Lamb Salad
Darina H.

I was here on Sunday afternoon for lunch. My first time here to try their food and was excited to see what options they had since the reviews have generally been positive. The establishment is located in the smaller shopping plaza - so parking can be a little tricky if there are a lot of customers at the businesses. There are lots of seating options when I arrived, it was pretty busy and most tables were being used. I ordered the Lamb Salad with dressing on the side. I ordered a side of pita to enjoy with the salad. I informed them that I wanted to eat the food at the restaurant. My order did take some time (because of how busy it was) - about 15 minutes. They ended up putting the order in a to go bag, even though I wanted to eat there. So I had to unwrap everything and eat it there, had to ask for utensils. Had to take a star away because I did feel that they were quite busy and there was some miscommunication and time spent. I would come back again because the food was really good! Ambiance here is fast casual. Nothing fancy - super family friend and I like that they have options for vegetarians and kids!

Authentic Mediterranean cuisine in Folsom. They offer a variety of dishes like gyros, shawarmas, platters and falafels. Tried their lamb gyro which came with generous amounts of lamb steak that was topped with fresh ingredients like lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and their tzatziki sauce. I ordered their afghani burger but was told after it was ordered that they do not have grilled sausage. Instead it was substituted for a different protein. This item was still delicious, but it was more of a wrap than an actual burger. Overall 4 stars.

Beef and lamb shawarma

I had the lamb and beef shawarma which was really good. Friendly staff with good prices. The ambiance was okay. The bathroom was awful, in desperate need of a deep cleaning.

Mango Smoothie

This place was amazing! The service was very accommodating. We had the Shawarma combo plates and baklava and everything tasted great. My daughter got an in house made mango smoothie too she loved! My son kept stealing from my plate when he finished! Amid went above and beyond and we will be returning!

I found this on yelp and it did not disappoint. Parking was a little tight but manageable during a week day. It's located in a shared complex. With that said I came in and was the only customer. Going in, it was very clean. There are plenty of tables, and a TV screen. At that time there wasn't anything showing. I ordered, and the man was very polite and even brought my food to my table! I ordered a combo plate since I was unsure of what to order and man, that packed a lot of flavor! I wasn't planning to eat everything, but I devoured the entire plate. The meat was cooked well and had a great combo taste of lamb, beef and chicken. That tzatziki sauce and hummus just put everything together. The rice was nice and fluffy and had a hint of lime. The pita bread was warm and soft. Since I was the only one in the restaurant, besides the two men working, wish there was some type of music in the background. It felt a little awkward, but I was more focused on the delicious food. I will definitely come back and try other things from the menu! Can't wait!

Eggplant with lots of seeds hiding inside

Parking is a little tight, due to narrow parking design, small diner, hardworking men, kitchen is set up right where you can see them cooking everything. Smells delicious inside. Small, compact, anout 7 separate tables, but very tight, so you can hear everything and everyone talking. Very busy place, lots of pick up orders, the wait was about 30 min. Bathroom was ok, could have been cleaner. Tables were clean though. The food was delicious, the only thing that I wasn't too keen on, were the seeds I kept biting into and had to pick out from the top of the falafels and the eggplant. I don't like the feeling of biting into hot pepper seeds, plus they're super spicy! I could have done without. I love spice, but not when you have a mouthful of seeds you have to keep picking out. The hummus- delicious, the rice- soft and fluffy, falafels were good as well.

Order counter where they make the food in front of you.

These guys are great upbeat and happy making delicious food. I had the spicy lamb gyro and a piece of baklava. I highly recommend both the spicy lamb gyro nice spicey balance and the baklava. They make the food fresh in front of you.

Baklava and chicken shawarma

After a long day if tiring work I went to this place and loved it absolutely to the best. They didn't change the ambiance much from the previous business just added the food. The service was great and they explain the spicy level means. The taste of my chicken shawarma was good (juicy, tasty, perfect wrapped) and delivered with smile.

Greek Salad with chicken

Food was great and fresh, service was good, presentation of the salad was great, restaurant was a little hot. Greek chicken Salad tastes amazing. It had chicken, bell peppers, tomatoes, feta, & cucumber. I got no onion and no olives.

I was craving a yummy Falafel Corner Chicken Shawarma wrap and visited the Granite Bay restaurant which was closest to my location at the time. I should've known something was not right about this Falafel Corner when I was greeted by a white boy who didn't know what Chicken Shwarma was. My food was truly awful and tasted nothing like the Chicken Shawarma at the other 5 locations I've been to. This version of the wrap had hardly any meat which BYW did not taste anything like Falfel Corner Chicken Shawarma. Instead of being packed with delicious chicken and onions, this wrap had spinach filler mixed in with the chicken and everything was completely drenched in a nasty sauce that absolutely was not tahini or tzatziki. It almost tasted fishy and looked slightly pink. It was totally gross. I ate a few bites and threw that nasty sandwich in my compost. I would have asked for my money back if I was eating onsite. But unfortunately I took this nasty wrap to go and didn't know what I was in for until I got home. One thing is for sure, I will never return to this Falafel Corner location ever again.

I recalled there was a Petra Greek in Folsom's Palladio shopping center. So off I go. The cashier was polite, and knowledgeable about the menu and food. The dining room had a lot of seating, and was kept neat 'n tidy. I got my to go order super quick. My Petra combination was yummy. Not the best ever, tasty nonetheless. The combo plate came with rice, Greek salad (which was big chunks of tomatoes & cucumbers with Kalamata olives, red onions and feta cheese) , chicken souvlaki, pork souvlaki, beeftekia, pita bread and choice of tzatziki or hummus. The chicken and pork were tender; the skewered meat was flame cooked giving a barbecued flavor. The beeftekia is a patty of ground pork and beef and spiced up. Very unique flavor. I couldn't decide on hummus or tzatziki so I ordered both for an extra $2. The Petra plate is alot of food, get ready to strap on the ole feed bag. With the quantity comes a higher price. $23.99. The extra sauce $2 might not seem to be a lot of money but for the itsy bitsy container, I thought it was pricey. I haven't been here in over a hot minute. As I was driving about looking for a parking space as if I were scouting for dry land from being lost at sea; I realize why it's been over a hot minute since my last visit. Finding parking is ruff. There are few spaces in front of the shops which the stars didn't align for any spots being open when I drove by. There is a parking garage and open lot but it's a walk in. I gave up on the parking garage after driving to the second floor and driving half way through, no available spaces. So I truck back out to the lot in front of Kirkland and See's. I walked in from there, along the way bopping about like frogger trying to cross the lot and crosswalk without getting hit.

If you can't seat me at 2:40pm then you should update your hours to reflect that you actually close at 2:30pm since I would hate for another loyal customer to experience this absurdity. We have been patrons since the 80's when the original location on Fulton Ave opened, and the Folsom location for 25+ years!
