I was visiting from out of town, and originally stopped by for their Tuesday night jam. Unfortunately, not enough people showed up so the jam was cancelled. But I was given a free ticket to their Saturday show. I brought my mom to see it, and we both had a blast. The team members are super energetic and creative! It was non-stop laughs. The referee kept the audience involved and there was never a boring moment. One nice thing was that I saw audience members of all ages, from children up to seniors (my mom is 72). I definitely recommend checking out the jams and shows at this theater, especially if you want a break from all the chaos on the Strip!

One day a pick up an teenage boy came and told us another kid had pushed my kid into the water fountain and was bleeding. We went to the dentist and the teeth were dead and they had to pull them. We are going on 4 years with no front teeth because of this place! The instructors weren't going to tell us or say anything. I wasn't going to sue them because I figured accidents happen. They were definitely irresponsible in how they handled it. I didn't realize how long the front teeth were going to take to grow in though. I'm regretting not getting a lawyer at the time.

Upon arrival we showed up at approximately 6:45 PM. We were instructed to go into what she called "the holding area" we're told to have a seat and that a waitress would come by and take our order if we wanted something to eat and or drink. There were a lot of people already inside eating and drinking so I was thinking that maybe we should've gotten there even earlier. We had not eaten or had anything to drink before the show because we were saving it for Showtime. Well........ no one came out to take our order. We even thought that seeing our table number would signal someone to make sure that these "VIP" attendees were taken care of. No one ever came over to us and before we know it, it was time to go into the show venue itself. I was sure that that area would be well stocked with someone to take our order as we were greeted at the door and personally escorted to our seats. (and I'm thinking that all of these people really look alike....... This must be a family run establishment with very strong genes) A comedian came out to do a short set and also said that someone would be around to take our orders for something to eat and drink and again, no one showed up. I'm thinking to myself that they want all of this energy from the audience and no one is coming around to make sure we are fed and hydrated, especially the so-called "VIPs"!! (LOL). The show was very nice and upbeat. I think it's a great show to bring your parents, aunts and uncles. As I did see a lot of seniors in the audience. The female entertainer(s) of the show was/were not present. So........,I got no food and no drink and no female performers........ and I feel bad for bringing my friend out because he wanted to see a full show and he had to run at the last minute to get me a bag of chips and some water before I got too dizzy. So, I say that it is a great show. I just so happen to come out on a less than favorable night. We were misinformed at the door and on stage about the service and I think they should take "VIP" off of the vegas.com purchase when you buy seats upfront.

Okay, I realize this is kinda a weird thing to review, but this is strictly for the Adult Hip Hop…read moreclass i've been taking on Tuesdays with Kara and I'm so freaking happy about it, I gotta shout it from the mountain tops! I've come now to a couple classes and definitely want to make it a weekly thing. The drop in price is only $19, which isn't too bad in my opinion! I've been wanting to find an adult dance class because I truly miss dancing so much and haven't really taken classes since I was in high school. It's such a fun workout and I love it. Kara is an incredible teacher! Whether you've never taken a dance class before or if you're actually a dancer or grew up dancing, it's a great class to take! I am really enjoying them and can't wait for more!!! She also always records it at the end so you can show it off (or laugh, whatever your journey is). Such a fun class and the ladies that take it are also all so sweet and welcomed me with open arms at my first class! Can't wait for this week's!

After being with the Dance Zone for 10 years it was a HUGE let down at the end for my daughter…read more NOTHING was offered for her as far as continuing to love and have her passion for dance WITHOUT joining teams. When I expressed that to Jaime, I just got a stupid smile that said, "just keep dancing." The last recital for my daughter was a JOKE! Programs were not available for EVERY ticket sold. I understand the need to go digital however grandparents in attendance want a physical program. During each break we watched a video 4 times on another money grab on getting kids to join teams. When my daughter was 6 she signed up for ballet and was HUMILIATED by Mr. Caine as she showed up in a yellow ballet leo. Rather than speaking to the parent he embarrassed my daughter in front of all her peers. She then decided that Miss Haleigh was the teacher she wanted to stick with because she truly made her feel special and that she was part of a class. When reaching out for additional continuing dance classes I was told, "we don't offer that here unless you join teams." Luckily, we had the grace and caring from Miss Haleigh to understand my daughter's needs and will forever be GRATEFUL that our time on the way out made it not so horrible.

The Horn is a large venue while the BackStage is the black box, smaller performing space. The college presents a variety of shows from musicals to dance to dramas. Tomorrow night, I'll be attending my first show of the new season, "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead." Ticket prices are very reasonable and the performances are quite good. The staff of the box office is very competent and friendly!

My party of four just saw College of Southern Nevada Fine Arts Department's Spring Dance Concert…read more2012 at the Nicholas J. Horn Theatre on the CSN's Cheyenne Campus. Featured were some short interpretative modern dance sketches and the ballet "Xenia Goes West." Besides being a fine production of modern dance and a moving ballet that told the true story of Madame Xenia Chlistowa, the teen-aged Prima Ballerina of the Kirov Ballet who was eventually captured and escaped a concentration camp to resume her professional career and ultimately reach the United States, the auditorium itself was a fine venue to host such a production. A nice fabric curtain rose to reveal a spacious, clean stage with a lip that rested below all audience sight lines except for the first three rows of seats. I was seated in the fifth row, and had a great view of the entire stage. There, corps de ballet members and featured performers danced before a large screen that depicted filmed black-and-white images of uniformed Nazi soldiers on the move into Russia, and some Holocaust concentration camp footage as a backdrop. Sound and lighting were good, and seats were mostly comfortable, with cushioned surfaces but hard arm rests made of wood. About 1,000 seats filled the capacious auditorium that impressively soared to the heavens, albeit with no balcony. It was a different and enjoyable way to spend a Saturday night.
