The brisket and pulled pork was also excellent. Even the sides were admirable, especially the beans. Definitely order the beans! They do tend to run out of food (while we were there, they ran out of ribs and brisket), so you might want to come earlier in lunch. I also liked the eating set up alot. Well spaced and pleasant, you can see the harbor. Overall, if we are in the area again, we'd make it a point to come here. One thing though. The counter girl (who was cheery and nice) held up the tablet and asked which button she should press for you when it came to the tip. Now I'm going up to the window to order food, i'm fetching my own food and busing my own table. We didn't get to eat our BBQ on the spot, we took it home to eat after a long drive home. Even after driving several hours we made it home to settle down to eat our dinner, it was all so good, the Brisket was so tender mixed with the vegetables, it was an incredible burst of delicious flavors in every bit. The cornbread was sweet and spicy, an incredible partner to the Brisket sandwich. All in all, we had a terrific meal and hope to return the next time we are in the neighborhood. As I mentioned, it was not very busy, so I'm assuming they make their food in advance and let it sit in pans over heat all day. Which is not what you do with BBQ. It's quite disappointing because the flavor is there. The spices they use were a southern flavor, which is good; but it's so dry, you'll be reenacting the scene from Christmas Vacation just to eat your food. They should consider either limiting their hours they are open to help not have food sitting around to dry out or reconsidering how the make their food. Dry BBQ is the worst, hopefully they'll make the appropriate changes.
