We needed a new lock installed. Eli returned our call within an hour, talked through the options clearly and gave us a quote. This was at roughly 6pm -- he came and did the job at 9:15pm. I am so overwhelming happy with the quality of service and care that Eli has brought to the table. We needed our locks changed and he changed his schedule around to accommodate us sooner. Excellent and fast communicator via text and email. When he arrived at our house, he spent two hours of time explaining in detail what he was doing and teaching us how to maintain the doors and care for them ourselves. He even did some extra work, like drilling the lock hole what didn't match up and showing us how to manipulate our new screen door AND honored the price he quoted. But it doesn't stop there. Mr Locksmith (Eli) is 100% the way to go if you need a locksmith. He was courteous and flexible to my schedule, came on time (actually let me know he could come early if I wanted) and went above and beyond. Not only changed my locks, but helped reconstruct the prior keyholes so that they would fit better with the door for free. Prices were very reasonable -- he's honestly the only guy I looked at since the Yelp reviews were off the charts, but I highly doubt anyone would beat $30 per lock. During the visit, Eli went above and beyond to fix other things to make my locks operate more smoothly, in turn making them last longer. Eli, Mr. Locksmith, is extremely patient and trustworthy. Some reviewers said he had a hard time understanding exactly what was needed, but we have found exactly the opposite to be true. Eli rekeyed our locks when we moved into our house earlier this year. Today he put in an extra deadbolt, and was ready to talk as long as was needed about the security of the house, aesthetics of the handle/bolt, and all the other aspects of the installation. We bought our house on a Wednesday and wanted to get the locks changed as soon as possible. We figured we'd have to wait until after the weekend... but nope! Eli was able to come Friday and in 2 hours he'd changed all of our locks (including those on our sliding doors.) Despite the fact that i was desperate, I decided to decline their service and called a different locksmith company instead. Best. Locksmith. Ever. It'd be ridiculous to say there are only a few worse things than locking yourself out. But, the horror that comes in that first second you realize your apartment door just shut and that you don't have your key is all consuming. And of course the whole experience happens in slow motion -- from the door closing to the instant but slow realization that you are locked out and can't get back in. It's awful. As in the world is melting kind of awful. Okay, maybe that's a bit much. But it's a really, really, really bad and helpless feeling. After a crazy day of work and then trying to track down an out of town landlord, and then subsequently said out of town landlord realizing no one actually has a spare key, I decided to call a locksmith. I combed Yelp, got the number for Mr. Locksmith and called around 6PM. He showed up at 8PM. Literally two hours later. Win, win, win, win, win, win. All this guy does is win. He was on time, reasonably priced, professional (checked multiple IDs, which was a big plus), friendly, and clearly communicated what was happening with the lock picking situation. It was a breeze and stress free. And at the end of it all, he thanked me for calling him and gave me a business card, joking that though he doesn't wish for it to happen again, but if it does to call.
