This place is amazing, the people are friendly, and they can give you great suggestions on what to order. We were only in California for four days and I stopped off here twice. Their burritos and nachos are excellent. Ask for grilled vegetables on the nachos. Try the chili relleno burrito, you belly will thank you. We exited highway 5 on our way back to San Jose, looking for some good Mexican food. I had never heard of Mr Taco until we drove past it and decided to give them a try. I'm so thrilled to know that this place was all ran by women and they are the only restaurant in Los Banos that has a Taco Salad!! Can you believe that?!? Anyways, the horchata was amazing for the grilled vegetables I had was saturated with salt. This place would have definitely got a 5 stars but I couldn't eat my taco salad. The breakfast burritos are alright if you want to wait 45 minutes with no one else in line. The Jamaica sucked and had nasty stuff in it. They wouldn't give me something else or refund me . My daughter asked to try it one day and I was like I guess but turns out it's good, the female who helped us the first time we went was a little rude but maybe she had a hard day. It has become our new go to, the only thing is the drive-thru is a little awkward and sometimes the wait is a bit long but over all good. Second day in a row I have went and got mr taco's "mr taco" the one with the sauce and flower tortillas, twice I did not receive those I got regular tacos with salsa I took them back to the window and asked if the mr tacos have flower tortillas and sauce and she said that's what I got. Decided to give this place a try since the YELP reviews were so good. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. I've been here about 3 times to make sure I didnt come on an "off day". Chicken was super gross, you could tell it was boiled. Which is fine, I like boiled chicken but this had no flavor. Asada, was okay, nothing special about it. I came 2 days later and they had fish tacos, YAY ME. I must say, they were actually pretty good, very tasty full of flavor. The third time I came, got the fish tacos and shrimp ceviche. The fish tacos were really gross. Had 0 flavor, I was very disappointed. Once we got home (I live 5 mins away from the taco place) the tostada from the shirmp was really soggy. This place is super convenient since it's close to the freeway and is a drive thru! My dad and I were in town and stopped here for an early lunch before heading back on the road to the Bay Area. We tried their carne asada tacos for .99 cents and they were AMAZING!!!! Not to mention cheap! Being from the bay tacos are almost $2 each so this was a steal. The hot sauce was great as well it has enough kick but not too much to make your mouth on fire. My dad has the Mr. Grill and I had the Taco Salad, both came with drinks and were only $4.99 each! They didn't have grilled chicken since they had just opened around 11 am so I settled for the shredded chicken. I was slightly nervous since it's usually bland and dry but I was very mistaken here! It was so juicy and tender and was soaked in another one of their milder salsas for more flavor so the shredded chicken was a great addition to the fresh salad ingredients! I really like their taco salad bowl as is was light and crispy. Their mr grill was great as well with carne asada. It's pretty much a burrito with everything inside and then they grill the out side like a panini sandwich. Overall their meats and ingredients were all fresh and there was no complaints!! All were delicious and we had 3 drinks and paid about $15! You can't beat that price, especially when the food is as good it was. The grilled chicken was spicy just as the young lady told us and my husband loved every bite while his head was sweating from the spiciness. I had carnitas on my taco salad and I tried to hurt myself eating it all. If my stomach were able to expand more, I would have eaten the shell.
