I requested no vegetables.

This is not my normal Mr. Pickles and that was my first mistake. I ordered my sandwiches directly from the restaurant, not a third-party app. The total was $70 and only one sandwich out of four was acceptable. Some of the problems: Reuben: * Pastrami was extremely dry. * The sauerkraut portion was barely there (about a teaspoon at most). * We specifically requested no pickles, onions, lettuce, or tomatoes, but those were included anyway. Second sandwich: * I requested lettuce, but got maybe three thin strips of shredded lettuce. At this point, I'm thinking this must be a joke. Third sandwich: * Contained 2 pepperoncini stems. * Roughly a quarter portion of turkey on one 1/2 of the sandwich * Messy and clearly not assembled with care. My 80-year-old mother said this was the worst sandwich she's ever had in her entire life! It's pretty hard to not please a blind woman who can't even see what she was attempting to eat. Obviously no care, no attention to detail, and no pride in their staff's work was taken. The restaurant was closed when we got our order so I messaged them on yelp, with pictures. Silence is what I received. Since the store doesn't care to rectify my problem, let me save you a lot of trouble, and money. Look elsewhere!

Hailey Salad everything on it minus the raw red onions. Swiss cheese changed to provolone.

We love this Mr. Pickles! Not all locations are created equal, and after stopping by the Carmichael location on Fair Oaks Blvd, we quickly realized their menu wasn't for us. So, we made our way to the Sunrise and Madison location instead--definitely the right choice! While there are other great Mr. Pickles locations, the Carmichael one just didn't cut it for us. First off, the Sunrise and Madison location has merch--a huge win! They offer a great variety of sizes, which is something we often struggle with when trying to buy gear from our favorite restaurants. As longtime Mr. Pickles fans, it was nice to refresh our collection. Now, onto the food! One of the best things about this location is that they allow you to turn any sub into a salad. This is a big perk for our family since we have gluten-free folks, and I personally love a good salad. That said, when I do go for bread, Dutch Crunch is the top choice in our household. It always has the perfect balance of a soft, fluffy interior and a crisp, flaky, crunchy crust. This time, I skipped the sub and went for my usual--a salad. I also often order the DC Cougar, but today, it was all about the Hailey. This one comes with bacon, turkey, and Swiss cheese, though I swapped the Swiss for provolone. You can always customize the cheese, which is a nice touch. I got all the produce except onions, and everything was chopped to just the right size--small, but not too small. For dressings, they have a few options, but I stuck with mustard, mayo, and a little bit of their garlic sauce. We also ordered the FDNY, which comes with turkey, ham, salami, and American cheese--though we swapped the cheese for provolone. It was topped with everything except red onions. As always, the bread was fantastic. Beyond the food, the customer service here is excellent. The staff is mostly young guys, likely in their early 20s, and they are always kind, helpful, and incredibly fast at making sandwiches. Just genuinely sweet people who make the experience even better. Even though this location is a bit out of the way for us, we'll keep coming back because we just love it here!

The crew with extra garlic sauce

Always drive by here but never really felt the need to stop in so I finally decide to give it a shot and it was well worth it. I did "The Crew" sandwich no Mayo, no mustard. Went with extra garlic sauce and it was everything! I highly recommend extra if you're a garlic lover. The Dutch crunch was crunchy but also interior of the bread soft. They also have cherry Pepsi at the soda fountain which is a treat I feel.

Came in for a quick lunch. Due to state mandate, there is no indoor dining. This place didn't have an outdoor dining either but that's ok. The staff member greeted me friendly when I came in, wore gloves and a face mask. I ordered a Big Rob Salad style(no bread, Mayo, or mustard with lettuce, onions, tomato, pepperonici, wjth turkey and cranberry sauce, and a drizzle of garlic sauce. No other dressing needed. Decor: ***** (simple) Service: ***** (friendly) Big Rob: ***** 15 out of 15 stars, earning a percent or 5 stars from me. This is a nice location to stop by for a quick bite.

Not impressed. Very little meat, zero cheese. Bread is hard. Won't be back.

13.00 later, I get this terrible sandwich. Really disappointed. Used to love this place. Will not be back.

Turkey BLT

First time trying Mr.pickles service was very good. They were unfortunately out of a lot of things. Overall the sandwich was good especially the garlic sauce.

Have you guys lost your mind? Where is the chicken?

Have you guys lost your mind? Where is the chicken? This is a $30 door dash sandwich delivery. Help me out here? Used to love this place. Good luck.

Good sandwich just smaller.

I generally really like Mr. Pickles and I get business is tough right now. I write this review only because since covid hit, prices have gone up and what you get has gone down. I bought a Nonni yesterday and it was $9.79 out the door, sandwich only. The bread was finished in their oven and the pastrami was microwaved. This was the lightest Mr. Pickles sandwich I have ever had. Most of the meat was stacked in the middle so the cross section looks decent but was more like a small sandwich. The 9" Hot Pastrami from Togo's is a better deal and includes more meat from tip to tip. The service is great and this location is easy to get in and out of. Just disappointing that inflation is in full effect here. My advice would be stack the sandwich and charge a dollar or .50 more.

I always get the #13.... It has chicken breast, cheese and avocado on crunch bread. The Resturant is clean most of the time except when the lunch crowd leaves a mess. The counter people have always been very courteous and polite. Parking is good most of the time and the menus of sandwiches are cold or hot. I eat here a least 4 times a month and have never had a bad sandwich. I love Mr. Pickles it is my favorite.

Tables were very clean

They didn't have much options like other Mr.Pickles BUT very clean inside. The young kid who works here ALWAYS have great speed and friendly customer service. I love that they sale merchandise here (shirts). The Manger is also always so nice too.

Hair net, please.

Talk about the saddest veggie sandwich I've ever seen 95% bread. Literally one slice of tomato. Definitely disappointed.

Has that feeling.. ya know?!? Service was fast and friendly, everything was super fresh, made to order and solid portions. I got the village veggie, with no cream cheese, but thinking back.. that would probably even make the sandwich more epic, it hit all the right spots. It was flavorful and delivered very well. - my buddy got some kind of chicken sandwich that he said was amazing as well. I also got a coffee and that was tasty, they use Java City, nothing special in my eyes, but I get it. It's a longtime staple. - I didn't even get to touch the desserts this time!!, that will be my mission next visit, along with trying something else... from roaming local roosters to just a really beautiful hangout, definitely this place is worth checking out. They're open 7 AM to 6 PM so I'd say you have really no excuse other than to go get that bomb deli sandwich!

As someone who is bipolar and been homeless before, I always pass along my leftovers to one of the homeless that hangs out in the park. I came up to him today with a cup of tea, and he asked if I could get him a cup of coffee. I said sure, it's 2 dollars that I can spend on someone in a similar situation that I have been in myself before. I came out with a cup of coffee for him, he was standing by the bar down the street. He requested milk and sugar. I didn't want to touch the cup he was holding so I said okay. The girl at the register was happy to give me an extra cup for milk and sugar. I filled it and was cornered when I was exiting. She was fuming, flustered saying that refills aren't free. How dare I take free refills from the shop before. I apologetically expressed I can pay for a second cup of coffee. She didn't back down. She verbally berated me in front of EVERYONE and it was an awful experience. I've been homeless myself but I've never looked it. This is unacceptable behavior and very ableist. I will still come by, but I wanted to warn others that this place is very discriminatory against the disabled homeless population and I do not want to be a part of this kind of energy.

This specific Sandwich Spot location was one of my original favorite sandwich shops of all time…read more My friend Ashley and I used to always come here and split a Cougar on Dutch Crunch, sub pastrami for turkey. Feeling nostalgic, I recently decided to have lunch here. I asked for a Cougar with pastrami instead of turkey. "You want a number 26?" (Looks at menu) "Yes, with pastrami instead of turkey." "Number 26, right?" When I had walked in, I saw two girls cleaning. One of them had stopped to take my order. After taking my order, she continued to clean for exactly ten minutes before stopping, washing her hands, and beginning to prepare my sandwich. (I'm positive that it was exactly ten minutes before she even *started* to make my sandwich, because I get a text message the minute my card is charged, so it's easy to just look at the text, and see how much time has elapsed.) As she finished making my sandwich, another guest came in. After she placed her order, the second girl washed her hands, and both girls made her sandwich together. While I had waited nearly fifteen minutes for my sandwich, this girl waited for less than two. It was so odd. As I ate my sandwich, both girls behind the counter stared at me so hard that I seriously wondered if they had done something funky to my sandwich. So, all of that was very strange. But the sandwich was good. None of the ingredients were missing. The veggies were all in ridiculously tiny quantities in comparison to the super smearing of sauce, but, it was all there, and it tasted good. When it comes to sandwiches, in terms of the meat, you get what you pay for. Sandwich Spot uses cheaper meat than some fancier delis do, but they also use a larger quantity of it. So, if you would rather have a large amount of okay pastrami versus a medium amount of great pastrami, then, Sandwich Spot is the spot for you. If you're really into premium lunch meat, though, this isn't it. The pastrami tasted like it could have come from the fridge section at Winco or Walmart. Overall, for a cheaper/lower-end sandwich place, Sandwich Spot is still one of my favorites. I love their menu, and haven't found a sandwich quite like the Cougar anywhere else.

I hadn't been here in nearly 10 years and was looking forward to a nostalgic lunch, but…read moreunfortunately, this visit was a major letdown. I ordered the Barracuda, and my wife got the General Lee. Both sandwiches were served on Dutch crunch rolls that were so hard, they were nearly inedible -- my wife couldn't even finish hers because the bread hurt her mouth. Mine left the roof of my mouth sore, but I pushed through since it wasn't exactly a cheap meal. The fillings didn't help either -- the meat tasted like it had been sitting for a while especially the roast beef, and the vegetables were wilted and lifeless. The macaroni salad tasted identical to the store-bought Reser's brand, with that unmistakable aftertaste, which was disappointing. Overall, nothing felt fresh. Everything had the vibe of being prepped a day or two ago and just left to sit. I truly wish we had just gone to the grocery store instead. Sadly, this place didn't live up to the memories, and I won't be returning. Lesson learned.
