A bar with food. The food included homemade chicken paprikas soup that was good, a surprising find for a neighborhood bar. I got a reuben that had a good amount of corned beef but I had to cut a lot of fat out of it. read more

My daughter and I went to Mr. Nick's for the first time on Saturday, June 17th, for lunch. It definitely won't be our last. Everything about the visit was great. Service was quick and efficient. Our food was delicious. My daughter had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and fries. I had a half size antipasto salad that was very large. I also had a bowl of loaded potato soup that was excellent. I got another one to take as well as a bowl of chili. The owner stopped by our table and visited. He was very pleasant and told us about the various things they offered on some evenings. I would encourage anyone looking for good fun and good service to give Mr. Nick's a try. read more

Food is very good. Got here at 605. Were forgotten by the waitress. Did not get any service until 630. Waited again and had to flag down to order. Female owner came by and had a sour face. We asked to order. She said no, but I can get your waitress. Waited again. Waitress took our order. Food came quickly and was good never saw the waitress again until we were ready to leave. Never checked on us. Had to flag again for second drink and check. Sad, I really like the food and atmosphere. Live music was nice. Hopefully an anomaly. But not cool. Unattentive bar staff. Took over an hour to get my food. It came out right as we decided to leave. Soup was lukewarm followed by my entree 45 minutes later. The place was crowded but thats no excuse for the trash presented. Awful experience will never return. read more

Rob the owner greeted us and was super friendly. They had Corona Premier which is a plus! Rob came to our table and made small talk and even said that we could just call him to open up early to drink. Great local bar and highly recommend. Great staff and on point. read more

Sunday Brunch and it was outstanding! Service was great and fast . Very friendly and my daughter and I love the Bloody Mary we got to make and choices of things to put in them. Great omelets and prime rib. Everything in the buffet was warm and very tasty . I did try a little bit of almost everything. I would recommend anyone to go there. read more

The Sunday brunch is awesome and we had been going there twice a month. the chef who does the omelets and prime rib station is incredibly nice and accommodating. Breakfast buffet selection is awesome. BUT........other staff not so attentive. When I needed a venue for a small party (40ish), I inquired about their banquet facility.The woman I was referred to, told me the date was penciled in, but that they had not placed a deposit, and that she would contact them for a definite answer and get back to me. A week goes by, I hear nothing, and I call again. Once again, she told me she'd get back to me. Another week goes by, and we went in for Sunday brunch, so I asked her face to face, and she gave me another story that this prospective "client" had been very busy and she didn't have an answer for me. She PROMISED to call me the next day. that day and seven more came & went. I finally called again, another week later, only to be told she had just left, so I again left a message. Sooooo, after a month of being strung along, she called me back and said the person had finally dropped off a deposit. So unprofessional & very disappointing to 1. string a client along who had the cash deposit in hand. 2. pencil in a date w/o deposit 3. Not return calls in timely manner. Sorry, Mr. Nick's, your "special events coordinator" turned us off to your restaurant. read more

Was excited to try this restaurant again as we heard there were new owners. Such a disappointment. Terrible, unfriendly, extremely slow service. Over 50 crowd. Fish is not fresh. Same old menu. Overserved drunks at the bar with foul language. They should invest in a professional manager. Such a great location with so much potential I really hope they try to improve. read more

Dropped in Saturday January 4th (?) for a couple of drinks before starting our evening. New interior, looks good certainly a good add to the neighborhood. The place was busy, not crowded. Service was quick and drinks priced right. Bartender was a little cold did not seem very friendly. Bar was unkept with bottles scattered about. Bar countertop was a mess. Bartender did even wipe up the melting ice cubes were I sat down. This might just be start up issues as this place is newly opened. I certainly plan going back. read more

Mr. Nick's is the perfect neighborhood hot spot for those looking for good eats and a local vibe. The food is genuinely excellent - you have to try their wings! Servers and bartenders are always kind and helpful, and they work very hard since there are so few of them on the floor at a time. I have never been affiliated with the restaurant but it is the place I always visit when I go back to my parents' home in Trenton. All the old-time regulars show up around happy hour and it's a merry group. Really good food and something for everyone. Probably the worst service in the whole area. Waitresses and bartenders alike seem to have attitude, if you can even get their attention long enough to be served. Also the constant karaoke is insane. Give it a break, nobody wants to hear drunk fools sing decent songs every night. On top of that beer on draft always seems to have a bitter taste, possibly from never cleaning the taps. Friendly customers, karaoke has some very good singers and an Elvis character guaranteed to give u a chuckle. The host is a very good entertaining who's salsa dancing is his true talent. Good corner bar with very friendly people. If there is one thing that could improve the karaoke songs should be more current there however, overall i do recommend Mr Nicks for good karaoke. read more
