These guys do Quality work on a consistent basis. I have been going to these guys for 10 years now and they do a great job every time. They have tinted 4 of my cars and numerous other cars of my friends and family. My only recommendation is as follows: -if you have a darker color interior (grey, black, etc) the Classic series or pinnacle series work fine. -However, if you have a tan interior... spend the extra money and get the COMFORT series. The tint has a slightly brownish hue to it when looking from the inside of the vehicle out and it looks much better than the charcoal color of the Classic series. This is specifically for tan interior vehicles though. If you ask them, they dont say the colors are different, but I had them test them on my car and the Comfort series is definitely the way to go with a tan interior. Cant beat Mr. Tint!!! read more

Never been to the Vista location, but the guy running the Escondido location is somewhat of a prick. There are a bunch of reviews that say that the service is poor, or that they are over booked, but I just have to add that for a person in the service industry they guys here really don't seem to like to deal to their customers. One guy in particular was very short and unfriendly. Almost as if I were bothering him by telling him that my window tint was bubbling. If I wasn't promised a life time warranty when I paid over $400 to tint the windows in my car, I wouldn't expect as much from him. He acknowledged that the work had been done by him personally, but if I don't have the receipt he was going to charge me to fix it. The lack of service after the sale was disappointing. I'm pretty happy with by tint, my old tint started to bubble up and come off, its been like that for a while. I was tired of seeing it like that, so I finally had it fixed. Mr. Tint removed my old tint and installed new, it took about 4 hours for the work to be done, there were a few other cars ahead of me. They charged me around $310, I believe that was a fair price. I recently bought a car at Discount Auto Gallery and the tint job on my 2012 black beauty was less than perfect. I figured I would just live with it (I mean really, who needs to actually see out the back window), but JJ (with the Auto Gallery) recommended Mr. Tint, and offered to make an appointment for me. I decided to come in a few days later and get my tint redone, and I couldn't be happier. All the windows are now the same color, not peeling, and I can actually see out of them! They even stayed 30 minutes past closing time to finish my car- that's pretty amazing; if I was working there, I would definitely be tempted to tell the customer to just pick up the next day. To be completely honest, I've never tinted the windows of a car before, so I'm not sure how their prices compare, but I felt pretty happy with the amount I paid. Mr. Tint has become a stable for the highest quality window tint in San Diego for awhile now. They are the only certified FormulaOne tint installer in San Diego. FormulaOne is made by Llumar, one of the top tint manufactures in the world (3M and HuperOptics come close but can't match the performance with 3M being way too marked up for a well known brand and HuperOptics being really thick and originally meant for buildings). Anyway, enough of the background, I usually visit the Mr. Tint in Vista which was previously run by a great guy named Ray who is now gone unfortunately :( One day, I noticed that my driver's side window tint had scratches and some minor defects that were starting to show so I decided to call in and see if I can have it redone. I called my usual location in Vista but was told they were all booked for the next day and recommended I try the Escondido location which I was able to schedule an appointment to bring my car in and have them look at the damage. The next morning, I brought the car in to get the damage checked out and it was decided that it might have just been a defective piece of tint and I was able to have it redone the same day in the afternoon. It's good that there's a lifetime warranty on the tint because between my personal cars and friends' cars that I have recommended go there for tint, it was the first time I've seen scratches considering I also ordered the moleskin when I initially had my car tinted to help prevent scratches. I'm definitely a happy customer for the great job Mr. Tint does on all my vehicles and my friends' who I always recommend take their cars to Mr. Tint. In addition, I'm very satisfied with Mr. Tint for standing behind their product and fixing my problem even though it was warranty and they would not make as much money as a whole new tint job. My daughter and I had our cars tinted on July 2, 2013, using a Groupon special and we were very happy and satisfied with the tinting. The guy who did it was extremely nice and helpful. I wanted to give a huge shout out to Sonny and his team. Yesterday, i had a tint replaced in a rear passenger window, looks awesome. I also asked Sonny to remove a tinted wrap that was covering my rear lights. This was a bear of a job and caused Mr. Tint a good deal of grief. The wrap left a sticky residue on the lenses. Got a quote beforehand and once I arrived I was told it would be 100 dollars more then the quoted price because the tint I wanted is not included in the price given.
