I first hired Malaga Landscape to build stone steps down a steep section of my yard. Ricardo recommended a great material and tied in the steps to the existing landscaping with new plants and mulch. While he was working, I extended the job to include an additional mulched area under a new trampoline, which he did without issue or extending the timeline. All of the work was great quality, and I was very happy with the price. Since he did such a good job and came in under budget, I called him back a few weeks later to build a ground level deck off of a backyard shed. Again, Ricardo was very easy to work with, and planning out the design felt like a natural dialog. When my wife saw the footprint of the deck in progress, she asked for a couple of changes, and Ricardo was able to accommodate without changing the timeline or the budget. They took out all the old, bad grass and added new sod. I appreciated the detail that they took such as adding fertilizer to the ground before putting the sod so it can grow better. After completing the work, he powered washed our pathway and driveway, which we appreciated. BLUF: If they can't even make it out of communicate about an appointment for a quote TWICE, I have zero faith in their ability to show up for actual paid work. I can't speak for their landscaping ability because getting them to come out for a quote is impossible. I messaged them through Yelp and they responded a few days later. I scheduled the first quote meeting for 4:30 pm on a Wednesday. Wednesday comes, and I message them to confirm the appointment, but no one responds. 4:30 pm comes and goes. No nothing. Later that evening, someone finally responds that their truck broke down. Okay, I get that things comes up, but if I were running a business, I would call all the pending customers first thing to cancel. However, I give them the benefit of the doubt and reschedule for today (Tuesday) at 12. I messaged them at 12:15 today to see if someone was coming. No response. It's now 3:20 pm and I haven't heard a word from them. Absolutely unprofessional and inconsiderate. 0/10 would not recommend. I've attached screenshots for proof. read more

He said yes to basically everything I asked him in person and over text. If you are looking for a legit landscaper, these guys are it. I needed work done on my front yard and patio. They did it exactly how I asked. Any requests I made were always answered with an enthusiastic "yes, we can do it!". They really went above and beyond what I paid them to do. They even offered to seed bare areas in front of my yard. I didn't want them to because that area is the HOA's responsibility but they said if I changed my mind they would come back to do it for free. They worked hard through the rain and freezing cold.
