A cozy shop with a self-serve fountain drink machine with Pepsi products. They also had a refrigerator with bottled drinks. One unisex restroom only. The customer service was friendly and helpful. The menu had a good variety of options. I ordered the Reuben: Oven Toasted Pastrami, Swiss, Sauerkraut, Thousand Island on Toasted Marble Rye (4/5). The reuben is always a messy sandwich but they did a good job of building the sandwich. The meat portion was pretty good. Complimentary fresh baked chocolate chip cookie came with the sandwich. This has been my favorite sandwich shop for several years. Unfortunately it has changed so much I don't even know what happened. They used to shout out a welcome as you walk in. Mr. Pickles in Placerville has never disappointed me, however, I went to the Folsom Store on Blue Ravine and did my usual order, the Hang Loose sandwich. Talk about day old bread "Yikes" the whole circumference of the Dutch Crunch roll was hard as a rock. My kid & I went in on Wednesday afternoon (around 5pm). There was only 1 person on the counter to take order & make it. The shop was clean. The kind cashier gave us extra cookie for my kid. Tuna sandwich on dutch bread: good ordinary sandwich. The dutch bread was soft. The tuna portion was good. I was disappointed on the sauces as it was just mayo & mustard like any regular sandwich that I usually make at home (I requested no jalapeno for my kid). If I could give zero stars, I would. The so-called "manager" Zolo was hands down one of the rudest, most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. My mother went in to have our order remade after it was done wrong last time. She clearly told him multiple times that it was a remake and should be free. She even asked if he needed her name, and he said no. They talked about how the last order was messed up, and then he still charged her full price. When she pointed it out, he completely ignored her. When she got home, I called the store to find out why she was charged. The second I asked for the manager, Zolo paused, said the manager wasn't there, then suddenly claimed he was the manager. Funny, because earlier when I called, someone named Simon said he was the manager. So either Zolo doesn't know who's in charge, or he just enjoys lying to customers. The entire phone call was a disaster. He was rude, dismissive, and constantly talked over me every time I tried to explain what happened. When I finally asked if I could finish my sentence, he started yelling that I was being rude and that he had to hang up because he needed to start closing duties. It was 5:26 PM. They don't even close for another two and a half hours. At that point, I hung up because it was clear there was no reasoning with him. I'll be reaching out to corporate or the franchise owner next, whichever one gets back to me first. If this is the type of "manager" representing the company, then something is seriously wrong with their training and hiring process. The first thing a manager should learn is basic respect for customers, not how to lie, argue, and talk over them. read more

I have had many mr pickles throughout my life but I have never had a me pickles as bad at this place. First of all it took the lady 3 times to figure out that I wanted a turkey n cheddar sandwich with no onions pickles or peppercinis. And she still got it wrong, plus on top of that the sandwich was so messy. I couldn't even hold it without having sauce go down my arms. I love mr pickles but I will never come back here unless I am desperate. And on top of everything the chip selection sucks and they don't give you napkins or a cookie. I'll go to my regular mr pickles. Update: went back to this mr pickles.
