The place was clean and nice. And the foods flavor was good. Now, the bad. While the flavor of the food was good, the food itself wasn't. Everything was extremely dry. We got the hush puppies to start and the sampler to try a little of everything. It was like a desert it was so dry. The hush puppies, chicken, ribs, brisket (which was more like pulled pork because they shred it for some reason) corn bread, and somehow both the coleslaw and baked beans, too. The only way this happens is if they make things earlier in the day and then everything just sits. Meaning it's not freshly made. As I mentioned, it was not very busy, so I'm assuming they make their food in advance and let it sit in pans over heat all day. Which is not what you do with BBQ. It's quite disappointing because the flavor is there. The spices they use were a southern flavor, which is good; but it's so dry, you'll be reenacting the scene from Christmas Vacation just to eat your food. They should consider either limiting their hours they are open to help not have food sitting around to dry out or reconsidering how the make their food. Dry BBQ is the worst, hopefully they'll make the appropriate changes.

We wander a good bit when we travel. We actually went to place next door first, but this seemed so much more lively and fun! Open air bar for the most part. Great vibe. My kind of place. The folks operating the place were nice and I enjoyed myself immensely here. They take good care of you. On to the food... That was the best freaking chili dogs I have ever had! Chili was great, smothered in queso, and I mean smothered. Fresh cut fries too!! Swoon. I wish I had this in my belly every single day. I am a five star kind of guy, right?!? Or it could have been I was so stinking stoned that it felt that way! Either way.... Killer chili dog! I don't even remember what town we were in or how we got there. I had to google the place to figure out where we were. C had the pulled brisket French Dip! Borealis bread, Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and housemade au jus. Amazing sandwich! The baked beans were very good as well. I am glad I took a bunch of pics and the food stood out so much so that it stayed locked in my memory banks so well. It was six months ago and I still think about this place. I do remember sampling all of the bbq sauces. I liked them all! I wish I had tried their bbq too. Hope I find my way back, and I hope you stumble in here, our out, either way, you will find a good time here. '26 - 69

I started my meal with the corn ribs and I'm so glad I did. They were flavorful with crispy edges and such a fun way to eat corn on the cob. Then I had the Station BBQ Quesadilla with the pulled pork. Oh my, the pulled pork was tender and juicy and stuffed into a crispy tortilla with lots of cheese and peppers and onions. I also got to take a few bites of a shared piece of corn bread. This came out hot with smoked paprika honey butter in the shape of an adorable pig on top. The corn bread was moist and sweet. At the end of our meal, the waitress even provided us with recommendations for our next destination.

The brisket and pulled pork was also excellent. Even the sides were admirable, especially the beans. Definitely order the beans! They do tend to run out of food (while we were there, they ran out of ribs and brisket), so you might want to come earlier in lunch. I also liked the eating set up alot. Well spaced and pleasant, you can see the harbor. Overall, if we are in the area again, we'd make it a point to come here. One thing though. The counter girl (who was cheery and nice) held up the tablet and asked which button she should press for you when it came to the tip. Now I'm going up to the window to order food, i'm fetching my own food and busing my own table. What I'm tipping for, I'm not really sure, but the way its done, it makes you feel like a heel if you don't cough up the same tip as a full service restaurant waiter would get. A bit mishegoss, not worth taking off a star though.

We ordered a flatbread pizza and then overheard our waitress tell others they were out of one of the main ingredients of our ordered pizza. Our waitress came back and said sorry we are out of flat bread so no pizza. We had a pretzel and a pickle flight. The pickles were good and the idea a neat one. I think the waitress did not want to be there as her first line to everyone after us was "the kitchen is backed up at least 30 minutes and we are out of many things". Not sure why the kitchen was backed up as the dinning room was almost empty. I had a coke and due to the backup I ordered another... no free refills of soda. Needless to say when the bill came and was $60 I asked her to review it since our main item was cancelled. The bill was correct. Never again.

The mac & cheese was fair, it just wasn't my normal style, but the BBQ made up for it. Obviously fresh and perfectly smoked. I don't think we could've stopped by the stand on a more beautiful, perfect day! Enjoy sitting outdoors by the food stand under a clean and well covered picnic area. The desserts were also fantastic and I recommend the key lime pie when it's available.
