Mr. Taco is an absolutely fantastic and delicious choice for food. I work right next to them so i am frequently eating their food and they have quite literally NEVER let me down. We typically order here for lunch and have several orders. Good tacos, great avocado salsa verde, delicious mango water. BUT Extremely rude customer service from mother/daughter employees everytime we order. 80% of the time when we order as a group at least 1-2 orders come wrong or spilled in the bag. Today tops it all - a metal piece was found in someone's nachos. When I asked for a total refund, I was hung up on. I had reached out to the other location who was very courteous and kind and handled the issue accordingly. But this was the last straw and we will never order from there again. read more

I never leave Yelp reviews, but I'm starting to now. I don't know how the two locations can be so vastly different but they are. I have been to this location three times, the third being an accident because I said never again after the second time, but Siri decided differently. I LOVE the Alpharetta location, everything is seasoned well and delicious. Never had a bad meal there. The three times I've been to the Roswell location I'm disappointed. In order the same dishes and they are so different. How the meat is cooked/seasoned, spice temperature levels, even the chips. Example: ground beef chimichanga. Meat is seasoned so well at Alpharetta location. You can tell by the color of it. At Roswell, it's just cooked beef loaded with way too many onions. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The food was not good at all. I got street tacos, Tlalpeño Soup, and cheese dip. It came out in two seconds and was room temperature. My soup had a huge blob of unmelted cheese. And the soup wasn't even warm. The tacos were so dry and the chicken was like leather when I bit into it. I spotted roaches crawling on the floor when I was eating. And then two minutes later, there were roaches crawling on the walls right next to wear I was eating. I was so disgusted and left. We've wanted to try Mr. Taco for quite some time since moving to Roswell and finally did recently. The service was awesome to begin with and everyone was awesome. The food was amazing. We ordered the molcajete and it was delicious. They brought me some of the goat to try and it was delicious as well. The salsa bar had some delicious salsas and there were a lot of choices to pick from. We'll definitely be back and look forward to it. read more

I'm very happy with the quality of the food--and a great value, too. The menu has plenty of options and they are happy to customize orders. We've been getting take-out during the COVID-19 social-distancing and on our last visit we got our big family dinner here with lots of different dishes and various heat levels of salsa. Everything was ready on time, delicious, and generous portions. I'm not often in the mood for Mexican cuisine because I've encountered plenty of mediocre establishments, but this is a pleasant exception that has won me over. read more

Food was A+ came out fast and it was CHEAP! The prices here are awesome! My wife had the steak torta and I had the chix torta both A+ and the guac was niiiceeeeee! They have a good selection of salsa on the bar all fresh. Funny how we found this place we were about to have lunch at elle pollo loco and when we pulled in they were closed out of business! Mr. Taco is located next to a Chevron gas station but don't be deterred because of this because the food is really good. I have ordered from Mr. Taco multiple times and this is my favorites: -Tlalpeño Soup (Small is $5.99/large is $7.99) = This is my favorite soup so far because how all the ingredients go so well together. Place looks nice food was good. went in today with my family and they were busy and struggling. There was a line as soon as I come in and busy as they were one of the girls in the cashier is making out with her bf. Knowing there's a line she made time to show her affection in front of everyone not very profesional. Girl at the bar looked lost and couldn't welcome people or anything. Despite ordering cheese dip and $1.50 ala carte chips my order had no tortilla chips at all. Nothing to eat the cheese dip with and nothing to eat the salsa with. Most restaurants provide at least 1 small bag of tortilla chips with your meal. This place didn't provide any despite purchasing extra and ordering cheese dip. Not a good first try at Mr.Taco. Would likely never order here again. The food was 8/10, but my order was incomplete making that 8/10 a 3/10. There is no reason for me to give this place a 2nd chance. read more

This is our go to spot for lunch when I'm working in Roswell. In order to have the best experience at Mr. Taco, its all about what you order. Highlights: -The salsa bar is AMAZING. Every salsa is fresh and tasty with different levels of spice to please everyone. A basket of chips is a dollar at Mr. Taco, but to me it is worth it to get so many sauces and salsas. -It is so. dang. cheap. I rarely spend more than $6 here and leave full and satisfied. -They're beef and vegetarian options stand out as delicious. The few reasons why I can't give Mr. Taco five stars are because their chicken is dry and not very flavorful and sometimes it's hotter than Hades in there and you wish they would crank up the air conditioning. I opted for something easy the first time out - soup and the beef enchilada. The flavors are rich and well-rounded. Also, crazy filling. So much chicken in the soup and the enchilada was crazy packed with beef. The enchilada is topped with tons of cheese, but is not swimming in grease. The typical trimmings come along - beans and rice, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Everything is good, but the enchilada is really the star. The chips are fresh and crispy and the sauce bar has a good assortment. The place always has people coming and going of all kinds. There is nothing fancy going on here, but they don't need it. I first ate at Mr. Taco in July 2009, but never wrote a review for the restaurant and had mostly forgotten about it. It wasn't until a more recent lunch trip I realized I'd been here once before. This casual Mexican restaurant, located on the backside of a CVS on Holcomb Bridge Road, looks like it's been through a facelift since my first visit years ago. It's sort of a cross between an Americanized Mexican restaurant and an authentic taqueria, though more of the former. There are two Mr. Taco locations: this one in Roswell and a location in Alpharetta. The restaurant has a fast-casual setup where you stand in line to order (wall menu), take a number/seat, and wait for a server to bring the food to your table. It's not a sit-down place. The modestly sized dining area contains a collection of small booths and tables, each with its own roll of paper towels, and a couple TVs situated on either end of the space. The lunch menu features typical Mexican combo plates like the "Speedy Gonzalez" (taco, enchilada, rice/beans) and other various combinations of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, chiles rellenos, chimichangas, taquitos, etc. They have fajitas, served hot and sizzling on the plate. One of my tablemates ordered the lunch fajitas and they looked (and smelled) fantastic. The lunch specials are a great deal, each priced $7-8 or less. I ended up going with authentic Mexican-style tacos which consist of meat atop soft tortillas with a smattering of freshly chopped cilantro and white onion. The tacos are standard size and cost about $2 each. There are about a dozen different meats to choose from including fish and shrimp. I went with carne asada (steak), lengua (beef tongue), chorizo (pork sausage), and cochinita pibil (marinated pork). The tacos were tasty. My favorite was the cochinita pibil. The pork is slow-roasted and is prepared with a flavorful marinade that has hints of sweetness and tanginess. It's tender too. The carne asada and lengua weren't bad. Even though the meat was a bit tough, I found the steak taco to be satisfying enough. The tongue had appetizing texture and consistency. I was disappointed in the chorizo. The small chunks of sausage were excessively fatty and greasy. I really like the salsa bar. There's about a half-dozen different kinds of salsa including pico de gallo, tomatillo (red and green), and arbol. I sampled most of them and a few packed quite a punch heat-wise. The salsas were generally fresh. I also liked the guacamole sauce, delicious whole roasted green jalapeno peppers, and crisp radish slices. Mr. Taco has torta sandwiches too. Another person at our table ordered one and it looked pretty good -- toasted, flaky bun with plenty of filling. If I ever come back here, I'd seriously consider getting one.
