Customers paid good money for the Red Bank Food and Wine Walk this past Sunday and Mr. Pizza Slice was not ready for their customers at start time. Yes, sounds like a small matter but if they are being paid for their service and they don't provide the agreed upon service, then they are not a well run business. If the food walk starts at 2 pm, don't turn customers away stating you are not read - to come back in 15 minutes. Shame on you. We had a party of 10 and you lost us as potential customers. read more

When this place changed ownership I was curious to check it out. Horrible drop in quality and service and when I first left a review the owner called my workplace and threatened me physically. I won't go back there ever and I'd urge you to be careful around this place or Whipped Creperie where his wife works as they both seem psychotic in their harassment of a review. Sad to say this place is not the same since the new owners took over. They say that Steve taught them to make the pizza, but everything tastes different: the crust, the sauce, and the cheese. There used to be the perfect cheese/sauce/crust ratio at Mr Pizza Slice but that is no more. I've been going here for 27 years, so I was pretty familiar with the taste of the pizza. I have been eating at Mr Pizza Slice for longer than I care to remember. My two kids both 8 and 12 have been eating there since they were born. At least once a week. When Steve retired and sold the place I was thankful that Phil and Victor we're going to stay on and help continue the tradition of great food that we had come to enjoy. Sorry to say that tradition has come to an end. The newest owners, who did a terrific job with the renovations, have obviously renovated the pizza recipe. When your eight year old daughter tells you to "cross this place off our list", it is time to move on. The original pie wasn't fresh and wasn't CLOSE to the old recipe. The garlic knots had no garlic flavor. I agree with an earlier review and least change the name so no one feels short changed. My family and I frequent at Mr. Pizza Slice often. It's a great place to take kids as there is an nice open area in the back and they are always playing music, so they get to eat and dance, lol. Great pizza, and we are Italian's from Staten Island, so we know what great pizza really taste like. I recently catered from Mr. Pizza Slice for a family Christmas party too and all my guests were asking where the food was from as they were devouring all the trays of chicken francese, penne vodka, eggplant rollatini, mussels, the antipast platter, and more. Staff did a great job setting everything up, very professional and courteous. I will be catering from them again for sure! read more

GROSS. Went in for a slice before getting hair done across the street. The guy, with his bare hands, takes cash from person in front of me, I ask for a slice, and without gloves or washing his hands, grabs a slice, with his BARE hands and throws slice in the oven. Takes my money WITH bare hands, turns around and starts tossing some dough around after handling my money. Helps another customer in the same way. And proceeds to remove the slice from the oven with his bare hands and hands me the slice. Do these people know that money carries more germs than a toilet seat!? So careless and dirty. read more

First off, I go to their website and see some nice modern looking pizzas, go to place an order for one only to find out those aren't even photos of their pizza. We rotate where we order pizza from in and around Red Bank. Mr. Pizza Slice is the worst you can buy. We didn't even save the leftovers. New owners, most people know this. We had some confusion over my delivery order partially attributable to an out-of-date menu. The new owner went above and beyond in correcting the issue, and turned an upset/unhappy customer into a satisfied customer. Me and two other people ordered two slices of plain last night, there were only 5 left so i got one slice and waited for the next pizza to come out. after we order someone ordered a palin pie. the second slice he gave me the guy took and old slice of pepperoni and put loose cheese on top that was clearly just put on assuming i wouldnt notice. then on my way out a saw a stack of loose pepperoni on the pizza tray confirming that instead of just walking up and saying would you want pepperoni instead gave me a old slice with not even fully melted cheese on it . never coming back. read more

Was not pleased with the customer service here. The numerous occasions I've been here the owner has been rude and not pleasant what so ever. Found it extremely unprofessional to put down the new opening business next door (Fizz). I get as a business owner you want to promote your business over everyone else but to tell a customer not to go try a new place was extremely unprofessional.
