Have been going to Luigi's for over 15 years and never had a bad meal. Went this Saturday with family (total of 8 people). The place was packed and Patti the server was fantastic. The calamari and chicken caesar salad were great starters. We followed with an extra large pizza with half meatballs and a small Sicilian pie. Both outstanding! Luigi's in Little Silver is a hidden gem. The square pie is good, but nothing hits like their round pie. We normally get a sausage and pepper pizza and a chicken parm sub to split which give the two of us a few extra meals. When we dined-in we would order the chicken parm entree and the portions were ridiculously big and delicious. Covid is the worst, but Luigi's delivers... not just good food, but the comfort we need during a time like this. I had the buffalo chicken pizza here. I was excited when they had specialty pizzas available. Most pizza places in the area have plain, pepperoni, and usually two other choices. However, that excitement was turned quickly into disappointment when I took my first bite. It was a pizza that's been sitting out for a while and it broke apart when I got about half way through. Luigi's is my "go to" pizza joint in the Red Bank area. We order their take out on a regular basis. We usually will order their extra large pie -- which is a large rectangle with a thin-ner crust. They have a lot of options for toppings. We prefer a sausage peppers and onions, pepperoni, or meatball. If I have to complain, I'd say that since this pizza is so large, grease can pool up towards the center. After time, you may end up with some soggy square slices. Nonetheless, just grab a paper towel and mop it up if it bothers you that much! In addition to the pizza, we order hot and cold subs and the cold antepast. They make a real nice antepast filled with all sorts of quality ingredients. It is one of my favorites. I get their chicken parm and veal parm subs. They are pretty good, but not my favorites -- but still go to orders. My wife likes their peppers and eggs sub. We pick up and have it delivered. Their delivery service is very reliable -- but I believe they do charge a small delivery charge. Their Little Silver location has a small informal dining area, and an adjoining room. The second room can handle a small casual party or getogether. The smaller dining area is your basic pizzeria, with a few tables across from the counter. Came in for the first time this past Saturday. I was very disappointed. The food was good but the service in the dining room was shoddy. Our server a younger man with a beard was walking around with his phone blaring a sports event. He was very touchy feely with the girl who was working that night clearing tables. We waited a while for our appetizer (about 20 minutes) which was fried calamari, and it was delicious. The only one who seemed like they were intent on doing their job that night was the heavy set gentleman who introduced himself to us as the manager when he came to check on tables.
