These guys were worth every penny. Know this, I'm a tough consumer. I called many places and learned a lot before I chose them. And, Mr. Duct charges more than most - but, there is a ABSOLUTE REASON FOR IT. Get this, I had a company come to my home (for about 200 less) 7 years ago and now I know why I paid less and why other companies charge a less. The old company just vacuumed/sucked up from the trunk line. The old company barely brushed/pushed from the vents with a manual brush. Mr. Duct did WAAAAAY MORE. They vacuumed from both the supply and return lines. But, they AIR pushed with a whip each and every vent! This is a major difference. (THINK AIR WITH A RUBBER WAND THAT IS TRULY BLOWING AND WHIPPING AROUND KNOCKING THE DUST DOWN TO THE VACUUM) plus the vacuum on the trunk end....you need to do both suck and push from each vent. And, they air line whipped down MANY feet - up to about 20 feet from what I could see. (Not just a few feet to "pretend" they are doing it.) And, they "really" did each vent. I saw them. They also put a sheet of paper on each vent so the suction would be "greater" on the vent they were working on. Makes common sense! No wonder why they cost more, they actually did their job. But wait, theres more. There were two guys - not just one. Big difference right there. They were both working 2-3 hours non stop to get this done. Right there was worth the extra money. I was happy to learn I was actually getting what I was paying for. They cut several small holes in my trunk line (don't worry, each one was plugged up and it does NOT affect the functionality of anything - you actually want them to do this as much as possible - it's a good thing and takes them time to do) they did this to really whip and clean each of the major arteries of the trunk. Makes sense. If you don't allow them to do this, you are only hurting yourself cause they won't reach as much dust. Also, these guys are "actual certified furnace" technicians. Major plus. (ya know, AC guys who are servicemen and trained.) Mario pulled the blower motor out of my furnace and cleaned all the dust out. (regular duct guys can't operate on your furnace - these guys did and that and it was good having someone look over my furnace and clean it up. It keeps your furnace going strong and that is like saving 100.00 on a yearly service call right there.) And, he dusted the heating elements in the furnace too. That alone took like 20 minutes to take the blower motor completely out and clean up. Again, I saw them do this.. I just had my wood floors done so they were pretty dusty. Mario and Jonathan were polite and kind the entire time. No wonder they cost more, they do their job the old fashioned way. They earn it. They checked (at no charge) for me the humidifier pad and we noticed it was brand new - (which wasn't good because it means it wasn't being used!!) I then realized I never turned the water drip back on my humidifier line last year when I put my new water heater in. Because of them, my humidifier is functional again. They didn't have to do that - but, they did as a favor. I like companies like this. I would strongly recommend this company. In sum, I think they like to keep their service guys busy when they aren't doing repair work - so, they have this business going. I'm sure they make some profit on the air duct work - but, they are smartly "earning" it. They are the real deal !! And, I want you to know I don't work for this company - I just like being good to those who are good to me. IT's nice not to get ripped off and get your monies worth. Rocky from Lisle read more

This was the first time I have had the ducts cleaned. I wasn't sure what to expect so I looked to yelp for good local reviews. The crew from Mr. Duct were Emmanuel and Blake. They arrived early and waited for me to get home. They explained everything before starting, and did exactly what they said. I had gotten an estimate from Tom by phone beforehand, and there were no problems or surprises. They took great care and respected my home. I would certainly recommend Mr.Duct and use them again. This is the worst customer experience I have ever had for people working in my house providing a service for me. The tech blamed the office for not telling me to prepare my house for duct cleaning and that I had to move furniture and everything away from the ducts because that is not their job. While this is all going on, I'm on an important conference call that I wound up missing. When l called the office to complain, they told me the technician said he did and would move things after I had already done it. The manager's resolution to this was to have them pack up and go home or finish what they could of the job. Then I wrote a yelp review and the owner of the company called me profusely apologizing and making sure that I walked away feeling better about the situation. He is working with his staff to improve the customer service that I experienced. I think that says a lot for an owner of a company. read more

For the past few days my fairly new clothes dryer was not drying my clothes properly. After looking on the Internet to troubleshoot it, I figured let me get a company out here to clean out my ductwork that leads to my dryer before calling the manufacturer to fix my clothes dryer. I actually emailed Mr. Duct at around 2 AM in the morning and received a phone call the very next day and had two technicians come to my home. They worked very hard. They removed a massive amount of wet and dry lint in my ductwork and didn't stop until it was completely clean.. Jim and Ryan were so professional. They advised me ways to eliminate this problem in the future. They both need to be commended for a job well done and I truly believe that they are an asset to Mr. Duct. Thank you again Jim and Ryan for coming out so quickly to resolve my issue. I could not have had nicer people in my home to help me with my problem. Great job guys! Such a great company and great professional technicians. I highly recommend this company to anyone with this issue and ask for Jim and Ryan because they make a great team! read more

The fact that I saved money over another company's estimate was the initial incentive to use Mr. Duct. I was very pleased with the service, and especially pleased that Mr. Duct was able to get a servicemen out promptly. The servicemen were courteous, polite, and worked in a very efficient manner. There was no air coming out of my dryer vent so I assumed it was clogged (we had fan motor replaced a few months ago but duct/vent had never been cleaned). I explained to the dispatcher that my dryer ducting was only about 2 feet long and attached to the exterior wall next to my back door (meaning super easy to clean), she said they only charged flat rate of $195 regardless of how long it took (1 hr. or 5 hrs.) Well I didn't want to haggle because she said they would come out that day. Turns out problem was dryer fan motor (again) and not vents. In fact vents were completely clean and didn't need any work. So after 10 minutes I was handed a bill for $195 even though no service was provided. I wouldn't have paid it except the technicians were very nice and I didn't want to get them in trouble. I would have gladly paid $50-75 for a service call because they did come out, but FULL PRICE for no work is robbery. This place is a rip off and has no concern for their customers. Avoid this company, I'm sure there are many others companies that would appreciate your business. read more

It has taken me a long time to write this review, as I have mixed feelings about this company. September 2014 we hired Mr. Duct to clean our vents. Our AC drip pan rusted through and damaged the neighbors garage.We bought a new AC/Furnace and thought it would be a great time for duct cleaning.When I called to make the appointment, everyone that I spoke to was great. Very informative, told me exactly how much it would cost, what to expect, and what time to expect it. Great customer service. Two guys came out to do the job. They were both in different rooms doing different aspects of the job. All seemed to go well, except a couple of days afterwards, my husband is looking for his camera. We both knew it was out because we had been taking pictures for insurance purposes. We are the only people that live in the home and have access to the home. The last time we saw the camera was the morning of the duct cleaning. I called Mr. Duct and explained how we were missing our camera and suggested that maybe the camera was picked up accidentally. Should the workers have accidentally picked it up, we just wanted it returned, no questions or repercussions would be done. Natalie was very concerned, polite and responsive. She said that she would check into it and get back to me. She did call me back later that day and suggested that I file a police report, which we did. Sadly, I have learned an important and expensive lesson.... never trust anybody who comes into your home. read more

We were having issues with our furnace not blowing out warm air. They sent Dave B. out to us who repeadtely told us that it was due to our air filter not being changed. I admitted that it was overdue for changing by a few days, if that. I kept trying to tell him that the issue wasn't that the air filter was preventing air from coming out - in fact, it was blowing out of the vents full force, but that the air was coming out cold. He dismissed what I was telling him and kept trying to correct me, telling me that "the reason no air is coming out was because of the air filter needing to be changed." Given that the technician would not even listen to us, we ended up calling a different company that discovered, within 2 minutes, that the sensor needed to be cleaned. I would not recommend this company solely based on the fact that they do not listen to you to find out what the actual problem is. read more

I interviewed several companies before we made a decision to go with Mr. Duct. I also read every review I could find on them and after much research we chose to go with this company. They exceed our expectations!!! We have a fairly large house with over 60 vents. (many of which we don't use). Mr Duct was one of the only companies that didn't charge us by the vent and they were the only ones that offered the video inspection. They were very, very professional, came right on time and explained everything to us along the way. It was extremely cold, but they suggested a method that reduced having our home wide open which made it more bearable. They were also one of the only companies that cleans your furnace as part of the job, and don't add on for every little thing. One person wrote that they up-sale but we found that to be far from the truth as well. They are not the cheapest guys but they are worth every penny to have the job done in this manner. Don't be lured by the low jprice, This is the company you want in your home. read more
