I love this place this business has great donuts. However I have been here multiple times, & each time they seem to be out of what I want to order (chocolate twist, chocolate sprinkle). The times I have asked if there's more in the back I get the same robotic response "sold out." Or I get there early & their response to not having any of the chocolate sprinkle variety is "not today." & it's not only with the chocolate varieties, but even the turkey & cheese, they never seem to have. Here's a grand idea... why not make more in quantity so customers can actually enjoy the donuts, & you guys can make more money off those customers. Come on you guys can do way better. Stop being lazy. This business is so inconsistent. read more

Was looking for a place to get some donuts on my way to Lakewood. This place is in a small strip mall with ample parking when I was there on a Saturday around 4pm. They also have a water dispenser and sell ice cream from Thrifty's. There wasn't a lot of choices to choose from when we were there, but what we got, was still fresh tasting and light. They also have mini cake donuts with sprinkles on them that was actually pretty good. They were $.50 each. We ended up getting a dozen of their regular donuts. If I am down here again, I will definitely come to this place. The person helping us was super nice and patient while we tried to decide what to get. Stopped in totally random just to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and donuts with my wife. The donuts and coffee looked like your typical donut shop food so no pics were taken. We both ordered the same thing a cream cheese croissant and a cinnamon roll with large coffee. Everything was very fresh tasting and the cream filling was the most filled in a croissant we ever had. I liked the fact that even the cinnamon roll was not sweet at all like other places that just drowns it with a sugar glaze. Service was fast despite the long line that came out of nowhere. This review is solely on the giant donut.... My birthday was last week and I wanted something different from regular ole birthday cake. I remember book marking this place after seeing a BIG donut! When my mom asked me what kind of cake I wanted I requested one of these. It did NOT disappoint. It was freaking delicious!!! Even my husband who isn't a huge donut fan really liked it! He thought it would be dried out and not good. It was so soft and fresh. Mmmmmm Even the leftovers the next morning were scrumptious! (I wrapped it in plastic wrap). Great donuts! They have a nice variety and we tried several different kinds, all great! They also have a lot of different drinks you can choose from. The person working behind the counter was super nice and friendly. The prices were very reasonable. The inside could have been a little cleaner. They aren't bad but they aren't the greatest I guess if you're a local then why not since it's a convenience but besides that the donuts are average. Stopped in around lunchtime for donuts. They do have a large selection of cake donuts ( not a lot of powdered or coconut). They did have lemon donuts so that catapulted them to 5 stars for me. A dozen donuts runs around $13. Individual around $1.30. The donuts were fresh and the smell of fresh baked donuts as I entered the shop stimulated my salivary glands. Mr. K's was 5 stars up until recently. The size of the round cake donuts got smaller and they are now super dry. I tried it two weeks in a row and both times were really dry. The old fashions, buttermilk, and bars are still really good. I'd recommend going back to the original size or changing cooking time on the round donuts. They do other pastries as well, seasonal decorated donuts, and even giant donuts, which are popular for parties. Located in a strip mall, the shop is tiny and no frills, but has a homey welcoming vibe. They accept credit cards. On a weekday afternoon, their case still contained a nice selection of flavors. My favorite was their Vanilla Cake with sprinkles, which was buttery and moist, with a creamy icing that was the perfect level of sweet. I normally grab myself a ham & cheese croissant on my way home from my night shift at the hospital so I don't have to make myself anything when I get home. The person on the phone was nice but seemed to not know what I was really asking for so I was transferred to Someone else. They told me it would be $2 and something Cents per letter. You can choose to decorate it but nothing too special. They said I can do diff flavor on top and sprinkles also. When I finally picked up the donuts (you need to Give them some time in advance also you can't order same day) I was a bit disappointed.
