Made a reservation for five people at 6pm last night (Saturday) and were seated right away. Our waiter was prompt with water/tea and quickly took our order since the place was filling up fast. We had no problems with food taking too long. We ordered- beef scallion pancake*, pork dumplings, chili wontons, eggplant with green beans*, fish with pickled mustard greens, beef in sa cha sauce*, and grandma's pork belly. Everything was so delicious! Total with tip was $145 for a ton of food. This restaurant JUST opened and is still working on hiring more staff. If you've never worked in opening a new restaurant- it's CRAZY; it takes time to get things to run like clockwork. IMHO the harsh negative reviews aren't warranted at this point when they're still in "soft opening" phase. Our party received such wonderful and attentive service and great food; let's give this lovely place a few months to get the kinks worked out before slamming them. Not impressed. The pork soup dumplings were really good. Wonton soup was very very salty (which is to be expected, but even this was a bit too much). I was really disappointed when my sesame chicken came out really cold! It was to the point where I wanted to send it back, but our waitress was kind of all over the place and we couldn't catch her attention. There were not more than 5 other groups dining at the same time. They don't have their liquor license yet, which I read before and expected. Excellent service. The hostess was very welcoming and the server was both kind and attentive. Nice ambience as well inside with the music and decor. This restaurant is a must go; the first Chinese restaurant in the syracuse area I have been to that has offered genuine dim sum options, alongside very traditionally tasting food. I order delivery from here to my partner. We are long distance and her comfort food is hot & sour soup. She mentioned that it's the best hot & sour soup local to her in Syracuse. We were quickly seated, and the wait staff wass attentive and helpful. The menus were hard to read, but with the waitresses help we managed our order. Vegetable ramen, shrimp pad thai, grilled green beans were all very good--but the star was the dumplings. Will def come back again. read more

My husband and I ate dinner at this place last night. We ordered the soup dumplings, beef/scallion pancake, beef with sha-cha sauce, and diced chicken with chilis. We arrived at 5:09pm and were instantly seated and ordered our appetizers. The soup dumplings and pancakes were delicious, however, the service took forever. By the time it was 6:09pm we still hadn't received our meals. A waitress came by but brought us the wrong food. We continued to wait until my food arrived, but not my husbands. By the time I was done eating, we were still waiting for my husband's meal. Another waitress brought him the wrong order again. Eventually the table behind us AND my husband complained to a waitress. Many minutes passed until my husband got his meal along with our check, he ate a few bites until he wanted to pack it up and leave. We finally left at like 7:45pm-8:00pm. Hands down the best Chinese food I've had in Syracuse and I've lived here for 23 years. We went on a Friday night and the service was surprisingly very fast and helpful. My girlfriend and I ordered Pork Soup Dumplings, Jumbo Shrimp w/ Walnut and Mayo, Sichuan Fish w/ Pickled Mustard Greens, and a Red Bean Paste Cake. Everything was absolutely incredible and had tons of flavor and depth. Overall wait took about 10min, but was very peaceful with the super calming ambient music and beautiful decor. It was a little pricey, but I can't really complain because we still ended up coming home with two large containers of leftovers. I am definitely coming back to try more! read more

Where to begin... ordered the Pineapple seafood rice; the shrimp and calamari were incredibly overcooked and the only flavor in the whole dish was the soy sauce they drenched it in. The broccoli beef also had no flavor and the beef was sooo tough. The beef scallion pancake was greasy. The Shanghai wonton appetizer was supposed to be spicy but was soo bland and the wontons seemed slimy. The bathroom was dirty (and we were there early in the afternoon). I wouldn't even touch the exterior door which looked greasy and was covered in old graffiti from the previous restaurant...would it have killed then to get a fresh coat of paint??? read more

We decided to try this new place because of its buzz; typically, we go to Red Chili across the street. We arrived, about a 20-minute wait which was okay (it was EXTREMELY busy). We were seated, and the waitress (whom was so nice and apologetic the entire time) came 10 minutes later. We put in our entire order (drinks; soup dumplings; sautéed string beans with eggplant; orange chicken) because we wanted to at least try and be smart about it. Drinks came, then 10 minutes later our dumplings came, although never received my chopsticks so I felt so saddened to eat them with a fork. They were DELICIOUS for sure. All the while, we had heard chatter about people canceling some of their appetizers because they weren't coming in time. Almost an hour later, my dinner came. It had a good taste but seemed a little greasy. Also, it was hot on the top but less so in the bottom. I don't know if it was put on a cold plate or it was sitting under a heat lamp since it took so long to come to the table. Then, 30 minutes later my companion's dinner came. The chicken was overcooked and in a gloopy orange sauce; it was not pleasant. In addition, before my dinner came I asked for water and the waitress then soon apologized as it would be a while because they ran out of cups. Our first time at Mr. NOODLE and Ms Dumbling since the closing of the Storming Crab. I think the hype was bigger than the food. The appetizer we chose was KFC Buns and honestly they were my favorite. I was pleased with oversized sodas and that the food was flavorably salty. Not too much but not too little. I wish I took a picture of my Kimchi Raemen. The scallions were the freshest ingredient. Egg was boiled and slightly green. I didn't even eat it. I thought it should have been freshly prepared. Pork was cubed rather than shredded. Corn appeared to come from a can. There were lots of noodles but little kimchi. Flavor was over-all good but not great and not excellent. The complimentary Sesame Balks were a nice touch but even so the menus were sticky and service was rushed. I don't think I'll return to eat-in but maybe come back for takeout Chinesse. read more

We had a reservation at 6pm. Poor selection of options for vegetarians. Could not make modifications like add tofu to pad thai, despite it saying on the menu add protein of your choice. My partner received his food while I waited on mine. I ordered the eggplant with green beans and left without trying it. This food was pretty good. It serves real Chinese food in addition to typical Americanized Chinese food. Their Mapo Tofu is almost as good as mine - just remember you might need to ask them to reduce the spiciness a bit - my lips were actually numb (not exaggerating) while eating it from the hot & numbing spice. Also, they don't serve enough white rice as sides to their dishes, and you have to get their attention to ask for more. But everything was really very good anyway - so I'll definitely be back.
