Had took my Transmisión for a rebuild was supposed to get a complete rebuild with new torque converter clutch kit and gears ,took a long time to get my truck back when I got it back crossmember from the Transmisión was missing bolts , contacted Mr. George and his answer was that someone is messing with me, went to the junkyard myself and got the bolts and installed them with red threadlock, while I was under there also seen that they didn't put a new torque converter !Transmisión end up giving up in 2 months took it back. They had it for three months and when I got it back, had a leak at that point decided to take it to someone else 1,600$down the drain read more

My mechanic to go for the past 15 years. Very honest but what I like the most, he gives you the diagnostic, some options at very reasonable prices. If you are not happy he looks at your car again and again. Of. Purse, he does not make miracles.... Given that your car needs a repair not a replacement. I came here to get my brakes done. I told Jorge I have lifetime warranty with auto zone for brake pads so I can provide the parts. He ended up using his own brake pads and charged me $138 more because of it! I told him before he started the job that I am able to get my lifetime warranty at autozone, but he didn't listen. Then the next day the master cylinder went out while I was driving and it was scary because my brakes did not work. I do not recommend this mechanic. read more

I had taken my cars to george in the past with no problems before, but just this last march i took my ford edge to him and he kept it for 2 weeks without even looking at it. I had to call him then he finally checked it out and said he had replaced the hosevto the throttle body and cleaned out the throttle body. So i get my car and the same day its running like before. I called him the next day and he checked it out again and replaced the flow meter sensor ok this is another week gone by. So i pick up my car and same thing running even worse. I call him and now he says we need to change out the throttle body. Well 2 weeks or more have gone by and i keep calling him to see if he recieved the part yet. No not yet but 2 days later he gets it. I took my car back he switches it out and i leave. Same nite my car is running even worse. I take my car for the forth time and now he is rewiring my wires to what i have no idea. I informed him i was paying him for that. He then tells me my car has 16 codes on it when it had only 1 the first time i took it to him. He says now i need to replace or reboot the computer but he has a guy that will come down and do it for him. I payed him around $500 for supposedly fixing my car and havent heard back from him since then. Its been over 2 months. And someone else informed me the throttle body on my car looks used not new so i think he used the same one but just cleaned it up. Yeah never again will i speak to george only in court when i sue him. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I feel it necessary to warm others. Dropped my truck off at Mr.Ed's Auto on recommendation from a neighbor. Georege, the manager, said he would call and give me a quote for repair before doing any work. After a couple days not hearing from him i called for an update. Assured me they ran full diagnostics and knew the issue. Would have a quote for me in a couple days. After a few more days not hearing from him and no calls whatsoever, I went by the shop. Upon arrival I found my truck sitting at the Walgreens accross the street. Told them I didn't like them leaving my truck off the gated property. He said they bring it back everyday. I took photos and marked the tire before leaving that day. The next week, called george again after not hearing from him. Assured me he had all the necessary parts and they would have the truck finished by the following Wednesday. This was 1 more week away from my visit. Waited the week. Showed up Wednesday (today) only to find my truck sitting in the exact same Walgreens space, tire mark not moved at all, and my front license plate missing. Confronted George about the situation and the missing plate. He actually accused me of taking the plate then flipped the story to the plate not being on the truck when it was dropped off. The truck was in his possession 1 month while he lied several times not only about the time frame and progress of the project but also about the unsafe location they parked my property. Now I have to file a police report, go to DMV, get new plates and take more of my personal time to resolve the issue created by this dishonest man. And my truck is still not fixed. No repairs or diagnostics were even started in the month they possessed the vehicle. 0 stars for George read more

My family has been taking our cars to George for years. He is a good mechanic and does his best to fix your car problems. He is always on it even though he is super busy. George is always working on multiple cars but remembers everything related to your car. Super impressive. Good prices and tries to get your Car back to you in a timely matter. Great service at this local mechanic shop. I'm always concerned about getting scammed but they were willing to check out my car and test it without charging me bs. My car's issue were explained to me while the service was professional the entire time. I suggest calling in the morning to schedule an appointment but I was lucky they were still able to squeeze me in when I had an emergency. So grateful to have found my mechanic! read more

I had my first experience with the owner George a few weeks ago and I must say that he is now my new family mechanic. I told my parents about the great work and prices he offers and they are going to him now. I must warn you that he has a big shop but he is always very busy. I have been going to a mechanic for about 10 years now that does really good work, but charges me a lot. George did just as good of a job and charged me half the price. The owner was very friendly and gave me a ride to and from work. The car looked great till I opened the trunk when I got home to place my rubber floor mats back into the car. I discovered them to be dirty not even touched. The son's owner called me to apologize but when talking to him he hung up the phone on me. This place will never get my business again. I was referred by Bethlehem Ford dealership and the manager said they do excellent work. But I don't believe so, beware when leaving and inspect everything. read more

I agree with the other previous customers If there was a rating star less then 1 this is what George, operating manager at Mr. Eds, would receive. Should you decide to risk your vehicle, and posible life at this establishment be for warned you will also be cheated out of both time and money. I took my Jeep to George because my seal was worn and leaking, to get to the seal they removed the vacuum plate. Parts to my vehicle were reinstalled incorrectly. I drove the Jeep home and 5 miles out of George's shop my car wheel started smoking. I got towed home that night$$. After the install I returned, with video and pictures of the smoking wheel, and latter returned an additional 4 times, because the plate they installed backwards, kept screeching and grinding), during each tedious back and forth return to Mr. Eds, (loss of time) I was assured by George, that he would physically be there, that was not so, and that the install problem was resolved. Also not true, a couple of months (2) after Mr. Eds, install labor my seal started leaking again. I had to reinstall parts and seals correctly $$$costly. Recently when I returned (with video footage of smoking parts, pictures, busted parts and labor receipts at hand) to extend the civil opportunity for George to rectify the situation. I was told by George, that the labor was already completed and therfore he couldn't refund me any of the portion of the money, I had spent for neither the parts they ruined nor the labor they performed. The licensed reputable 4x4, establishment that reinstalled my plate, relayed to me that eventually my axle would have cracked and this could have resulted in both a very serious and or deadly accident. George, is compassionate and reasonable, he will assure you that his mechanics are competent, licensed, professionals, all prior to them working on your vehicle. #!PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THEM!# I thank the Lord, that this experience didn't result in a horrific tragedy for myself, family and any innocent bystander on the FWY. read more

Would not recommend this shop to anyone. Wish I could go into all the details but that would take way to long. Long story short took my car to him in December 2015 just got it back today April 2016. And that's after I had to get my car insurance involved for a fire that started in the engine while at his shop. It has been a long and unfriendly experience. The "word limitation" does not allow me to write all the details. Hence, I want you to simply understand that you might be frustrated/cheated and might go through loss of time & money, if you decide to get your car repaired at Mr Ed Auto Repairs. Moreover, just that you are aware, you will be obtaining services from a business which takes out parts/bolts from your car and not even tell you when you pick up the car. I am not sure about others, but this is something that they did to my car. I would have not known about it, if the other auto other repair shop where I took my car would have made me call Mr Ed Auto Repair to find out about the missing parts/bolts. If there was a "star" less than "0", that is what I would give them. Hope this is helpful. read more

My engine had rod knock. Owner takes off transmission off my car with out telling me and then charges me 300 for it. Went to another shop that took care of what I need but they charged me to reinstall the transmission. It should of never been off in the first place!! Beware read more
