This updated review is SOLEY based on the rudeness of the owner who runs the front desk. My 18yr old daughter went in to pick up our food & she had a new debit card she was using. She was having a hard time working the credit card reader. The owner rolled his eyes & snatched the card from her while telling her "it's not that hard." When she came out with our food she was a little tearful and told me what happened. I decided to go in & confront the owner. I told him I did not appreciate him being rude to my daughter. He waved his hand at me, cutting me off & said "then don't come back." This is not the first time I've had to deal with his rude behavior. The lady looked him up & down multiple times before he got a chance to say anything and told him "it's going to be an hour and a half wait" while continuing to look him up and down. There was only two other people in the establishment. He explained to her he was wanting a to-go order and she again rudely stated "it's going to be an hour and a half" while continuing to look at him up and down. The flavors were not good. There's no other way to put it or explain it. The pho broth itself smelled off. The seafood was overcooked. The fried rice tasted okay but it was mushy. I missed out on the other reviews, The first time we went the lady cashier wasn't friendly at all, handed us our take out order without looking at us and no thank you. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt maybe she was having a bad day SO we went for a second time and another man handed us our order, no eye contact again gave us our food and no thank you. The food is actually pretty good...the review is solely based on the service. The server who's been there since this place opened is bringing the bad reviews. He's actually not rude even though he does seem to come off that way. He simply does his job without making you feel like he deserves a tip. He works like he hates everything around him. We walked in and he says nothing while wiping tables. Someone from the kitchen had to yell and say there has been customers waiting. Place wasn't even busy. Girl up front was busy taking phone orders but she seemed to always seat people because of that guy ignoring everyone. Guarantee he won't ask you if you need anything or how's the food. I left this kind of review years ago so i never went back. Finally gave it another shot since others were closed. The other complaint is the prices have gone up like crazy. Overall it was pretty good I wish I would've took a picture however it was in to go containers as my coworker and I got this for lunch. When I called and asked about some of the options before I can even say OK thank you and try to place the order the gentleman hang up on me I had to call back and place the order LOL kind of weird maybe they were super busy. The actual soup of the pho wasn't that flavorful however they did have a lot of protein in the offering. I did ask for no basil in either of the bags due to an allergen of my coworker and it was in both so she had to do without the jalapeños bean sprouts and limes as well as the cilantro which is kind of a bummer because all of that accoutrement is what makes it super enjoyable... pho #1 was is way better as far as flavor but the fact of the last mishap and lack of protein has made me realize I just need to take the extra time to travel to Marina to noodle bar. read more

So far this place is my 2nd favorite place to eat Vietnamese food and pho. The food here is so tasty and flavorful every food I get here is always good. I mostly get the lemongrass chicken vermicelli. There so good you can actually taste the flavor of the lemongrass and the spice they put into it. Not like other places I'd taste was all blend. I usually love this place, and I understand that it's an interesting time however, the owner (male that is always in the front) is not very helpful during this time. I ordered the egg noodle soup and pork spring rolls (food is bomb), but I was disappointed with the customer service, when I asked if I could have Siracha, chili oil, and Soy sauce, he gestured ad said everything was in there. Today I was over Salinas way to putter around in the storage unit and I remembered the lemongrass chicken not far from there at Mr. Noodles. Mr. Noodles survived the pandemic! Super yummy generous portions that last me two or three meals. Dull ambiance but totally sweet people who don't blink at ridiculous special requests like no fish sauce or vinegar or anything fermented. So sweet and accomodating. Great prices, quick service, easy transaction. Came here to pick up lunch one day for work and so I called in early to order takeout. It was a pretty quick, easy phone call. An hour later, I drive in to pick up my order. it was ready to go, nicely packaged with utensils. They do take credit cards which is very nice unlike some other Asian places. A good find! Hubby picked me up after work to go to lunch and mentioned a new noodle place within a few blocks from our apartment. Having been to quite a few noodle bars I kinda thought "meh" but the thought of trying something new outweighed that thought. I have to be completely honest....the place that once occupied the storefront was a coldstone creamery...sooo I thought this place better kick butt to replace one of my fav ice cream joints!!! We entered and it was small and cozy much like the other noodle houses I've eaten at most not large inside. It was very busy a full house we just waited patiently for a table. The staff to be quite honest was but overly friendly dare I say not very friendly at all. Once seated my husband did his usual. .. asking everyone around us what they had and if it was good. . Geesh. ..lol we were told by one nice lady that the spring rolls were really good. .. did it help she was good looking? My husband thought so.. therefore we started with the shrimp spring rolls. .lol anyway...I decided on the shrimp udon with vegetables and hubby ordered the beef pho soup. One of the things I noticed about noodle houses in our area is that they take forever! This one was no exception. The spring rolls though, arrived in ample time and they were tightly rolled split into four pieces and each piece had two little shrimp carefully placed. Pretty good the peanut sauce was a little different not the usual texture and color I'm used to but good. After a little more than 20 minutes our soups arrived. They both looked good. Took a taste of hubbys soup and it was very typical of all the pho soups I have had in the past no real special flavor that made it stand out to me. Now my soup? My soup was really good! Full of flavor with bok choy,cabbage, scallions and plump flavorful shrimp! The noodles reminded me of ramen noodles I thought the udon for some reason was the thick noodles but this was a welcome surprise! I savored each flavorful spoonful. On the window they were offering free sodas this week in celebration of the grand opening so we took advantage of that offer! As we were leaving we both decided on two boba smoothies. I had the honey dew minus boba and hubby had peach/w boba. Both drinks were good we enjoyed those on the go. All in all a fairly good experience, we will return! read more

If I could put a zero I'd do it... My fiancé's mom went to get pho ..long story short she bought a soda with her meal and when she asked for a to go cup the owner refused to give her a to-go cup . He ended up telling her " if I have to give you a cup I have to give everyone a cup and I would go broke ." Now , to me it seems like my man is being a little cheap . As far as running a business I'd think investing 10cents into giving someone a styrofoam cup would be worth it to get a returning customer but I guess not...not only did he lose a customer who had been to the restaurant 4 times in the last 2 weeks but now he loses potential profit in serving a additional customers by being a penny pincher . I'd understand if they hadn't bought anything but they bought the drink from you plus 2 soups ....think my man...customer retention. read more

I was craving soup today and thought we'd give Mr. Noodles another try it. Really disappointed, We were the only ones in there at 3, Mr grumpy said sit anywhere so we walk to a table and oh I haven't wiped it yet, ok. I got the chicken noodle soup with no noodles. It had lots of meat and vegetables but the broth was pretty weak. Hubby had 4 pork egg rolls, just ok. Mr grumpy never checked on us or refilled our drinks. Their customer service is really lacking. Got tired of waiting and had to as for a togo container. Cost us 17 bucks for 2 items an ice tea and a water. Don't think we'll be back. read more

Just had a #11 (small top round beef pho) from Mr. Noodle. It was pretty much on par with some of the best pho I've had. I can often tell if they use MSG or not depending on how crappy I feel afterwards. So far so good. The service was prompt and the establishment was clean and organized.
