We've been eating at Taco Mi Nacho for years but, on a whim, we decided to cheat on our beloved taco joint for the younger, prettier sister Mr. Taco. First impression: parking isn't a nightmare like Mr. Taco's counterpart. Upon walking in you're greeted by a plethora of tables which, for us, means not having to awkwardly stand in front of the soda fridge with a newborn and bouncy toddler. The menu is exactly the same, as are the prices. The chicken seems to be cooked/spiced a little different but, otherwise, they serve the exact same food. This place is delicious!!! Grabbed a ton of stuff for lunch today and it only came to $40. The tacos and salsas hit the spot and the churros brightened up my whole day. I saved the tamales for my mother in law to try tonight for dinner. They're huge and I'm so glad I found a place that makes them! Love the cochinita and the chorizo and the al pastor. I have lived in San Diego so I'm very familiar with many of the restaurants like this in California. It's good in Connecticut because there is no competition from any others like it. However in California I'm not so sure they would do that well. Postives... Nice big clean and airy restaurant with very friendly workers and plenty of seating. Good choices on various tacos and other things at reasonable pricing. Fast service including free chips and red and green salsa. You order and pay at the front and then sit while someone brings it out to you. Negatives... I would pass on the green salsa. It seems almost like green mayonnaise. I'm especially fond of green salsa and in California I use it almost exclusively. So I was a bit disappointed by the green salsa here. I've never seen anything like it before and I don't like it. The red was very good however. Second negative was the fish tacos. The breaded outside of the fish was so soggy and it was just falling off the fish. This really disappointed me because in Cal I love the fish taco places and use to eat at them almost every night at times. The fish taco I had at Mr. Taco was so soggy it soaked into my tortilla and the whole thing just fell apart on my plate in a big mess. They did give me another tortilla however. I won't be getting their fish tacos again. One thing I wish they had which is very common in California is a salsa bar. It's common to have several choices of salsa types out there. Another tip I would give if you are heading over there is don't be surprised if you can't find a spot to park on the street. There's only a few spots available. But if you go around the corner the public library has a large lot that I park in. I'm not sure if the library allows it but I haven't gotten a ticket yet. All in all I'm very happy with this taco spot and I recommend you get over there to try it out! read more

This place is wayyyy too good not to be famous i don't usually like burritos that I purchase from places but I ordered the Noah burrito and it's a 10 out of 10 ! The way they fried the chicken inside the burrito, the cheeses they used , the sauce inside plus the sauces you can add to it ....... To die for ! Freaking Delicious it also came with fries which I wasn't expecting at all and they banging too my fiancé picked the birria tacos and WHOAAAAAAAAAAAA , my mind is blown right now. I feel like I went to food heaven Staff was really nice and friendly, the restaurant inside is beautiful, not going to lie you wouldn't think so from the surrounding outside but once you step inside... y'a ... By far our favorite local Mexican spot. We made this place a regular weekly visit for us before Covid-19. We love supporting local and even more love supporting Mr. Taco. Great service, great food. Carne asada tacos are consistently amazing each time we visit. We have tried other items such as their tostadas, chicken and cheese quesadillas and ceviche. All impressed. I highly recommend. Also, a couple people have negative reviews towards the green sauce that Mr Taco offers you with your chips. I'm not sure what they are talking about. Their green sauce is amazing here. Of the people I know that eat here regularly, we all love the green sauce they offer to you with chips when you sit down. Maybe they had a bad experience and should give Mr Taco another visit. I was very impressed with everything so I decided to book the truck for a surprise birthday party I was throwing for my wife at our house. To say that the owner and staff were the epitome of professional and accommodating would be an understatement. The party was greatly enhanced by the truck being there. The menu we got included tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, chips, salsa, all the fixings (sour cream, guac sauce, hot sauce), tamarind juice and even churros. All of our guests were completely in love with the food and raved about it to me throughout and after the party. I tried a bit of everything and every bite I had was full of flavor. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients and put a lot of love into their product. I would highly recommend visiting this food truck and giving them a try. If you are hosting a party and are looking for a food truck, this is your answer. The service, price and quality of food is hands down some of the best in the state. That includes several other food trucks I've tried as well as catering services I've experienced. This review is for the restaurant. I went last night and ordered 3 steak tacos. The steak was dry and had NO flavor. I couldn't finish the 3 tacos. They also do not have a traditional green salsa or salsa verde they just have one that has avocado but not enough flavor for me. I happened to be working close by months later and stopped in and was happily surprised that they had gotten into the groove and have good food. The only thing to note: tell them onion and cilantro on the tacos if that is how you want them, otherwise they will serve lettuce tomato and cheese on them. I'm an ex customer of Taco Mi Nachos because of Mr. Taco. I've tried so far their shredded beef, and steak tacos, their fish tacos and chicken flautas. Everything is delicious and I'm always going at least once a week for more. I love their vibrant restaurant colors and all the seating they have. Your not cramped up or waiting in very small area. My children love their food as well which is a huge plus. Everything is pretty reasonable too if you wanna dine out with the family. Very clean and friendly as well.
