Supposedly a bacon, lettuce and TOMATO sandwich

We used to come here a while ago. Went today. Mistake. Not coming back- Today my sweetheart and I had some errands to do in town, and I suggested that I wanted a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich. "Sounds good," I heard so across the parking lot was WCSD. In we go. Ordered two 6" BLT, no chips, cookies, or drinks, had water. Over $25.00. After waiting a fair amount of time, the order was ready (there was nobody in the place except three employees.) I brought the pie tins that they serve on to our table. They looked a little flat....odd. After I was seated, I lifted the top off of the sandwich, and where is the tomato? The sandwich was cut in half, so I looked at the other side, it looked the same. Upon further inspection there was ONE 2" diameter slice of tomato on each half of sandwich, approximately 1/8" thick. No kidding. The bacon was some very flat pre made stuff that was resembling aluminum foil in thickness. The lettuce was shreadded into long stripe and was wilty. I went back into the empty store and showed the sandwich maker my open sandwich and asked where the tomato was. She graciously stuck her lingers and thumb into my open sandwich, lifted the bacon and lettuce and proudly said "There it is!" (She did have gloves on. God only knows what she had handled with them on) A supervisor came up and asked what the problem was. I explained that there were no tomatoes on my sandwich. He explained that was how they make them. He offered additional tomato slices, I did not take them. The point is-That was the standard that they serve. It was just ridiculous. Not coming back.

Quick search for dinner and I ended up here. Walked in and it was empty... Greeted and ordered a pastrami sandwich and asked for a cup of soup and a drink. The girl made the suggestion to get the combo as it's a little cheaper. Good looking out! The sandwich came out and she brought it to the table with a cup of clam chowder. The sandwich was good and the chowder was creamy with lots of clams and potatoes. Perfectly toasted bread with enough filling ti make a good sandwich! Overall will def be back for another sandwich! Very clean location and good service with good food, what more could you ask for?

    Sourdough gorgeousness. Smells great too.

The customer service is terrific and sandwiches are delicious . What sets this sandwich shop apart from the rest is the bread. It is the real deal sourdough bread. Ohh it has a great chew, slight tangy taste, crisp top crust, and delightful fermented smell. So much deliciousness. They even sell individual loaves. My go to choices are the hot sandwiches. They have ruben, hot pastrami, French dip, and garlic pesto. I have had them all. To hard to choose a favorite, all so good. They also have cold sandwiches, soups, salads, cookies and chips. The clam chowder is tasty. So tasty that my LI self is willing to take a lactaid pill to enjoy the clam chowder. The Greek salad is my favorite salad there. Mmm... loaded with fresh ingredients and served with a delicious dressing. The sandwiches come in three sizes. The 4 inch is around $6.29. Not a bad price for what you get. The sandwiches come with free spreads, fixings, and a slice of cheese. They have indoor dining which is kept very clean. The decor is modern. Ambiance is pleasant. And just to echo again, the staff has always provided top notch service.

I tried their new Buffalo Chicken Sourdough Flatbread and let me tell you it did not disappoint! Ingredients were fresh, and the flatbread tasted freshly baked. It was amazing!

I was bored of the usual places and wanted to try something different, so stopped by here for a takeout. I tried the tuna salad sandwich which I recommend

    2/14/2023: Pastrami combo!
    Shirley M. F.

2/14/2023: I ordered the following--Pastrami on Rye, tossed salad with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and a cold drink. The entire sandwich combo meal was absolutely filling, i.e., wonderful; the Rye bread was moist while the Pastrami was tender. Seriously, I couldn't inhale the other half of the Pastrami on Rye sandwich and the salad, too . . . Therefore, I'll inhale both tomorrow for my second lunch! BTW: For some reason, I truly thought this was a Poke restaurant I visited in 2020; however, I really don't know anymore~lol since, I moved to Placerville, i.e., I rarely visit this area of Folsom. Nevertheless, I'll return to WCS when I visit Folsom in the future.

    Tiny portion $11 sandwich
    Q A.

I finally decided to give this lil' bro of the other restaurant SD & Co as they literally have the same menu. I ordered online and picked up from the store. I went and sat at Raleys cafe and opened my Turkey sandwich and I was shocked on how small it was compared to the same exact menu item. Basically, I am paying $11 for a tiny portion sandwich. Absolute rip-off. So I went to their website and submitted my opinion/comment. I gave them all my contact information so they can call the unsatisfied customer. That never happened. This business is an absolute joke. I even gave them a chance to make it right, but they didn't and hence this review. This place is an overpriced half portion sandwich that doesn't care about their customers.

    Southwest Chicken Salad
    Loreto D.

I'd have to give this a solid 4-stars. The Good: - The sourdough clam chowder was delicious! The bread was warm and toasty. The OK: - The southwest chicken salad was decent. I'd probably come back just for the chowder.

    French Dip 6" $9.99
    Dianna N.

French Dip 6" $9.99: So my favorite French Dip type sandwich is Quiznos because I love their peppercorn sauce, however if I could take that sauce plus West Coast's sandwich I think I'd have perfection. The bread was perfectly crispy and the au jus was very flavorful. Luckily my soup came with more bread for me to dip in the au jus before I drank the remainder. Cream of Potato cup $6.25: Soup is a bit pricy for the portion, and I didn't find the taste worth it. I found the 6" sandwich filling enough so I'd probably skip on soup next time. It is a better deal if you do the soup + fountain drink meal add on for the sandwich, but they serve Pepsi products here which is a no for me. ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.

In the old Sourdough & Company building next to the Gelateria in the Bel Air shopping center. The menu looks very similar to Sourdough and Company and the setup is exactly the same so most people have no idea they just ate from a different sandwich shop. :) I navigated through the confusing series of ropes, cones and signs on the ground to place my order at the register. BBQ Brisket - 8 - Comes with coleslaw. BBQ sauce was a little sweet and there wasn't as much meat as I was hoping, but the flavors were balanced. Garlic Pesto Turkey - Kids destroyed it so it must have been good??? Cracked Pepper Turkey - 9 - Loved the pepper coming through but I added some pesto at home. The bread is phenomenal here, the ingredients are fantastic, and the service is great. I would like to have more toppings on the sandwich as this feels a bit like Quiznos with very little produce. I would come again to see if they're more generous.

Everything from the decorations to the menu is exactly the same as the Dublin location which is one of our favorites and that immediately put us at ease to know that we were in good hands! For anyone that is unfamiliar with Burmese food, it is essentially a fusion of Indian, Thai, and Chinese cuisines and features the best aspects of all three. We ordered over ten dishes and all kept somehow getting better and better! The flavors were out of this world and the spices were perfect! Dishes that I especially recommend: -Eggplant Garlic Shrimp -Basil Chilli Swai -Coconut Rice -Tea Leaf Salad -Pad Thai with Chicken -Sesame Beef -Palata with Chicken Curry -Coconut Noodle Soup The food was impeccable and the staff were super friendly. I had Burmese food once years ago and I wasn't too fond of it but thought I'd give it another chance and I'm so glad I did! This ambience of this spot was super moody with dimmed lighting and plenty of seating including booths. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. Our waiter was extremely kind and accommodating to our many questions and inquiries. He checked up on us several times during our dinner and made sure we were happy with everything. Now onto the food!!!! We ordered the Burmese pad Thai with chicken, the coconut rice, and basil and dried chili beef, all medium spicy. The noodles in the pad Thai were cooked perfectly with a tangy sauce and the added peanuts gave a nice textural crunch. The sweetness of the coconut rice paired PERFECTLY with the spicy beef. The beef itself was so delicious, unlike anything I've ever had before! Made with chillies, basil, and tamarind powder, it was packed with flavor and spice while being extremely juicy. I can't wait to be back here and try other items on the menu!!

Portions were generous and pricing was decent. The Pad Thai looked great visually, but the noodles were overcooked and broken into smaller pieces, and it was missing peanuts. The flavor was very bland--I kept adding fish sauce to try to bring it to life. The sour seafood soup was good but also needed fish sauce. The Thai fried rice was begging for soy sauce or fish sauce as well. Something just felt off tonight. The Laos-style papaya salad wasn't pungent or spicy at all. I ordered medium spicy, but it came out mild. I had to add quite a bit of fish sauce and chilies to suit my taste. Overall, the service was good, but the food lacked flavor for me.

We ordered the boat noodle, which was super flavorful and really unique. We've never had anything like it before, so it definitely stood out. But the star of the show for me was their Pad Thai. I genuinely think it's the best Pad Thai I've had in Sacramento. I've been searching for a good one that isn't overly sweet, and this place absolutely nailed it. This is officially my go-to spot for Pad Thai from now on. The service during our first visit was good, and the ambience is really nice ,cozy, warm, and inviting. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because of our second visit. We arrived about an hour before their posted closing time, but as soon as we pulled up, the staff inside hurriedly switched the sign to "closed." It caught us off guard because it was still early, and we were really looking forward to eating there again. Not sure what happened that night, and maybe there was a reason, but it did feel a little disappointing. Still, based on the food and our first experience, we're hoping to return and try again, especially for that Pad Thai!

I have eaten here about 5 times so far. Things I observed. Pros - The food is good. Mostly Thai inspired but there is sometimes a variety. Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.

Then the next time we got the coffees that we like the most from the flight which we're both really good. That being said, the flights were pretty expensive, but they were really fun. The coffees were really good, but they were served into gold cups, which I'm not sure if that's what they always use but it's nice when you go to a coffee shop to actually get a cup so you can enjoy the coffee without having to throw something away We got avocado toast, which was really nice that they had gluten-free. Both of the avocado toast were tasty. They weren't anything special but they were good enough. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was spending almost $50 for two coffees and avocado toast. I don't think we'll be back cause it's just too pricey, but maybe for just a coffee once in a while.
