Really good food and service. We shared a veggie wrap and I'm glad we shared because the half portion was huge and a good for one person. The spicy ranch was so good as well. We also got a iced latte and the pumpkin spice frappe. The iced latte had a good coffee flavor. The inside was pretty hot so sitting outside was actually better. The outside has small and cute tables and shares a patio with the restaurant next door. Our server was so nice and friendly and we were able to get everything we needed.

HIDDEN GEM! and women owned Stopped here on a drive up to Telluride and I am so glad that we did. This spot is perfect for more intimate groups. They have two rooms you can sit in and someone will come up to you and take your order. Be prepared to take some food home as the portions are amazingly large. Perfect cozy spot. Will totally come back if I drive through Fairplay again. highly recommend. Overall 5/5 stars!

The reviews drew us in to try this Cafe and we are so glad we did. We love supporting small businesses and these ladies are working hard to be a success. Its not a big place and you are welcomed almost immediately when you step in. There was a warm glow coming from the fireplace and a warm greeting. We decided to split a peach smoothie & Grilled Chicken (warm) Caesar Wrap with chips. It was the perfect amount for us and so fresh. It is so refreshing to have great food, & service and warm hospitality. We wish them much success as it's only been 1.5yrs in operation and they are continually striving to do better and they are already good.

We took a drive out to Fairplay just for fun and decided we'd stop for a late lunch before turning around and driving back. We like the small, cozy places and picked Mr. Burro over the larger Mexican restaurant next door. Eating at Mr. Burro Cafe is like going to a friends to eat. The atmosphere is clean and relaxed and the food is prepared fresh while you wait. It's probably even a more relaxing experience in the winter if they use the fireplace that's in the main dining area and you order one of their fancy coffees. Their menu concentrates on fresh ingredients, good taste and less grease. You can't get a hamburger, but you can get delicious sandwiches, bagels, salads and wraps. They do serve a simple breakfast if you are so inclined and they have a glass case with freshly baked muffins. The case also had a huge cinnamon roll calling my name so I just had to bring it home for the next morning. In general this is just a wonderfully relaxing place to enjoy a fresh and delicious meal.

Who knew that such a cute little cafe existed in the middle of Fairplay? I was staying at an Airbnb with friends, and the place didn't have coffee as advertised, so we went on a grocery store adventure. En route, I insisted on trying Mr. Burro. The Peppermint Latte was delicious (also very sweet) and I'd want to try the food next time. Or just sit here for a few hours reading and marveling at the cozy décor. It's small, so not the best for large groups.

We were told to check this place out. It was worth the pretty drive from Breckenridge. It is a sweet cozy place! The peppermint mocha was exceptional. My husband got the chilaquiles. That green chili sauce is something to write home about! I had the Eggs Benedict. They were classic and pretty good. The potatoes had lots of flavor. Overall really great meal. After tasting the green chili I wish I had gone with the recommendation of the burrito. Highly recommend!

Fantastic breakfast! We tried the chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, and biscuits and gravy. All were 10/10. Pork green chili was awesome; smother it over your burrito!! The hot mocha was a beautiful and tasty beverage. Service was quick, attentive, and super friendly.

Top tier "women owned" breakfast and lunch place in Fairplay!! We were delighted with the food here. I had a blueberry muffin served with a drizzle of caramel on the plate along with a few fresh blueberries. I also tried the muffuletta sandwich with a side salad. My husband loved the lox sandwich with side salad as well. You get a choice of dressing with salads here, and the lettuce is shredded romaine. We would definitely stop here again when in Fairplay. The service is excellent. Both owners were working behind the counter and also bringing out the food. You order first, they bring it; and you pay at the end. There are two top and four top tables with beautiful decor including a fireplace. It's a very enjoyable space and they work very hard to make sure the customers are happy! Top Notch!!!

What a wonderful find! My wife and I live not too far from found ourselves looking fur a breakfast spot so we decided to drop in. We're so glad we did. We chose one of only a few tables in the main dining room, which is quite small. The place only seats about 15-20 max. We ordered coffee, which was quite good--not your average cup. We were both looking fur comfort food, so we decided to try the biscuits and gravy breakfast plate. I have to say that we both love a biscuits and gravy. We might even consider ourselves experts in the arena. This was top notch stuff. No tiny portions here. The gravy was thick and creamy, with a delicious texture and slathered over soft, delicate biscuits. It was absolutely divine! The eggs were perfect and the potatoes were seasoned just right. On top of that, the service was excellent! We had a great experience here and we're already looking forward to returning. The hard part will be ordering something different when we know how good the B&G is!

I was in Fairplay for a reunion with 2 of my cousins, one from Germany and one from Texas. We stumbled upon this Cafe and am so glad we did. We had wonderful coffee and pastries a couple of days. We also had lunch there one day and it was delicious. We had the Cobb salad, turkey wrap and cilantro avocado toast. Yum! The Cafe is small but cute and clean. The two women owners are gracious and friendly. So great to see women running a business and doing to so well. Highly recommend if you're around Fairplay. read more

I have given this place 3 tries, and each time I was utterly disappointed. Lots of rave reviews, but I'm Not sure what all the fuss is about to be quite honest. I've tried the sandwiches, scones, muffins, pies. Everything was mediocre at best. Even their coffee was weak. Nice people, not much else. read more

Absolutely loved Mr. Burro! We were in FairPlay for the weekend and went both Saturday and Sunday morning for coffee. The owners greeted and waited on us. They were so kind, energetic, and happy to have us! The inside was adorable! Cozy mountain feel with a touch of modern chic. Loved the greenery, and special decorations like the newspaper clipping of their grand opening in town! The coffee, food, and dessert was all delicious with beautiful presentation. I can't recommend the chocolate cake enough (forgot to get a picture of the cake because we ate it too fast). read more

Great food and super nice people! We were passing thru from Breckenridge and looking for a dog friendly option since we had our pup with us. Weather was cold and very windy. The owner took pity and kindly allowed us to eat inside with the dog. We had BLT, tuna, turkey, and bbq pork sandwiches. All were excellent and generous portions. I highly recommend. read more

We were staying in Como, CO for a few days and just stopped in here to get coffee. Wow. Cannot say enough nice things. Noami/Naomi (sorry I know I am destroying her name!). She was the most thoughtful, attentive person who waited on us. The most lovely person. We ordered a cinnamon roll and beignets. Everything was super tasty. My family and I just stopped in on our way to Pagosa Springs and had an incredible lunch. The owner greeted us and was extremely welcoming and took our order right away. I would classify this restaurant as sort of a roadhouse with a large bar, pool table, arcade games, and projection screen. They are set up as a fast casual restaurant ordering food and drinks at the bar and waiting for your order. I had a craving for BBQ so I aimed straight for the vein with their smokehouse chili and I was not disappointed. Hardly any vegetables, but a lot of yummy, smoked, and meaty pieces served in a slightly spicy broth. Their salad looked good and the kids liked their grilled cheeses with side car's of ice cream so everyone was happy. Staff was friendly and stated that they actually have many families with children come by so don't be scared.

It makes me miss living in my home state. Jeremiah was excellent with all of the guests who visited while we were there. He was very knowledgeable about their selection of beers on tap and what food would pair well with them. He had our beers poured in no time and the food was out in a flash. They also have a great assortment of games to play, including some pinball machines. This is all set to the appropriate mountain wood/log vibe on the interior. It also appeared to have a great outdoor eating area for the warmer months. This is a must-visit destination in Colorado!

The staff were super friendly, helpful and let us bunker down in the store for a few hours in the hopes that the windstorm would die down. The storm did not let up and we ended up spending the night with about 350 people at the high school which was set up as an emergency shelter. Really appreciate the team's hospitality and support during a very stressful time. We live in Chicago and are relocating out to Bailey and would come back again to show our support!

The potato salad had a great flavor, texture but was a smidgen dry, coupled with the jalapeños, picked onion and pickles yuumm. Anyway get the 1/2 rack of ribs. The meat was not fall off the bone. It had to make contact with my teeth. Ohhh!!! the rub on it didn't need bbq sauce. The full lunch was exceptionally prepared.

I got brisket, he got salmon. We shared some sides. It was a perfect date. Plus it was fun hanging out with the guy working the smoker as well as the Highside bartender.
