While I was at work, I got a notification that my tire pressure was low. I refilled it at a gas station, and a 15 minutes later the light came on again. So I slid over into this location of Mr. Tire and asked if they could look at it. I was the only customer so the nice man got my car on the lift right away and showed me there was a screw in the tire. He also explained why it was in a spot that couldn't simply be patched. I said I wasn't comfortable getting a whole new tire at that moment, and he said he said that was fine. Pumped me in with more air, said he'd overinflate it so I could get home, and didn't charge me anything for taking a look. I appreciated the help and honesty. read more

I was told that they don't replace tires by the guy at the front desk tonight, with a name like Mr. Tire, I figured replacing tires would be something they did. Waste of my time, go somewhere that actually can replace tires. "Do you have fix a flat?" *Scoff* "No we don't have that" Well I mean you don't really have anything at this point, what exactly is the point of your company again? Are you Mr. Oil? Mr. Transmission? Today Mr. Tire disappointed me for the second time in three months. I had an appointment at 10:30 AM at the Pulaski Hwy location to buy two new rear tires for my car. When I arrived, I was told it would be some time before I could get service as there was only one technician on duty and the other would not be in until 12:30. When I stated I had an appointment, I was told that if I called the general customer service number (667-304-0468) I did not have an appointment at this particular location. So essentially, I was a walk-in customer. The customer service rep stated in our discussion that my appointment was confirmed for today and a follow-up text message and email were sent confirming the appointment. Why does customer service schedule appointments for services and not relay that appointment information to the local facility in question or forward your call to your service location so you can make the appointment. A few months ago I needed a new set of tires for my Nissan Altima. I did some shopping around for the best price. The local Mr. Tire in Catonsville, Maryland had the best prices that I could find advertised. I called them and I was able to make a same day appointment and got the tires the same day. The store manager Aaron was extremely helpful and courteous. Several months have now passed and the tires that Aaron recommended have held up great in all weather conditions - snow, ice, rain, highway and city driving. His suggestion of Yokohama tires was an excellent suggestion. Great tires. Great experience. I recommend this Mr. Tire location. I have had several other great service experiences here. Thank you to the store manager Aaron! This location has lots of parking available. It is very neat and clean inside with restrooms for customers. Very conveniently located. I'm not sure what to say. It took 4 days (then one extra because I was missing lug nuts and didn't want to be driving around) to get my tire replaced, I paid out of pocked for a rental because I had no choice, I never received a call once from this place. Within that time frame I called 23 times trying to get answers about my car. I work full time and go to school full time, the money and time wasted really hurt me financially. While everyone was 'nice' I just felt totally taken advantage of. I would not recommend anyone coming here....ever. I don't really want to go into any more details than that since I'm still having a hard time recovering from this. My car was mistakenly towed here, and I should have paid for a tow truck to tow it somewhere else...lesson learned. read more

brought the car in because I thought there might be a nail in the tire. I was getting an alert on the dash. took the pressure myself and the back tire was lower than the rest. this was a new tire that was put on a month and a half ago. after they finished and I get in the car, I noticed there are some things missing. I talk to the manager he confronts the guys in the back...twice. of course nobody knows what I'm talking about. also, I'm not even sure there was a nail because any time work is done on a tire in my car You have to reset the sensor but the sensor light was no longer on. The guys at the shop couldn't have done it because you have to press it in and it goes off and then it has to be driven for a half an hour. I called this location and was told that I could get same day mounting and balancing for a set of tires I had purchased elsewhere and to swing by. I arrived around 2:15pm and was told to come back for an appointment at 4pm. When I returned at 4pm to drop off my truck, the manager told me "on second thought," that he may not be able to get done until the next morning because he "wanted to make sure the job is done right." He said that he would do his best and let me know that evening before 6pm either way. A bit frustrating, but I understand, things happen. At 5:45 (15 minutes before closing), I still had not heard back from them so I decided to call and see if the truck was done or not. They informed me that it wasn't done but would be by 11am the next day. Again, frustrating they never let me know and I had to call, but nothing worth writing a review over. What IS worth writing a review over is the above, plus the fact that when I arrived to pick up my truck the following day at 1pm, a whole 2 hours after they had said it would be done, they hadn't even started the work. In the end, after reading other reviews and going through my own experience, I feel like I dodged a real bullet by not having this team work on my truck. If the most basic time and expectation management skills are lacking, I wouldn't trust this group to manage the simplest of wrenching. Do yourself a favor and save your time and money by avoiding this location (and for me, brand altogether now) because they are sure to waste it. read more

I called last week to schedule an appointment for today to replace my front right tire. The staff member asked for the details of my vehicle so they could have a tire ready. Great. Today, not only was the gentleman at the front desk borderline incompetent, but when it came time to replace the tire they -- whoops -- didn't have the tire in stock. I wasted an hour and then just went to J's Discount Tire 10 mins away and got taken care of for $75 in just fifteen minutes. read more

I had my car inspected for routine maintenance and this service center location found problems with the emissions system. Since they said they could handle the issue, I scheduled the next appointment to have it fixed. Easy peasy cover squirrel. I then took my car in to have the previously mentioned issue repaired. Nine hours later and they didn't address the issue they claimed to have fixed. I don't enjoy wearing the tin foil conspiracy hat, but it seems that all they did was reset the check engine light without making any actual repairs. I do not recommend this service center. read more

I went to Mr. Tire for the first time to get over $1800 worth of work done. Allen was the store manager and he was a great help. Less than two months later I hear this rattling and had no idea what it was. Took the car to the closest mechanic because I was scared that it was going to break down. They told me that the rear right mount was no longer attached to the car and that the bolts was broken off. I immediately took my car back to Mr. Tire because it was now a safety issue and also was supposed to be covered under the warranty.The mechanic had no idea what could have caused the break and had never seen that before. Instead of them possibly taking accountability for what happened...I was told that it wasn't covered under the warranty and to fix it was going to cost an additional $487. Why would I give you more money to mess up my car again. District Manager Shawn Patterson just happened to show up and was very condescending and no help at all. Never had these type of problems with a mechanic shop. I will go back to my old mechanic. I don't care how much they go up in price. Dealing with Mr. Tire is just not worth it. read more

I've always had the worst experience coming here. I literally had to come back 3 TIMES because the technician didn't have the part to take off my break pads. They told me they did and when I get there, it was some excuse as to why they didn't have the part. Then they didn't align my axels at ALL so my ride was super shaky. They "claimed" they took it out for a test run to make sure it was good but obviously THAT was a lie. I guess maybe because I was a female, they thought I was too dumb to realize something was wrong with my car. I was coming from 50miles away each time to receive this awful service because I was told they were really good. Save your time and money and go to a reputable mechanic who KNOWS what they are doing because it seems like this Mr. Tire hires anyone who claims they know about cars to work here. read more

SCAM Alert! Here is the story: I had my brake work done in this store at the end of July. The cost estimate that was given to me at store was $400.76. I applied for the 6 months interest free financing through their store brand credit card "Drive Card" in store. It was approved and I was sent away and was told that I'll receive the credit card in mail. After a few weeks, when I checked my new credit card's statement, I saw a $682.38 charge on my Drive Card for the brake work that was supposed to be $400.76. I disputed the charge. Meanwhile, I realized that the paper which was given to me at the end of the transaction was a copy of the estimate and not the actual invoice, which I had not noticed at the time that I was at store given that it looks very similar to an invoice. This was a telltale that this is likely a planned scam. Now they have responded to the bank dispute by saying that they cannot find any estimate for $400.76 in their system. Funny thing is that I have a copy of that estimate that Mr. Tire claims does not exist!!! Anyways, I have sent that copy back to my bank and will await their response. I am planning to pursue this by any means that is available to me, not just because of my stolen couple of hundred bucks, but to make sure this will not happen to other customers. read more

Told they were short handed but my ticket was next up so I waited another 45 minutes only to find the car still hadn't moved. I ended up at this Mr. Tire after going to their competition across the street. Horrible service at the unnamed competition, fantastic service here at Mr. Tire. My truck had a recent flat and after changing it I wanted to see if the flat tire was able to be repaired. Upon arrival at Mr. Tire I was greeted immediately even though I could tell they were very busy. The gentleman who greeted me came right out to my truck to inspect the tire to see if it could be repaired. We found what we thought was a nail hole (oops) and the gentleman said it could be repaired. As they were busy and I did not have an appointment, I was informed that my wait time may be up to 2 hours but they would fit me in as soon as possible. After a 45 minute wait, the same gentleman came to get me. He explained that my tire had been in their dunk tank for 30 minutes and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. The nail hole we had seen turned out to be a previous repair. Apparently I drive over a lot of nails. What made this trip worthy of 5 stars is what happened next. The gentleman showed me my tire in their dunk tank, there were no air bubbles that would show air escaping from the tire. The tire was replaced back under my truck and I was ready to go. No charge. Not only did they not charge me for the service of checking the tire, the employee did not try and up-sell me into getting a new tire. I really respect and appreciate that. Having worked a different type of retail job for many years, I'm used to the employees trying to up-sell or at least get something for their time they spent with me. The fact that this gentleman did not try that raised this company higher in my opinion. They've earned my repeat business, not that I plan on driving over any nails any time soon. I wish I had paid attention better so I could compliment the gentleman who helped me by name, but I was just so impressed with his service it slipped my mind. The only thing positive I have to say about my experience with this Mr. Tire location: They ordered the correct set of tires that I needed, which were not in stock... very quickly, so if you need a certain type of tire they can get it for you in a few hours. Now my review is for the service. My complaints: Problem #1: I waited for a little over TWO hours for the technician to install, mount and balance my tires plus an alignment. Yes I had an appointment. The waiting room feels like a freezer and smells like chemicals... so milling around inside and outside a tire place for TWO hours is like theee last place I want to be. (-1 star for SLOW service in the middle of a weekday) Problem #2: Maybe its wrong to expect the technician: 1) to wipe the tires clean (some tire shine would be nice too bud), and 2) take care of your clients *ish... meaning don't scratch your clients alloy wheels, and clean up the grease/whatever solution that attached itself to every single wheel when you laid them on the ground... geez talk about high expectations! *blank stare*. Yes, maybe I should have walked back in and mentioned this to the technician, but I was a tinge bit annoyed and just ready to go. I don't think that I should have to mention this in the first place. Vinegar and a nice firm scrubbing took that grease solution right off my wheels. (-1 star for ignoring basic customer service... clean up after and don't mess up my *ish.) Problem #3: This is why I came back to write this review. I can get over the first two problems, but this one not so much. So the day before yesterday, I see a bare stud... no lug nut or wheel lock! Stop playin.... no I'm serious. Lol. So it appears that the technician failed to secure my wheel lock correctly and it flew off probably as I was driving somewhere. And since I don't go to the other side of my car often, I'm not sure how long I was driving with a missing lug nut. So I made sure to go elsewhere and have them put one of my lugs on my tire while I order a replacement wheel lock, and I had them make sure everything else was tightened and torqued correctly. I definitely didn't trust going back to this location since they didn't do the job right in the first place. Replacing a wheel lock is cheap, but its an inconvenience and most importantly I'm really not a fan of not having a wheel lock while I wait on a replacement... thieves steal expensive tires. Every 2-3 months I was refilling the air in my tires so I brought my car in in April to get the tire patched; which they did even though they said they couldnt actually find the leak because it was a slow leak. But they patched it anyways and charged me for it. Fast forward 2 months later and right on schedule I have to refill the air in my tires again which means they never fixed the problem. So i drop it off and they said they will call me when its done. I have no idea what Im doing when it comes to cars so I figured that after 4+ hours my car would be done so i went back to pick it up, it wasnt so i still waited about 45 min. They apologized for taking so long and said they replaced the part on the tire where the cap for the air screwes into ( I forget what its called) to see if that would help with the leak and then didnt charge me which was nice. Fast forward one month later and now my tires are loosing air even faster than before so I took it to the Honda dealer because I didnt trust Mr. Tire anymore, who said that they wouldnt able to work on the tires until I took it back to Mr. Tire because they put my wheel back on incorrectly and if they took it off they were afraid it would rip the bolt out. So I took it to Mr Tire to fix and dropped it off around 2pm, they kept it overnight without telling me ( again Im not familiar with car stuff so I dont know it thats normal). They next day I had to keep calling because there was a different crew and no one knew what was going on. I finally get my car back after having to call all day since no one was getting back to me when they said they would. Sure enough they did rip the bolt off of the wheel so then they had to replace the wheel lock for all my tires. Now it looks kind of cheap. I didnt realize the aesthetic implications of having to replace that part with their generic parts but I am not happy with how it looks. All in all Im just not happy with how unorganized this location is, they seem understaffed and have poor communication which leads to issues. Their work is rushed and at times seemingly incompetent. In the end I do appreciate them fixing their mess ups for free but it also shouldnt have escalated to this in the first place. It just blows my mind that this whole thing started over needing to get a simple tire patch. read more

I was referred to this particular Mr. Tire shop by another shop about one mile closer to the city of Baltimore. I was referred to this shop because they had the alignment machine needed for vehicles with larger wheels. I had my front wheels hubs and tire rods replaced by a garage in Baltimore. I purchased the best "Moog" parts and had a garage where a friend of mine worked install them because they had the best price for installation. After they finished installing them I watched a guy align my wheels with a string tied from bumper to bumper. I now see why their price is so good. I said that is not good enough for my standards so I will take my car to a place that has the proper alignment tool. This is how I ended up at Mr. Tire, 6332 Baltimore National Pike. I gave them my car and everything appeared to be professional. I picked my car up a couple hours later and realized that my steering wheel was no longer centered. I called them and they said just bring it back and we will make adjustments. I took it back to them. This time they needed a bit longer to realign it. When I picked it I was charged $740.52. They said my wheel hubs needed to be replaced. I paid the bill to get my car back and informed them that my wheel hubs had just been replaced. They had many excuses why "the best" wheel hubs went bad after less than a week but I was not trying to hear these excuses. The manager took me to a bin where my old parts where and we both inspected the replaced hubs. We could clearly see they were new and not damaged. He then gave me his disclaimer that he was not present when the mechanics diagnosed my car and he would send the hubs back to Moog for me to get a refund on the part. I was not happy with that answer but I did not want to argue with him and decided to contact the franchise to voice my opinion. When I finally got a copy of my receipt I contacted the customer service number. It was strangely named Monroe Brakes and tires or something like that. The woman who answered my call immediately started an argument with me and said I received payment from Moog thus agreeing to the terms. I do not remember receiving any payment from Moog and I am sure I did not sign any paper agreeing to any terms. Therefore this truthful horrible review. In the mean time that fast talking manager has been replaced. Please take your car to any other garage. The guy who aligned my wheels with the string did a better job than these guys. IJS read more

I am *next in line* the lady says, who recognizes it is a half and hour past my original completion time. Yes, thank you for wasting my time. I know it will only take you 15 minutes to change my oil, instead you've been busy scamming other customers out of more money, who were here for the 19.99 special. It would have only taken me 1hr, if I had a lift. Way to keep new customers. And you guys and gals working the front desk..you come off as being people oriented, but one of you knew I was waiting inside, and failed to inform me of any changes in my wait time. also, please listen to me when I arrive and make specific statements regarding my unlikely need for a tire rotation. Would rate 0 stars if it were an option. Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation and was told it would be ready in 45 minutes. I returned 7 hours later, saw it was still on the jack, and waited another 30 minutes before it was ready. The next day I heard a sound on the highway as if the driver's side front wheel was wobbling. I proceeded to pull over and saw that every lug but one was loose - I was able to put about 3 full rotations on each. Terrible service and incredibly dangerous neglect. after some dickwad threw a box of razor blades in the street popping our tires, we needed an emergency fix. we were heading to the beach the next day and the roadside assistance barely put on the goddamn spare tire. after we made it to mr. tire without dying, they attempted to fix the shredded one before offering a new tire. which they installed in about 10 minutes. throw on some nice service, and you might as well pop your tires on purpose. read more
