He told me they were going to work on it right away and so I said great! After confirming that the water pump had broken and that they could have it repaired the same day I was very surprised and impressed. I did get a little concerned with the estimate but up to this point everything had gone better then expected so I went ahead and told them to get it repaired. Later that afternoon I got a call telling me that The job was done so I went in and picked it up after they let me know about a payment option which I qualified for and all was good again in my life!! The job carries a two year or 20,000 mile warranty and I even had my original cost for the inspection returned to me which I needed. I highly recommend dirks transmission and repairs to anyone with a small to large repair and need it done quickly and with complete professionalism. I will be going back for any future repairs and maintenance needed on my daily driver C6 Corvette 2008. Thanks Omar and the entire staff at Dirks auto repair. I wanted to post an update as of the end of the week of the repairs being completed and I did take my car back to Dirks because of a smell of antifreeze and just wanted to be safe. So there was a small leak in a heater hose that went undetected during the final pressure test performed. Omar told me to bring it in and we can take a second look so I did and it does happen, there was a small leak in a heater hose and it needed to be replaced as well. The only thing I would add as a help to their customers would be to have online exactly what coverage someone has, i.e., interior Auto Butler or coverage for a replacement key fob. I purchased our last three cars through them and any insurance additions have been done during the purchase, so they should be able to add them to my 'profile'. Just a suggestion. I cannot recommend them highly enough. After four plus years at other shops I know a bit about the process. I'll spare you the ups and downs of the whole journey but there was a point where I had to pull the plug on the second shop with some tasks remaining. Vintage Hot Rod was able to pick up and finish their work and correct mistakes that had been made. This shop has several guys working on projects, so the collective expertise is there to make sure that problems can be solved. They finished installing trim pieces, fixed the other guys mistakes in wiring and got it running again. All in short order. And yes, they communicated well with me the entire time. A word to anyone thinking of getting into classic cars; it takes a lot of money and it takes a lot of time. More of both than you will ever anticipate. If you think you are going to get a car and fix it up for cheap...you won't. It's far better to get a car that's already finished. There are lots of unpleasant surprises when you start rehabbing a car. Vintage Hot Rod did not do my body work. Their estimate was too high for me. I went with a shop that had a little better deal but less collective experience. In retrospect, I think I should have gone with Vintage Hot Rod. It may have been less expensive in the long run as it would have been done right the first time. Hindsight...

I dropped off my mower on a Tuesday. I had told it would be ready by Friday. The mower has already…read morebeen down for a week. We had new parts to order because a was paying for a maintenance service and whatever new parts I needed to get the mower working. I called Friday, no answer I called Saturday no answer then i messaged the business thru the Yelp app and got a response to pick up lower at 1:00. I showed up at 130 and he was still working on it.. he told me he didn't order any new parts and he replaced my blades with better used blades. Changed oil and air filter. That was it. The mower started right up. But when I got it home it wouldn't start. I message the business back and they told me to bring it back tomorrow. They will be there all day. I showed up today to bring the mower back. And the business was closed. Mind you I have a one way 25 minute drive to get to the business and for no one to be there very unprofessional. And it costs me my time and effort. I was carded $80 for the fixes that did work out. And I gave the guy a $20 tip cause I'm trying to build relationships. Im sure I'll need my mower to be serviced again. So I tip. I tried called and messaging but no one is responding. Im not please at all with the service and the run around
