    An excellent casual spot for some skewers and rice/noodle dishes. Came here for the first time after a friend recommended it, as they have some great BOGO promotions. I came early evening, just in time for the $1 lamb skewer promotion, and I got some lamb skewers along with the curry chicken on rice. The curry was solid, a good thick sauce with a lot of flavor, and just the right amount of spice. Not so much that it's overwhelming on the first bite, but the heat builds up throughout the meal, and keeps it interesting. The chicken was bone in and tender, and overall portion size is excellent. I was super hungry as I had other errands to run in the morning, but I couldn't manage to finish my bowl. There is a lot of rice, good balance of meat and rice, and ample curry to cover it all. I ended up having to take my leftovers home. As for the lamb skewers, they are well seasoned, a mix of somewhat fatty and somewhat lean pieces, and grilled to perfection. The promo is limited to 4 skewers per person Service was very fast and very friendly, we came when the restaurant was still pretty quiet, and by the time we left it was starting to get busy. Ordering is done through QR code and we got our order in less than 10 minutes. I would definitely see myself coming back, this restaurant is in a great location in Markham, there is a lot of parking in the plaza it is in, and they seem to change up the BOGO promotion dishes so you can try other items on their menu. I was eating while staring at a poster of their beef noodle and will be sure to come back soon to try that next

This is what we had: Fish on rice stone pot buy one get one free $13.99 Curry chicken on rice stone pot buy one get one free $13.99 Deep fried tofu 8 lamb skewers - $1each after 5 pm Grilled Oysters $2 each after 10 pm I fell in love with the skewers and the oysters, and will definitely do a late night chow down again there.

    I had an amazing dining experience at Mr. Bao 煲大人yesterday night. The atmosphere is warm, perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a casual meal. We tried a few of their signature dishes, such as the beef rice noodles, spicy skewers, and oyster. Every dish was seasonings balanced perfectly, and the portions were big too. BUT: There are a few areas that Mr. Bao 煲大人 REALLY needs to IMPROVE: 1. Service: The staff did not provide proper service. They didn't come over to help with ordering, ask about our preferences, introduce the menu, or recommend dishes. NOT AT ALL. You have to order through the tablet. After we ordered, they didn't check on us at all. 2. Cleanliness during dining: I saw a staff mopping the floor while customers were eating. The strong disinfectant smell was unpleasant and made me want to throw up. 3. Restroom hygiene: The bathroom was EXTREMELY DIRTY. I personally feel the staff should prioritize cleaning the restroom over mopping the dining area while people are eating. The only reason I didn't give a lower rating is that the food was actually very tasty!!

    The dishes here are authentic and delicious!!!!! They serve them in clay/stone pots which keep the foods sizzling hot and flavourful. And I gotta mention their $1 lamb skewers were amazing!!! Tender and juicy meats that were marinated and charred. There's also the buy one get one promo on the carb roe fried rice and rice noodles, highly recommend the crab roe coated rice!!! Great customer service, and the restaurant was quite clean and newish.

Food came out quite fast. Flavour wise, everything was okay. Not like WOW, but not like disgusting. I just personally didn't like it. I think they were aiming for a more hong kong guang dong style flavor, but it tasted like something else Also, TMI, but i did have a tummy ach afterwards so personally its a pass for me... Sorry!

We peeked at what others ordered and the family-style dishes looked pretty good as well, so we'll try those next time.

Rather than taking responsibility or working professionally toward a solution, his attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely inappropriate. Fortunately, the lady working with him was kind, professional, and genuinely tried to explain the situation and find a way to accommodate us. She deserves recognition for her efforts. Our group was in town for an eight-day conference with more than 3,000 attendees. Because of this experience, this restaurant has unfortunately been added to the "not recommended" list for this annual event. When restaurants host business travelers, the way guests are treated matters just as much as the quality of the food. Unprofessional treatment of customers and business partners can damage relationships and cost businesses significant opportunities. To anyone considering this restaurant: the food is excellent, but if you're planning an important business dinner or any special occasion, be aware that the wrong interaction at the front desk could ruin your evening. Great food alone cannot make up for poor management and unprofessional customer service.

The remains of the duck were used for make a duck fried rice and duck soup, again both were amazing. It takes a certain skill to make fried rice cleanly without an excessive oily coating on each grain of rice. This was one of the best fried rices I've ever had! No gratuitous mushy frozen peas needlessly added either. Well seasoned fried pork ribs and veggies completed the courses I had, everything was truly wonderful and I hope to revisit again.

I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.

In the winter, there's a silkiness to the piping hot consommé that sooths a dry throat and has an umami essence infused with abalone, ginseng, and pork. There's plenty to choose from in the house signature combo platter including roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, pork slices, and seaweed salad. Saving my stomach for the later dishes, I had a taste of the duck (a good start with crispy skin) and BBQ pork (satisfactory and well flavoured). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Still, it was moist with a delicate, crispy skin. Instead of the usual deep-fried crab claw, Queen's serves a scallop with shrimp paste. It's easier to eat with a knife and fork, and while the sauce softens the crisp exterior, it adds a savoury depth without overwhelming the seafood. The crispy salted egg yolk prawns were impressively large and well cooked. I don't usually gravitate towards salted egg yolk, finding it heavy, but here it added a pleasant richness.
