There special hot dog in the moment had Highland Brewery Beer Cheese, yellow mustard, bacon bits, and onions. I ordered that (minus the onions) and 3 pretzel knots with Lusty Monk mustard. I waited for a bit then my order was called. The pretzel knots looked great and they were really hot. I started with the hot dog. It was good. The only thing I really tasted was the beer cheese and it was tasty. I love a mustard and took a big dip of the pretzel knot into the Lusty Monk mustard and my mouth exploded. That mustard had a pretty strong kick. Not in a way I disliked but it just surprised me. I kept dipping and nearly had a tear fall from that spicy mustard but it was good. Overall, I enjoyed what I had but nothing wowed me. The food hall would be a great place to return to with a group so everyone could get something they wanted.

If you think you can get something similar at a Mexican restaurant or by buying a grocery store rotisserie chicken with chipotle seasoning, you are so wrong. I've had it pulled off the bone and served with rice and vegetables at other Peruvian restaurants outside of Asheville, but to have it mostly on its own, with sauces, a side of fries, salad, tortillas or rice, really enables you to appreciate the chicken for its amazing self. It's marinated overnight and during the rotisserie process, too, so it's not just the crispy, slightly charred skin that tastes of the spices and chiles, it's also the juicy, tender meat inside. It has a nice smoky flavor as well. Not hot spicy (unless you dip it in the red sauce from here, which is fire!). They also provided a creamy avocado sauce, which is great mixed with the red sauce to lower the heat just a little and give it some contrast. The fries are also great dipped into these sauces. There are 3 outdoor picnic tables by the side of the truck, but this is a place to get wonderful food to go that you can't get anywhere else in Asheville.
