There's never been a gyro I didn't like. However, I HATE cucumbers and this place puts cucumbers in their gyro which I really loved. I usually need to get 2 gyros here with no sides because 1 is not enough without a side (unless you are not a big boy like me). The portion could be a tad bigger but no complaints by me. read more

Mr Gyro is magical The food is cheap, delicious, and plentiful-- two gyros, a side salad, and an order of fries feeds me, the husband, and the toddler with extra to spare. While the space is... less than cozy, the guys working are always super friendly, cute, and serve me food quickly. Considering I live literally a block from here, I don't eat here nearly enough. The gyro is always so good. Really good. Tzatziki sauce is so good. Both their Greek fries and hummus aren't really the best, but gyro is good enough to forget about it. Visit here during a sunny summer day, you'll see a line out the door, around the block with people visiting the heart of Greenwood. While the food is phenomenal, the service is just as good. The two guys I see working there regularly are some of the nicest people I've met. This tiny gyro shop is like a Tardis - looks small on the outside and is amazing inside! They make simple, delicious mediterranean sandwiches, salads, and platters. Everything is fresh, and they heat the flatbreads on the grill. If you stay in you'll enjoy hot tea for free, and their festive music and atmosphere. What's there to say about Mr. Gyros that hasn't already been said? This is my go-to falafel spot. I usually order the sandwich, but switch it up sometimes and get the plate. Both are quickly prepared (falafel is cooked to order) with fresh ingredients and served with a smile. I love the free mint tea as well; it's a great alternative to water and it's even better that they aren't charging for it! I enjoy the hot sauce they have available; it's flavorful and a great addition to the falafel. If you like Greek fries, these are outstanding. They are a thicker cut as you can see in other people's photos, so they won't fall down under the weight of the cheese. They appear to have remodeled this location since we were last here, and they partitioned the dining room off from the kitchen; there's always plenty of seating, and you bus your own dishes when done. My wife and I started eating at Mr. Gyros years ago when they were running out of their first shop in Greenwood, but since we are in Ballard more often, this our preferred location. I discovered this place awhile back, and became hooked instantly. The owner is gracious, good natured, and willing to be friends with any one who walks in the door. I only make it here every now and again, since I live far from the area, always out of an intense desire that can only be satisfied with the spiced meat, and fresh tahini sauce found in their gyros.
