A classic donut joint if you know what I'm talking about. Ham cheese jalapeño croissant is always my favorite at donut shops and at this place it is nicely executed - the ratio of all the ingredients was perfect and everything tasted great. I had a glazed donut which also was fresh and on point. They make bagels and breakfast sandwiches which I haven't tried yet but they look good. Prices are also reasonable. Not sure what the fuss is about here. Some of the worst donuts I've had in a long time, there was nothing at all remarkable about them. At least the coffee was decent. Staff was friendly, but they do charge you an extra dollar for any credit card transaction under $10 so that was kind of a bummer. Again, I don't know why I went here and I will not be heading back. Trying to find the best apple fritter, and I see another YE is on the same path. There's only one place so far leading the pack, and Mr. Good didn't beat it. Although, the price is right, the apple fritter is a bit thin, but I'll give them the right amount of apple championship. Every bite had a delightful bite of apple filling. Now, if the dough was a bit fluffier, rather than dense, with more cinnamon, it would be a great contender for the #1 apple fritter on my list. Service was great. I was greeted when I came in and fast! It wasn't busy at all when I came in around 8:30 am. I imagine it's much busier for those getting to work at the 8 o'clock hour. Was driving home and felt like getting a donut shop egg croissant sandwich, found Mr Goods through yelp as I passed Glendale. Boy am I glad I did! I love trying fresh made breakfast croissant sandwiches usually with either sausage, ham or bacon combined with egg and cheese. Different mom and pop shops have their versions. I think from an "egg" forward version Mr Goods is now my fave! The egg was pillowy and fluffy and a good healthy portion of the sandwich. It was well seasoned and the ham and cheese included in their number 7 (The Hoag) was a perfect mix for me. The sandwich was also piping hot, it was definitely prepared fresh and fast, I didn't ask but I think she cooked the egg to order in a pan as opposed to just warming an already precooked scramble-,that is next level service. You'll see in the photo how great this sandwich looked. Well it tasted just as great. The shop of course also serves donuts and while I did not grab one they had a great looking selection as well. I paired my sandwich with a simple iced coffee no sugar. Hit the spot!!! You can take out of course but the shop also has four booth style tables where you can sit and eat your selections if you choose. I found this little shop by accident while my car was having maintenance services at the lot across the street. I ordered a cup of coffee and #9 bagle time but replaced the bagle with croissant.
