My "margherita" pizza - where's the basil?
    Anita L.

Gave Mr. Pizza Man a shot and don't think I'll be coming back. My husband and I decided to split a large pizza, half margherita for me and half mr. pizza man special for him. When we got the pizza, the first thing I noticed was that one key ingredient of my margherita pizza was missing - the basil. So it was just a tomato and cheese pizza. While it wasn't bad, it wasn't what we paid for. My husband's side luckily had all the ingredients but because there was a bunch of deli meat included, I felt that it all tasted overly salty. Wasn't necessarily my cup of tea.

Mr Pizza Man is the textbook definition of a 3-star Yelp place. Nothing is overly bad, but also nothing is exceptionally good. Everything is just average. I got the NY steak sandwich with meat sauce. While I guess the meat can be considered "steak" it was a bit chewy and the sandwich itself is just some weird meat slapped between a bun with pasta sauce and some cheese. Passable if you're hungry, but not changing your life for the better. In addition to the sandwich I got the seafood pizza which comes with clams, garlic & shrimp. Actually was a solid pizza and for a small which comes with just 6 slices, it was a huge portion. Obviously couldn't finish it that same night, so reheated the leftovers the next day and it still tasted average. Enough to fill you and leave you satisfied, but also questioning the amount of oil and ingredient quality. Overall, I would probably come back if I need something to eat late at night, but you won't catch me ordering from here during the daytime when normal restaurants are open.

Second time we've ordered from this location. First one was a pick up so delivering the food home was on me and was good. This time we did delivery and half the pizza was caught on the top part of the box. I will give them another chance to see how it'll go. Girls like the cheese pizza from here. Just hope they would be more careful on delivery.

It was really good! Food came out hot and pizza was extremely cheesy and had lots of toppings. The reviews almost scared us away but I'm glad we tried it out. Chicken wings were meaty and they gave us an extra sauce. Pizza doesn't have a ton of sauce or seasoning but the crust is good and I normally dislike crust entirely

Okay, this place is a solid 4 stars. It's not the best pizza out there, but it's a great value! I got the Monster Special, which is a 1-topping XL pizza and a 2-liter bottle of soda, and I didn't anticipate the pizza to be huge. (Yknow, some places claim XL to be EXTRA large, but it's not really big) However, when I opened the box, a bunch of grease was floating on the top. My family was adventurous and ate it regardless, but I had to wipe some of that grease off. It was a bit offputting for me. With great pizza deals comes a great amount of grease.

The food isn't bad, my reason for low star review the fact. That I asked them for beans separate bc my daughter highly allergic. Cashier explained that it came separate container, that's not a separate container if you ask me. Not only was my daughter not able to eat it, because I was not going to gamble with her health over bad food handling. Highly upset, bc if I gave her anything could've had beans on it she would've had bad reaction. Very careless and will not be coming back.

My go to: pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms.

The quality here sucks. The price is a bit expensive. The only reason this place is good is because of the late night service in my opinion.

My friends and I had long known Little Star Pizza, an SF staple for many years, one of few deep dish pizza makers in the '90's. When they ambitiously expanded and spawned this brand, I was happy for not having to stress over the parking situation in the Mission. We started coming here for friend get together which morphed into weekend takeout family meals. In recent months, I've been getting food, mainly appetizers, for my friend and occasionally getting a pie and salad for meals throughout the workweek. Pizza for breakfast anyone? I actually stopped here on Saturday 5/30th and got that. As I enjoy my remaining slices in the next few days, I will savor those bites. In reading their farewell email, the nearest location is Burlingame, a bit of a trek for me. Thank you, Westlake Blue Line and your staff for always being efficient, friendly, and helpful. Great area next to restaurants, bakery and boba tea places in the Westlake center. The restaurant has a full bar and outdoor patio seating. Our server was really nice and attentive. We ordered a specialty pizza, small brass monkey on a deep dish. First of all, the presentation of this pizza looks beautiful, lol. So I was really happy that it tasted freaking amazing! The Italian sausage, spinach, mushroom, onion and garlic with the ricotta, feta and mozzarella (yes lots of cheese!) was delicious! You can taste all the different ingredients on every bite! I love mushroom and garlic as it brought out an umami/savory flavor to the dish. The corn meal crust melts in your mouth and was not heavy at all. For each slice, felt like you just ate 2 slice because of how much stuffing they put into this pizza. It was soooo filling!!! Small is perfect for 3 people. Since there's only 2 of us, we ended up bringing the leftovers home. I recommend this place for pizza lovers or anyone who just enjoy great food! Will be back!

We ordered the Garden Pizza and the Chicken Garlic Pizza. The Garden Pizza had a light, fresh flavor, and I loved all the vegetables on it. When we arrived, our waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable about the beers, but honestly, that wasn't a big deal. My boyfriend ordered his pizza while I was still deciding what I wanted. His pizza came out very quickly, which we had no complaints about. The issue started when we had barely been seated for about 15 minutes. I went to the restroom, and while I was gone, the waitress approached my boyfriend while he literally had pizza in his mouth and a full beer in front of him and told him, "My chef said to charge you." He was confused but said okay because it made us wonder if they were closing. I checked the hours, and they weren't supposed to close until 10 PM--it was barely around 9 PM. I HADN'T EVEN ORDERED MY FOOD YET. I was still planning on ordering my own pizza, dessert, and a drink. Instead, we suddenly felt like we were being rushed to pay and leave. What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

I accidentally purchased a large pizza instead of a medium so I decided to call them immediately to see if they could fix the order and make it right by giving me a refund and making it a medium instead, but then the guy who answered the phone told me " I don't know what to do?" " what do you want me to do?" numerous times I tried to explain to him the situation. He even proceeds to tell me "well you ordered online and I didn't take your order so I don't know what you want me to do about it?". IT DOES NOT MATTER if I order online, on the phone, or in person, the customer still deserves a refund if they made a mistake on an order. Most expect food establishments to train their employees to act in situations like this or at least have a manager on site or maybe on call. He then told me he would call his manager and proceeds to call me back saying that his manager's phone is off and he's not answering. At this point as a customer I don't really have any control on my end so what is he expect me to do? All I want is a refund that shouldn't be hard to ask for. I asked if there's anybody else working there that could help me and he said that they don't speak English, which is fine, but it really did frustrate me and I didn't know what else to do. I eventually just told him to just go ahead just make the food. I don't care anymore. I'll pick it up. It's ridiculously disappointing when you just want to get a refund because you ordered the wrong thing online and then they can't even do that simple transaction that is a common thing in pretty much every food establishment. This situation just frustrated me so much that I will not order from this restaurant anymore. Another incident I wanna say a few months ago, where I ordered delivery to my house and the delivery took so long I was literally about to fall asleep because I was getting so late. Luckily the delivery driver apologized and was nice. Ambience: There's pretty much no tables. It's like one table in there and chairs and that's it. Please do better in situations like this thank you!
