A driver from Bambauer Towing, dispatched through AAA, showed up with absolutely no communication…read morefrom AAA about arrival time. Because we were stranded with our children, we had already called another towing company who arrived promptly and was polite, professional, and actively helping us. When the Bambauer driver arrived, he was rude from the very beginning. He interrupted a conversation we were already having with the two gentlemen helping us and immediately demanded an ID without even introducing himself. When we explained that the AAA membership holder could be there shortly, he repeatedly said he "couldn't do anything" and kept insisting we would be charged anyway. We clearly told him we were not using his services and asked him to step away. Instead of respecting that, he continued to stand in our personal space, arguing and telling us we would be charged, even after we asked him to leave us alone. His behavior felt aggressive and harassing--especially unacceptable considering our children were present. He's honestly lucky my husband didn't call the police over how he was acting. To make matters worse, when we called the office to report his behavior, the woman who answered was equally rude and dismissive, claimed the driver was "in the right," refused to help resolve the situation in any way, and then hung up on my husband. This company lacks professionalism, basic customer service, and accountability. If you value being treated with respect--especially in a stressful roadside situation--I would strongly recommend choosing a different towing company.

I managed to pull off to the right side of the road but was only a couple feet away from very fast cars and trucks that would shake my vehicle as they passed. I called AAA but the first towing company they got for me called me 15 minutes later saying they wouldn't be able to get to me for at least 3 hours! After a couple more calls to AAA and a visit from a friendly highway patrol officer, I received a very welcome call from Walter at L&T Towing saying he was on his way. Walter was very friendly and helped me through a stressful situation. He knew the local town of Williams well and directed me to a highly rated mechanic who was able to work on my car early the next morning. He even dropped me off at a nearby Motel 6 where I stayed for the night. I can't thank Walter and L&T Towing enough for their excellent service! Sadly, my car seems to be in bad shape, and I had to leave it in Williams while I continued my trip with a rental car to move my daughter. I'll be back for my car in a few days to have it towed to the Subaru dealer in Sacramento. Hopefully I'll be able to get AAA to use L&T Towing and ideally Walter again for this next tow.

My wife and I were driving from Sacramento to the tip of Northern California to visit my In-laws,…read morethe day before the 4th of July. We stopped in Orland to grab a quick bite before continuing our 6-hour journey, when our check engine light and TCS light simultaneously illuminated. We hobbled over to a shady spot to park and contact roadside assistance. (Mind you, it was over 110 degrees outside, we had our small dog, coolers and perishable items, and it was 4 PM in the afternoon - again, on the day before the 4th of July). Our insurance company scheduled a tow for us, but did not have the foresight to ensure the shop was even. After calling on a couple occasions, we realized that they were not. My wife then found JNJ Automotive and explained our precarious situation. The nice voice on the other end of the line told us they would take a look at it, if we could make it to their shop (approximately 3 miles away). After a rough drive, we made it! With distress in my wife's and my eyes, Mr. Jose calmed us by saying "Nothing is impossible." He was literally like an angel that God sent to remind us to have faith and that all would be alright. Mr. Jose and his sons worked quickly to determine what was going on with our vehicle. It turned out that we needed a software update before they could even begin fixing the issue. Being that it was now 6:00 PM on the day before the 4th of July, Mr. Jose stated that they could not get the software update until Friday, July 5th. Mr. Jose gave us multiple options for the next steps to take including driving us back to Sacramento or to a local inn. We thanked him for his kindness and told him we would take an Uber. Mr. Jose gave us his personal number for a little peace of mind. As Friday rolled around, Mr. Jose and his son, Joseph worked tirelessly to resolve our vehicle's malfunction. They later drove our vehicle to the Inn in which were staying. I'm telling you, these gentlemen were God sends! Thank you for all that you did for us! Many blessings to you and your family!
