Great food portions if your super hungry and the tacos are the best durado's (hardened) w everything. Burritos are huge too. Asada fries as well

Breakfast burrito with chorizo and bacon

Still a 10/10 always a staple for us when we pass through Los Banos, I normally not even a fan of breakfast burritos but this one is the exception. This is a unit of a burrito enough for 2 or more but flavor is not compromised by the size every bite is a 10/10!

I always see the Mr. Taco hut on the 152 in Los Banos when I visit my mom in Central Valley. I decided to give it a shot when I was on my way back home one night and I was not disappointed. It's a small hut with two drive thru windows and every time I've passed by, there's always a line. The night I came, I was the second car there which was perfect. They have a really big menu so I suggest checking their menu you out before you go so you know what you want. I ordered the asada tacos, asada quesadilla, and pork tamale. One thing I noticed right away was that they were not stingy with the meat. The asada had really good flavor and the tacos were the best I've had aside from my favorite spot in Pasadena. The quesadilla was amazingly good, but I only ate half to leave room for the pork tamale. I'm glad I did because the tamale didn't last a second. It was packed with so much flavor and the red sauce complimented it really well. There were 3 people working inside and they were super friendly. Once I ordered, they had my food ready within 5 mins. I ate in my car, but they had an area where you can park your car and eat at a patio area next to the hut. Be warned that there are no bathrooms from what I saw, but there's other places around you can most likely go to and use their restrooms. If you're driving on the 152 and passing through Los Banos, I highly recommend Mr. Taco. I will definitely get food here whenever I visit my mom.

Always a must stop when passing through Loa Banos. HUGE tacos stuffed with perfect carnitas and crunchy fish. The crunchy taco was fried to perfection and the carnitas mai flavorful.

One of my orders placed in the middle of the bag.

The food was reasonably priced. Service was good, took awhile to get our food. I was disappointed when opening my order and everything was smashed into one bag carelessly, leaving a bit of a mess and loss of appetite. It's an ok place, just wish it was a bit better with presentation and cleanliness.

It is ALWAYS great at Mr. Taco~!! Today I had a combination of SOPES with lengua meat with everything on it and 3 super burritos with carne asada for kids thou Just last few times there was spicy salsa in all kids burritos they dislike and I always tell ladies not to add any spicy stuffs!!

Chorizo breakfast burrito

I came during the week in the morning to order a chorizo breakfast burrito and I didn't even eat it because it was so damn greasy. I wouldn't even give this to my dog. It seems like every time I go the food quality just gets worse and worse. The service was also trash the girls are very rude.

Everything I have had here is delicious and we eat here often. The prices are very reasonable. Our family favorite is the carne asada fries!

Outstanding Mexican food! A must try! The beans and rice are especially amazing. My husband and I stop every time we are in the area.

Huge tasty burritos could feed a family of 4! Tortilla was kind of raw though. I guess you have to ask them to cook it?

One thing I loved was the "Feed Me Tacos & Tequila" sign on the wall--it makes for a fun photo opportunity and fits the vibe of the restaurant perfectly. However, the tree branches partially block the sign, making it difficult to get a good picture. It would be great if they either lowered the sign or trimmed the branches so guests could fully enjoy it as a photo spot. Unfortunately, the cocktail was a major disappointment. It looked gorgeous, but it tasted like there was little to no alcohol in it. I'm a lightweight and typically feel the effects of a single drink, but I finished the entire cocktail and didn't feel anything. It was supposed to be made with mezcal tequila but I requested a substitution, so I'm not sure if that change was overlooked. The birria tacos were just okay. They were a bit dry and could have used more cheese for better flavor and texture. The salsa was also very thin and watery, which was underwhelming and didn't add much to the meal. Overall, the ambiance and service were the highlights of the experience, but the food and drinks fell short of expectations

It is about time that I give recognition where it is deserved. After my third visit here tonight, I…read morethought I would take the time to say thank you for a wonderful dining experience. I love this restaurant, This is Southwest cuisine done to perfection. Think Chevy's , but with an extensive menu and food that is actually really good. There was nothing I would change about my visit tonight- it was memorable and fulfilling. For starters , we ordered the Margherita pizza. Not quite Southwest , but it works - trust me! The pizza is wood-fired! The cheese , tomatoes and basil are fresh. Oh , and the tomato sauce they use is just right. Seriously, the pizza here rivals some pizza that I have tried at Italian restaurants. I can't wait to try more pizza creations. For my entree, I opted for the chile verde enchiladas covered in a smooth tomatillo sauce. This enchilada sauce was so tangy and the pico de gallo and guacamole topped them off perfectly. The entree comes with Spanish rice and charro beans. My wife opted for the ribeye steak fajitas , and they were fantastic. The steak was marinated well and it was tender. The only thing that could have made this dish better would be homemade tortillas . Espana's serves up high quality food. Everything that I have tried so far has been phenomenal. The service that we receive is always prompt and friendly , and the food comes out fast -but not too fast. Tonight's meal was a five star experience. Please look at the colorful menu items below and make it a point to stop in and try for yourself.

I remember a big spacious restaurant that had that special ambiance of character that I didn't know existed in the small town. I remember the staff being friendly and the food being quick and consistent of expectations with what I ordered. Fast forward to yesterday, our annual trip to the game, this time with my own boys (3&5). It was getting late on the drive home so we needed to stop for dinner. I told my pops about my memory of Espana's and I wanted to stop to see if it was what I remembered. My expectations were met with exactly the nostalgic memories I had of the place. The ambiance, the staff, and food were all exactly as I remember as a child. It's really nice to have this kind of experience at this day and age where everything is corporately owned, cookie cutter, and rushed! See you again next year!
