I come here on my lunch breaks. Their food is fresh and tasty. The service is excellent with staff that are friendly and attentive. It's a small spot in a strip mall that is well kept and chill if you eat inside. They also have outdoor seating which is nice if you want some sunshine after being in the office all morning. I'm a picky gal especially when it comes to Mexican food which is my absolute favorite cuisine and this spot checks all my picky boxes. Definitely a must try if you're in the village at lunch time. This is some of the best Mexican food in lompoc. I live in the Village and I love how super close it is. The crunchy tacos are amazing with the perfect amount of ingredients in each one. Another one of my favorite is the taco salad.My husband always gets the flout us one of his favorites. Definitely worth checking out. However they do not have inside seating. They only have 2 booths that fit 2 people. Most of the time that's taken by employees. I suggest you call in your order ahead. I do wish they would open a restaurant though. read more

I've had some fabulous and flavorful Mexican food here at reasonable prices and normally love the beer battered fish tacos. My only caveat is caution when going on Fridays when it seems that any left over food is served in preparation for closing on the week-end and may be a disappointment. read more

My mother wanted to go eat here so I took her! Food had no flavor! I order the beef enchiladas Sauce on enchiladas tasted like a can was just open n sauce just thrown on a tortilla n meat had no flavor whatsoever. Since moving to the village my girlfriend and I had to find a place to get some Mexican food close to home, and this ended up being our favorite go-to spot. I'm gonna be honest, I have only ever ordered one thing off of the menu because it is so good that I've never wanted to try anything else. I always get the nacho supreme with grilled steak, and they are always consistent when it come to quality, quantity, and taste. Hands down the best steak nachos I have ever had. I hope to one day try the taco salad because I have heard great things about it as well. The service is always spectacular and they are so welcoming inside. It is a very small place, but there is at least 5 tables inside and also patio seating outside. They also offer a rewards system that will occasionally send you deals by text. After gaining a certain amount of point you can receive free items. Alright..... today i find myself in Vandenberg village. Better known as the "nice part" of Lompoc. This taco place has some good food! I had a #6 and also got an extra taco. Everything was delicious, but my only complaint was the portions were a little small. For 17$ i should be full and uncomfortable. The tacos are smaller than a taco bell taco, so keep that in mind when ordering. The order came out fast and the service was friendly! I usually eat in my truck, so i didn't get too much time inside, but it looks like a typical taco place. Some booths and some outside seating. I will eat here again!!! If you like Mexican food and are stuck at the SFB, i say give this place a shot! read more

Cheese enchiladas were dried up, lukewarm and the cheese wasn't melted in the middle. Very little sauce. I won't make that mistake again.

My husband wanted to try this place. I was happy with the restaurants we already frequent but okay let's try it. The Xango dessert had me intrigued. Cheesecake, wrapped in a tortilla, deep fried, covered in cinnamon and sugar (churro style) then topped with either chocolate (my choice), caramel, or strawberry. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. In addition to the TASTY ASS DESSERT, their food was great. The steak had a lot of flavor and the salsa compliments it well. This place rocks! It is a little tiny place that serves great food. We had Tonys fish taco and it was delicious. Also had the fish burrito and it was giant! Could easily serve two people. I've honestly only been to this restaurant three times because the flavor doesn't beg me to come more often. Honesty ain't easy when it makes everybody queasy. I found the rice bland. I was hoping it would be more flavorful with garlic or tomato or something. I got the two beef taco meal and they put just enough meat in it so you can't call it vegetarian :-p. They are busy. Just wanted a little something. I ordered two enchiladas a la carte, which cost over $8.00, plus I tipped. When I got them, there was sour cream squirted on top. Other Mexican places I go to will put a dollop on the side, or ask if I want sour cream. I told the lady I wasn't expecting sour cream squirted squiggly on my enchiladas and she said :"you didn't say no sour cream." I am obviously unfamiliar with the way they squirt it all over the enchiladas, and I told her I wasn't expecting any. So I asked if they would remake them for me. She said "I will give you 50% off. You lose and I lose." That was a weird way to put it. She was obviously irritated. So I said that I would just scrape off the sour cream and asked if I could have some enchilada sauce to replace what I was scraping off. Unfortunately I didn't realize that I'd also be scraping off the cheese on top, which I didn't have replaced. So, I felt like I didn't get much food for over $8.00, and I was disappointed that they didn't gladly make the enchiladas over again. My bad, their bad . . . I really don't know. My family has been eating here since we moved to the village in 2008. Not exaggerating, we eat here about once a week. Our family's favorite is the Taco Salad but everything on the menu is worth a try. The customer service is excellent and the food is made fast and delicious. read more

If you're in the Lompoc area, this is a solid place to refill. I particularly liked the chicken soft taco because of the grilled onions, ample chicken and seasonings that shine through without relying solely on salsa for flavor. Fast service, great grab and go lunch. read more

THE best Chile Colorado you will find. It is spicy. We do not live very close but whenever we are in the area we stop in and buy the #3.

Everything was good, nice people in the front, my only complaint is the torta is kind of small.

Glad to see that Alex, the OWNER, has been working on improving her customer service skills, I have been back a couple of time haha (yes even after l was NOT planning on EVER returning) and have been treated like a loyal returning long time customer should be treated. Living in Vandenberg Village for over a year now and and I always thought I had to drive into town to get good Mexican food. I thought wrong! Mr Taco has great Mexican food!! The service is great and the orders have gotten ready quicker recently. We haven't ordered anything we haven't loved. All the burritos are great and decently priced. My "go to" is just a basic bean, rice and cheese burrito w chips and salsa (so fresh!) only thing I would change is having them open more hours lol read more

This place was just ok. Small seating area only about 5 or 6 booths (2 or 3 are two person booths). I got the chili relleon and chicken enchilada plate, which came with beans and rice. Let's start with the beans. They were ok nothing to rave about. They came with lightly sprinkled cheese. Now I was disappointed because I asked for extra cheese and when my food came out there was no extra cheese. The rice was ok. Very hard to mess up rice. It was fluffy, I think it could use a little more flavor. The chicken enchilada came with red sauce not the normal sauce you see on the chicken enchiladas. It was over powering the flavor of the food. The chili relleno also had the red sauce on it as well which wasn't ideal. Again took away the full flavor of the dish. The length was a good size but it was pretty thin and not as much cheese as I would have expected. Will give this place another chance but try a different dish. read more
