Mr. Duct sent two technicians to clean the ductwork within my home as well as a relative's home across the street. The Techs. were very polite and respectful people. The work began at my relative's home with a one hour delay due to a non-functional air compressor. I would have thought functional testing of the equipment prior to arrival would be common practice, but evidently not for Mr. Duct. I would have expected a professional means of connection for the 8" vacuum line to my system, but instead it was crudely fastened using duct tape. The duct tape was also used to join the numerous sections of 8" vacuum hose together which I found odd for a company whose main focus is the cleaning of ductwork. Why don't they have a system of couplers to join the sections??? Managing the negative pressure generated by the vacuum would seem to be the key to successfully removing as much dust and dirt from the duct. If one path is available, it stands to reason the negative pressure would be greatest via this path. With that being said, it made no sense when one Tech. went to each level of the home removing the registers in advance of the other tech who introduced the compressed air hose into the duct with the purpose of dislodging the dust/dirt. Starting at the furthest point from the furnace on the highest level of the home made sense as this would naturally allow the dust to migrate downward. What didn't make sense was not closing off open registers when the compressed air was delivered through the main return and supply ducts in the sub-basement of the home, causing clouds of dust to be emitted from the registers and into our home. When I brought this to the attention of the Tech., he mad a cursory attempt at cleaning the mess by dragging the 8" hose from my sub-basement, through my family room, and onto the main level where my kitchen and living room were dust laden. I was told on the phone that a HEPA filtered vacuum would be used for access point cleaning, yet none was brought into either home. I was told photo/video evidence of before and after conditions would be shared with me; none was produced. As my ducts had never been cleaned before, I would assume they are less dirty than before Mr. Duct serviced them. However, given the experience at mine and my relatives home I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are in need of duct cleaning. Break is over, my wife and I are cleaning the mess left by Mr. Duct. read more

WOW! Am so pleased with Mr. Duct! Ricky arrived on time, was very professional and friendly, explained the process and got to work immediately. I purchased a small, older home which required many changes and upgrades ... but it was never suggested by any of the contractors that the ducts should be cleaned afterward to remove the debris. When he was finished (the whole process took a little less than two hours), Ricky showed me what was in the ducts. Yikes! Ricky had a big job here today ... but he was a pleasure to have in my home ... he was meticulous, and even replaced screws that were damaged on the vent! Initially, the quoting process was misleading. I requested a quote on duct cleaning and furnace cleaning and all subsequent e-mails after I agreed to the scope of work indicated there would be an up-charge for the furnace cleaning even though my quote had a line item for it. I had to repeatedly question it before someone higher up responded. The service itself was above average, so I give credit where it is due. My ducts needed a cleaning from 40+ years of build-up since the previous owners of my house had never had them cleaned. After work was completed and the team left, I did a walk-through of my vents and discovered one that was missing a screw and one of the return covers was reinstalled upside down. I contacted them about it and, in fairness, they offered to come back out and re-secure the one that was missing the screw. It wasn't a big deal, so I took care of that. However, some days later I was in my garage and found another vent they missed when I stepped on the grate cover for it. I contacted them about it as a heads up and never heard back. This year I ended up going with another vendor for my cleaning simply because they couldn't be bothered to acknowledge my e-mail. read more

This company was just phenomenal. I contacted through email for information and received a prompt follow-up. Once I answered a few questions, I was given a very thorough quote with accompanying literature explaining everything. That, first off, told me that this was a reputable company. Plus, the quote was quite a bit lower than other companies I had researched. On the day of the appointment, 9/26/14, my appointment was scheduled between 3 and 5pm. I received a call from a very nice lady in the office asking if there was any was the technicians could come earlier since jobs were moving along. Are you kidding? Be done even earlier on my day off? YES!! Score! David and Ernesto arrived promptly at 1:30. They were super nice and respectful of everything in my home from the get-go. They explained everything they were doing and asked multiple times if I had questions about anything. They showed me pictures of before and after. They put up with me being in their way. They were even chatty! I always love a good conversation and they certainly put up with me. Niceness aside, what they found in my ducts was proof enough that having this service was the right thing to do. The piles of debris, spiders and even construction concrete was astounding, and they removed it all. They even wiped down all the vents before replacing them, and vacuumed the floors. This place was incredible, I had my air ducts cleaned. I purchased a foreclosed home, and the former owners had let the care slide a lot. They were smokers and had at least one pet, as evidenced by the hair in all the registers. I KNEW I had to get it cleaned out. I did a lot of shopping around, and I did find better prices, but this company uses better equipment and is a lot more thorough than the cheaper competition. I have had friends in this business in the past, so I knew more about the topic than most. They were able to get me set up for a cleaning the following day, dealt with an empty house without any trouble, locked up behind them, and left zero mess from their own equipment. They took detailed pictures of the process and the before/after shots were almost startling. They were worth every penny. 10/11/16 Mr. Duct! This company is named for exactly what they do. Their expertise and focus, benefits everyone. Need your ducts cleaned? Then call Mr. Duct! They thoroughly cleaned our dryer vent that hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. When you call, an actual living, competent and friendly person will answer the phone (in my case Brittany). Beware, some companies you call, are actually call centers who contract the work out to different companies. Then, surprise, surprise, a company you didn't call (or check-out) shows up. Extremely deceitful. When I called Mr. Duct, all my questions were answered and an appointment was set-up at my convenience. The price I was quoted, was the price I was charged. And, Mr. Duct didn't try to 'upsell' me, you know, buy this product or sign up for this service. I was called prior to their arrival. Two gentlemen showed up right at the appointed time. They were nicely dressed, very polite, extremely efficient and highly experienced. Big shout-out to Alfonso and Andy. You guys rock. Mr Duct serviced my home today. I am livid. Though the two workers were nice and polite. The service was incredibly half a**** and sloppy. I called the manager to get a discount since the work was not complete. He said no and within seconds emailed me the invoice. The workers were leaving, yet had left my backyard door open the garage door open and did not take my payment. I had to go after them in the street. Right before they pulled off. To take the $295 over priced undeserved payment. Be warned be ready to do cleaning after they leave. If anyone is foolish enough to hire this company. Should be able to rate ZERO stars. Was a very disappointing experience. Mr. Duct charged me $254 for service and 1.5 lbs of Freon, which supposed to have taken care of the AC for this season. Instead we had no relief from the 90 degrees heat wave over the labor day weekend. I called them back the next morning and emailed, expecting a courtesy follow-up by a tech since we already paid for a service we did not receive. Since they are local to my town expected that I guess. But I was informed that I would have to pay the $119 tech visit charge. Wish I could charge my consulting clients for just visiting their offices. Anyway, we have had used others for AC repair before and the experience has never been this disappointing and un-friendly. They did show up on time but then everything went downhill. Everytime they came back inside they tracked mud in the house which you could clearly see at each vent. They cut 2 holes in my return, which I was told they would seal with a special tape when done. I asked the lead tech about before they left and was told they don't do that. They chipped the paint on my newly painted wall and scratched another wall next to the door. No image video as I was told. I called and they sent another crew out to fix the F ups the first crew created. I watched them patch the hole in my return and they said the 2 F ups didn't even try to patch the other hole. My husband and I have recently taken over my mother's home. The vents have not been inspected nor cleaned since the early 90's. To say the system was filthy is an understatement. Our appointment time was honored. The two guys that came were early and went straight to work. They did not mind me hovering over them watching their work - I am annoying like that. They were very professional, quick yet thorough, and explanatory with what they were doing. They used a mini-camera to show my husband a before and after shot of the vents. It seemed like a whole different home after cleaning. I also have to replace my filters less and the dust is not easily apparent on our furniture until 1.5 weeks later. Even the dust layer that forms is just a tiny little layer compared to what we were dealing with before. I am not sure but I think the guy who came along with his partner was Jose'. They did a great job. He showed us the before and after pictures of the ducts and we certainly could see a huge difference. I had these guys clean the two furnaces at the house, to sum it up they did a wonderful job. There were two techs, one's name is Roberto and the other was Juan. They were friendly and explain to me the process of duct cleaning and even showed me on video camera before they cleaned and showed me again after they cleaned.
