Updated review 8/11/22 I'm at year 4 of my install and the true colors of this company (and owner Denny) has shown! I had some early issues from their rushed install, such as a major one of not seating the propane nozzle bar with a screw, which caused it to burn outside the nozzle. This also shut the unit off on temp overload! I fixed it myself and they replaced the overload to get it running. They also don't have the intake/exhaust ran correctly as the photo shows. Since the install in 2018 it has ran fine until the last week of July and we lost all cooling. I never got a firm appointment to fix it and they did come out twice to put a band-aid of freon in it. They put dye in to find a leak and wouldn't return to address the leaking evaporator coil in the inside unit although I have a warranty. I was told by the company that fixed me up that they should have fixed it correctly the first visit to put freon in instead of letting it go low pressure again. This is after telling him we both had medical issues needing it fixed! We ended up going to another company to get it fixed! He flies a Christian banner on his billboard ads, talks like he cares, but obviously it's a front. Stay away! You have been warned how they operate there! read more

I started calling for service about seven years ago. We needed a thermostat installed and one of our heat pump units checked. Mr. Comfort arrived on the hottest day of the summer, installed the thermostat, made a couple of minor repairs, and advised that the unit was fine and did not need to be replaced. I was impressed with his honesty. He has replaced capacitors and charged our units and always says, there's plenty of life in them. I have finally gotten our upstairs unit replaced, and Denny sent me proposals for 5 brands and units. After researching reliability and energy savings, he installed a new Bosch unit. His son Kaiden, along with his crew, installed it in a day. Everything was replaced with new wiring, ductwork, and a more efficient system. The job was done neatly and with attention to detail. The unit runs perfectly! Kaiden went over the details of what was done with pictures and an explanation of the materials involved. I couldn't be more pleased and glad that Mr. Comfort did the job! I was looking for a company to replace my AC/Heater because my unit was very old. I received quotes from several Companies. My friend had her unit replaced and she highly recommended Mr. Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning. I called their office and requested a meeting. The owner, Dennis Mellott came and met with me to look over my unit. He made several recommendations and of course, I had several questions, and he took his time to answer all of them. Being a single women I then requested Dennis meet with my son-in-law and myself to go over the remainder of questions we had. He was knowledgeable, patient with me. I made the decision to go with the Bosch ac and furnace. The technicians came for the installation, and they were all polite and knowledgeable on the installation. I give Mr. Comfort 5 Starts because of his speedy response to my, not so urgent, situation. Denny (the owner and repairer) is trustworthy and kind. He is not trying to talk to you into a new unit. Actually, just the opposite! We had him out four years ago and he put what we thought would be a short-term fix on our air condition unit to get us through the rest of the summer. To our surprise that has lasted much longer. When we had to call him this time, we thought okay this might be bad. Once again, he had the answer and was able to fix our unit. I will call him every time. I will trust him. When he tells me it's time for a new unit, it will be time. His price was more than fair. And I have to say, his billboard on route 40 makes me smile every time I pass by, it has a bible verse: "You are more than you know" 1 John 4:4 That one line has changed my life. Thank you, Denny! I decided to get a heat pump due to the age of my existing oil heater. Once I met with Denny, I felt very comfortable with my decision. Within a few days, he had three plans for me to choose from with each including a 10 year warranty on parts and labor. Once I decided on the plan that worked best for my house, he scheduled for the heat pump to be installed the following week. His staff was prompt and extremely knowledgeable. The staff took the time to explain how the heat pump and the digital thermostat worked. They also removed the existing heater and oil tank. I am now enjoying my heat pump every night. I called this business at 7:30 am and received a call back within an hour. He told me it would have too be after lunch because he was installing a heater. He called before he showed and was at my place by 2:00. He worked on the broken heater and had it back on by 3:30. He asked me if I wanted to see what he was doing and explained everything. Dennis Mellott is an amazing guy! He came out late on a Friday night to fix our heat when no one else would.
