The rice is perfect, as is the butter sauce that comes with it. Perfect every time. The space is always clean and cozy. I went to Mr Chef with a friend and honestly... it feels like a hidden gem in Deltona! As soon as we walked in, the customer service stood out right away. The two young guys at the front were so kind and welcoming--it just felt good to be there. I'm big on customer service, and they really nailed it. The food was sooo good. Somehow they made vegetables and tofu taste amazing (which is not always easy lol). I loved the mango lassi, and the tofu dish we got--it had this orange sauce--was seriously delicious. Went in and got a table, asked the very polite server which chicken entree he would recommend, he replied "with or without curry", and I chose with, of course. He recommended the chicken with mango curry (Chicken Amwala in the menu). Omg... it was so delicious... This was the best Indian food I've had in my life. I would eat the mango curry every day if I could. Crazy good. The restaurant is so far from my home, but I will drive to eat here again. What a gem we found. Normally we have to drive 45 mins to a decent Indian place to eat. This place is amazing. I discovered this place driving home from work and not wanting to cook one Friday afternoon. I ordered the garlic and buttered naan along with butter chicken (mild) and chicken masala (medium). This is a local gem. The food is Authentic Indian cuisine, with good service, and excellent food. My favorite dish, by far, is the Butter Chicken. You just can't go wrong! Some friends invited me to lunch here and none of us had ever been so we gave it a try. It had great Yelp and Google ratings. Upon entering the staff were very friendly. We ordered the naan bowl which had three types of naan and came with some dipping sauce. Each type was phenomenal. Soft and fluffy but also pieces of crunchy bits. I ordered chicken that was made in the tandoori. It was absolutely amazing. The spice level can be anywhere from mild to extremely spicy, just ask your server to help gauge what works best for you! For my meal I went with Chicken vindaloo. The food comes in 2 bowls. Basmati rice in one, curry in the other. LOTS of food. Some could probably share the portion size. It was loaded with perfectly cooked white meat. The amount of heat was perfection. I got a side of garlic naan. Just fyi. 1 order is plenty for 2 people as it is cut into 4 pieces. Moving to Deltona from Winter Park, we noticed there wasn't a diverse type of restaurants here. Located in the Deltona Plaza, Mr. Chef Indian Cuisine opened today, April 17th, 2024. We love good Indian food and had to try it out! You can call into order or order directly on their website. Ordering on their website is an absolute breeze. The menu is very easy to read and understand and it is laid out in a very aesthetically pleasing manner. The prices are what I would except and very in line with food in this area. It's definitely pricing that I would expect from an Indian Restaurant. I placed my order online for paneer, butter, masala, butter chicken, butter naan, and garlic green chili naan. Next to the butter chicken, I asked for it to be spicy. The website said that it would be ready in 30 minutes. About 15 minutes or so after ordering, we were packing up to leave the house when I received a call stating the food was done. Upon arriving, the restaurant was easy to see in the plaza as it has a large red sign. It is on the far right side of the plaza. I went inside to retrieve my order. The inside is very clean and modern. The lady behind the counter was very nice and the service was quick. The food smelled divine! I couldn't wait to dive in after opening it! Everything was so delicious! The butter chicken had spice, like we asked for. It had great flavor. Both of the naan's were delicious. The garlic green chili one definitely has some heat behind it - the flavor is amazing. The paneer butter masala was very mild in spice but incredibly flavorful.
