bagel and it was so light and nutritious. The second day I got the same juice as the first day and then a simple egg bagel with cream cheese. Quality, consistent sandwiches that are so good and as advertised. The place is incredibly clean and the staff are super nice, not to mention both gentlemen working up front were very in shape so you can see why the healthy menu items really resonate. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area and looking for a healthy, wholesome breakfast and not just some greasy, fatty food!

This used to be my go to bagel spots but my last two visits have been quite disappointing! The staff here are so kind, and the location is convenient and meticulous. But my last visit the cheesecake was moldy, the deviled eggs were rotten and I ordered their special poached egg on toast which was a disaster. They are good for bagels but I am not sure I would recommend other items.

Oh how I've missed Jersey bagels! I moved to California seven years ago and the bagels are NOT the same. I've always loved Jersey/NY bagels and The Bagel Box does not disappoint. Light, crispy, and chewy bagel is what you'll get every bite. Not to mention, they are very mindful with their iced coffee where they'll put coffee ice cubes in their iced coffee so when it melts, it won't dilute the coffee. I LOVE the attention to detail. Thank goodness to my dear friend for taking me to The Bagel Box!

I've been coming here for the past two years and I must say the staff is amazing. Very friendly and courteous.

i've been coming here for the past two years and I must say this is one of the best place to have breakfast and lunch. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Thank you for everything.

A nice place! They have many flavors of bagels and spreads. An added treat is that they can put multiple cream cheeses on for you! It's in a convenient location as well. However, it's pricy. I ordered a bagel with 2 cream cheeses and he charged me for 2 bagels! I tried correcting him but he said adding an extra cream cheese IS THE SAME PRICE as ordering another bagel! The menu doesn't say anything about that price increase which I didn't like (I would have been fine with a slight increase in price, but doubling it seemed way overboard). Overall the bagels taste good but wow that's an expensive upgrade that they should make customers aware of before they order.

Kaiser roll was easier to bite into and delicious, but I ended up preferring it on everything bagel that gave the added salty bites from the everything part lol. First time tourist and wasn't sure on condiments they put on, ketchup & mayo? I went mayo only since ketchup sounded a bit weird. But at checkout, the sweet ladies verified and I asked if good with ketchup and seems like thats what most folks get so got the bagel one with ketchup and mayo. Definitely tasted better with both ketchup and mayo:) Also got a bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was fine but the cream cheese had some vanilla taste to it which I didnt like vs the typical plain cc. Not sure if there was a miss or that's what the plain cc tastes like here. Either way I would stick with the freshly prepared breakfast sandwich. Maybe bacon egg cheese sounds better, but wanted to try Taylor ham that many reviews mentioned lol. Maybe even just egg and cheese would be great? since the main goodness came from the fresh hot egg and melting cheese I believe.

We ordered a classic sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll and this time, I also wanted to investigate their bagel game. I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and it took just a few bites to remind this newly transplanted Southerner that bagels in the Northeast are in a league of their own. Food comes out fast. We both watched admiringly from our tables as the short order cooks moved like tornados at the grill, furiously beating bowl after bowl of eggs to fulfill the counter endless string of orders. That's another thing. During the whole half hour we dined at a table, things never quieted. As soon as a table cleared, someone else would grab it right away. Over the years, I've found that when in doubt, it's best to follow the crowds. On most Saturday mornings, it seems this is the place where all the crowds in Ridgefield Park are congregating. This breakfast spot is as local as it gets. As a lover of small business, I can't tell you secretly happy I get to see lines at the door here while the Dunkin Donuts across the street languishes.

Java Day Cafe came up and it was really close to both of us so we decided to come here. The place is nestled in a small strip mall with other stablishments so luckily that means there's ample parking. There's also a fair amount of seating. You order at the counter and let them know if you want to take your food to go or if you'd like to dine-in. I was pretty hungry coming off a 12-hour shift so I got the Hungryman sandwich with a hash brown on the side. They have a few options as far as French toast goes and my girlfriend decided on Nutella stuffed. Our food came out rather quickly considering how busy they seemed to be. A few other parties were dining in and a good amount of people picked up takeout. My sandwich was much bigger than I anticipated but it was delicious. The various meats brought the saltiness and savory flavor I was looking for and it all paired well with the eggs and cheese. The bread it was served in had a nice crunch to it which is always appreciated. The sandwich was great but the next time I get it I have to add the SPK (salt, pepper, ketchup for you non-Jerseyans). I also tried some of my girlfriends French toast. It looked really good and I think I saw them take a picture before bringing it to our table. I'm not mad at that, as a Yelper I'm a firm follower of phone-eats-first! The French toast was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and the bread had the all-important crunch. Walnuts also added good texture to everything. I think the only thing stopping me from rating this place 5-stars is the price. It's definitely on the pricier side. My girlfriend and I got coffees with our food and everything came out to a few bucks short of $50. Nevertheless, a very solid breakfast spot. I could see myself coming back. I found it weird that they have such nice plates but they only have plastic utensils. Not a knock on them, just a quirky thing I noticed.

I've had bagels all over Jersey and New York -- and let's be honest, you practically have to try to make a bad bagel around here. Somehow, these geniuses pulled it off. Tasteless, overdone, and about as fresh as water from the Passaic River. The guy behind the counter looked irritated that I even existed. When I asked (politely) to bag my plain and everything bagels separately, he acted like I'd requested a Michelin-star tasting menu. Then -- and I'm not kidding -- he dumped the everything bagels in a tiny bag, reused that same greasy bag for the plain ones, and still managed to miscount the dozen. Hey man, if you hate your job, sit down and shut up -- don't take it out on the customers, you moron. Around here, most places toss in an extra bagel out of basic Jersey decency. Not this clown show. Cleanliness? Picture a gas-station bathroom with cream cheese. Counters sticky with who-knows-what, floor grimy, and an overall vibe of "we gave up a long time ago." Other customers looked trapped in their own bad decisions. Health inspector, if you're reading this, bring a hazmat suit. Between the surly staff, the filthy setup, and bagels that could double as hockey pucks, this dump gives Jersey bagel shops a bad name. Do yourself a favor -- keep driving. There are at least a dozen better spots within sniffing distance.
