So one of my favorite places is gyro stop in bothell. I'm glad I can get the same excellent gyros in Wallingford which is much more convenient for me. My chicken shawarma sandwich with garlic sauce was bomb.com. John the owner was super friendly. I left my backpack and he came running out to give it back to me. Will I be back? Without a doubt. Our new go to take out place. So many evenings since Mr gyros came into the neighborhood, strangely, and especially on days when it's mr husband's turn to cook, we end up getting take out from here. Not that I'm complaining. It's win- win either ways. I almost always get the falafel sandwich. Very good and a sizeable meal. I've never been able to wait to take a pic. Sorry :) the husband tries out the meat stuff and seeing that we keep going back there, looks like all is well. There was this once that the falafel wasn't fully cooked- I could taste the raw garbanzo. But they are allowed an off day and I've had the same thing many times with absolutely no complaints. Mr. Gyros is hands-down one of my favorite places to eat in Seattle, so thank goodness it's only two blocks from my work. I'm always blown away at the value of their food. A huge plate of food (gyro with 3 sides) is only $10 and not only is it delicious, but it's incredibly filling and I'm always left feeling amazed that I just at that well and paid so little. This was perfectly average. This would be fine if it didn't bear the "Mr. Gyros" name. They have such a reputation for delicious food (and I've always agreed previously!), but they seem to be missing quality control here. If it were a blind taste test I wouldn't even know it was the same restaurant. Please fix guys, I was so happy to have you closer but would rather go to Ballard and have an excellent gyro. (I was also disappointed that the $2.39 side of fries was only about 12 fries - they told me it was the same size as the fries in the combo, which makes no sense because you get a soda too for the same price.) read more

Mr. Gyros in Ballard used to be my favorite quick weeknight bite. Fast, consistent, with friendly people. The Wallingford version was the opposite. Took 30 minutes to finish my super simple order (with only 3 orders ahead of me), they messed up my order twice, and were snarky about fixing it when they messed it up. It gets 2* only because the food is still decent. Next time I'll walk to Ballard. It'll take less time than waiting for this clown show. read more

Love mr gyros. I go to all their locations but today in particular I wanted to write a review because of the staff. The guy working was probably the most friendly guy ever (longer hair, beard)... When we moved from Ballard to Wallingford the only drawback was that we wouldn't be within walking distance to Mr Gyros. But then, in a delightful twist of fate, a Wallingford location opened only 2 blocks from the new place. Could life get any better? I doubt it. The food is authentic, delicious, and fairly priced. Of the many, many times that I have eaten here the closest I've gotten to a complaint was the one time that I accidentally said falafel instead of gyro plate. But, considering that was 100% my fault and the falafel turned out to be really tasty, just not my regular order, it actually forced me to try something new on the menu and really like it. So, not a complaint at all. The customer service is unparalleled, quite honestly. The brothers who own the place are genuinely nice people and the staff are always warm and welcoming. Whether they actually remember me or just pretend to doesn't matter, since they are so nice every time :) Happy for the new location and would absolutely recommend. read more

This place is awesome. I recommend the lamb/beef gyro plate. You get a well balanced meal that has great meat, a zesty salad and some delicious rice. The food gets a 5/5 in my book, but the friendly service really seals the deal. They have hot tea available to sip on during your meal and while you wait. They are serving up food fast though so you don't have to wait long. Compared to other gyro places in the area, this is my new favorite. Woohoo! read more

Ordered 2 gyro plates, the hummus had a blob of hot sauce in it so I couldn't eat it. The tzatziki tasted like sour cream, no cucumber or herbs. It was served with pasty white rice. I'm really excited about Mr. Gyros opening in Wallingford. I hadn't eaten at any of their locations previously but I've had a few things at this new location and everything I've had so far is great. The food was fabulous! I had the falafel plate with hummus, baba, salad, and pita (no rice). It was really, really good. The presentation was good too, especially given they mostly do take out. Ordered lamb kabob what I was served was water nasty old chopped up gyro meat. It was completely inedible. Hands down the most disgusting lamb kabob sandwich in Seattle. Why or why is it taking so long fir the mr gyro in greenwood to get rebuilt? I'm seriously craving a good lamb kabob sandwich. Everywhere else just serves nasty mystery meat. Update your hours. It's not difficult, especially when you consider it a basic courtesy to your customers. It's just flat-out lazy, and shows that you take the people that keep you in business for granted. Both Yelp and your own website list your hours as open when you are not. If you don't value your customers' time, then I assume you don't set high standards anywhere else. You've lost my business. read more

As I continue to try all the food places! (In Wallingford) the next stop on my list was mr gyros. I stopped in this morning right after they opened and the first thing I noticed was the smell. Not sure what kind of meat I was smelling but it was amazing! I ended up ordering the lamb gyro. Not only was it completely filling, it was probably the best take out gyro I've ever had. For some reason I always seem to feel disappointed when I get gyros but today was quite the opposite. The place is clean and the 2 guys working while I was there were super friendly. One guy saw that I work at taco time and told me he would give me a discount next time! I'll definitely be back soon to try the hummus and a couple other items. When I do I'll be sure to update this review. And most likely change my review to 5 stars. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars (yet) is because I want to try more on the menu. read more
