Great to see one not that far from Palladio and just off the freeway into the foothills. Lots of parking around the area and just off Bidwell. Service: Staff was friendly and attentive. Walt from Walt's Adventures still in the Folsom area but now at the Mendocino Farms eatery. This location for this restaurant chain has both indoor and outdoor dining. The main dishes include sandwiches and soups and salads. I was complexed when I found that the menus failed to serve sodas. Instead, they were replaced by the Farms selection of beverages... served in their small plastic cups. Even the "Golden Arches" have paper cups for the environment. I find it ideal for lunchtime desires. However, dinner is another story. I admit that I have never felt so... unwanted in a restaurant. We arrived well over 1hour before closing. The workers mopped the floors, fixed the shades and, as such, made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted. The food was ok where the presentation and the taste was concerned. It is my hope that this Mendocino Farms and their routines are an abnormality. If arriving at one you see small non-environmentally friendly cups, I would recommend traveling elsewhere. read more

I asked her about the most popular items, and she shared a few before telling me her favorite was the Turkey Avo Salsa Verde sandwich. Stopped in here recently after a long day of adventure for some sandwiches. We weren't really sure what to expect because we'd never been to a Mendocino Farms location in person. The staff was SO friendly. They offered generously sized samples while trying to decide what drinks to order, and the staff was prompt at making sure tables were clean as people left. The food was all fresh and delicious. We particularly loved the flavor profile of the chimichurri steak and bacon sandwich. (Not pictured) We also ordered a kids menu which came with seemingly fresh battered chicken tenders and apple slices. This location opened up less than a year ago. If you've been to other Mendocino Farms locations, it's everything you would except. I always appreciate consistency within chain restaurants. Orders are always a bit of a wait, so I would recommend ordering ahead using their app for pick up. It's convenient and easy to use. Service has been great at this location. The times I've dined in, it's nice they served the food directly to my table. My favorite salad is the Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada. I really like the crunch and texture their housemade krunchies do for the salad, and the Chipotle Vinaigrette Dressing is yum too with a little kick. They ask you if you want the dressing tossed for you, which I always take advantage of for no mess and to dig in right away. I've also tried The Impossible Taco Salad, The Modern Caesar Salad, and the Thai Mango Salad. I still like the Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada the best. I wish we didn't have to pay $4 extra to add chicken in it though. For sandwiches, the Chicken Pesto Caprese is my favorite. Another sandwich that's pretty good but I haven't had in a long time is A Sandwich Study of Heat, but I don't see it on the menu right now. Did they get rid of it?! Sad if it's gone, but it was a lot of calories anyway. I also tried the Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich, but I didn't like that one too much. The mustard sauce was not it for me. I haven't tried their cookies or soups but have been told they're pretty good. We were greeted by the cashier named Francisco who went above and beyond in explaining the menu and giving recommendations. His customer service was amazing. I wanted to commend him for his customer service and the time he took to assist us and I asked for the manager. Devoni came out to greet us and we let him know how amazing the service was and he was so kind and sweet. It's so easy to see where his staff acquire these amazing skills. Nonetheless, our food came out quickly and we were in and out in about 30 min. My hubby ordered the banh mi sandwich and I had the fried chicken sandwich. Although both sandwiches were packed full of fresh ingredients and flavor, the banh mi was a bit overwhelming. Couldn't put my finger on which ingredient it was, but I would pass next time. There is indoor and outdoor seating but we sat inside because it's chilly out. I ordered the Happy Hippie and hubby got the Farm house club. Both were very fresh and flavorful. The happy hippie has so many flavors in it that blend nicely and the bread is toasted. We also ordered the side of curry couscous which was very good too!
