The guy said he couldnt because it was too close to the sidewall of the tire, which was fine as I had been to 4 other shops in the area and they told me all the same thing. So I asked if they had anything in stock to replace it. The guy at the counter said they only a directional Yokohama tire in stock but could order something cheaper if I wanted but would have to wait. I couldn't wait since the tire was not maintaining a stable air pressure and the alarm in my car would keep going off. So I agreed to replace it with whatever they had. Only had to wait 30 minutes. Was in and out super fast. The waiting area though is PATHETIC. Flat out shitty but thank god I was only there for a few. The price included everything of mounting balancing etc... At first I was kind of weary about the price but after looking online even at the cheaper tires... it would've came out about the same (after shipping, mounting, balancing, disposal, etc..) so I'm content with the price. Over all, pretty legit I read through a couple of the reviews before posting this. Not sure why the hell anyone would come here for an oil change, alignment, or anything other than TIRES. read more

Just had 4 new tires put on my car due to construction waste on the highway.... The price was good in comparison with other vendors and the service was excellent. The Service Coordinator and Service Provider was Armani and he did a great job with a pleasant demeanor in spite of having to manage front and back of the store. We have always received good service here. I don't question the bad reviews on this site, but they do not reflect our experience. Yes...sometimes the exact tires we want are not in stock and, yes... sometimes the delivery of these items from the warehouse is not as timely as we would hope. But that is not under the control of this shop. They do what they can do with the resources they have. I always pay extra for the road hazard insurance and, unfortunately, seem to always end up using it. Worth the extra money in my opinion. read more

Under new management. I preferred the old management which I and my family dealt with for many years. They were helpful and accommodating. At this location, a young man claimed to be the manager but he did not know enough about tires to help me and consequently lost a sale. Research shows that the 2019 Subaru Forester tire well in the trunk is large enough to accommodate a regular tire instead of the donut tire that comes with the car; Subaru wants to save money by providing a less expensive donut tire. However, I wanted to buy a brand new regular-sized tire to get rid of the donut. I was willing to buy a wheel at the Subaru dealer and bring it myself if Mr Tire could not arrange to get one on which to mount the tire. Mr Manager had to mansplain to the little old lady (me) that a regular size tire would not fit in my trunk. He was incapable from querying the computer he sat at to look it up and was too busy (lazy?) to get up from his chair and walk out to the car to see for himself. I ended up going elsewhere and, when they heard my request, they honored it without hesitation. In the next few months I will be buying all new tires for the car and, because of the way they operate, I will not be buying them at Mr Tire. For some reason I can not post the picture of it here, but I do have photographic evidence of a regular tire in my Subaru Forester trunk. I came here to get my tires changed and because of the "good reviews" I was so disappointed, SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!!!!! The guy working Friday 4/7 afternoon was already moving slow and his attitude was horrible when he came outside to check my tires. My car was done and they never told me, I'm seating in the waiting area like an idiot and when I asked the guy from the new shift how much longer for my car to be done he said "I think is done". Came to realize that they didn't take my instructions right. They put my tires on the completely wrong side and the new ones that I asked to be placed in the back were put on in the front. I had what was supposed to be a 4 wheel alignment and tire balancing... this was done in February 2025... since then it has been a series of problems with my tires and the balding on them....I just had to get a new tire in the back on the driver's side because the tire was balding on the outside part of the tire and not across... This caused my car to shake as I drive... The day after the service in Feb, they didn't even notice that my tire had a bubble in it also causing the car to shake when I drove... This also could have caused a tire blow out.. I eneded up getting a brand new tire which was 130.00 ... How did they not see this... the alignment was already 130.00... This is unacceptable.. But 90 minutes later my vehicle hadn't moved, so I went to their front desk to retrieve my keys and no one was around, which did not surprise me since the phone rang numerous times and no one answering any of the calls. I brought my car in for one tire to be changed, I was fine that they charged me $410 for one michelin pilot sport 4 all season tire, but then when I came back to pickup my car my gut told me to check the new O.Z wheels I just got a few days ago and low and behold the lip of the new wheel that I just got, is scratched up and f*cked up, excuse my french but I'm a freshman in college and I do not have money to get my wheels refinished or repaired everytime I go get my tire changed. Totally unacceptable. There's also a curbmarkish scratch on the side. If you could see there's still some metal shavings on it. Meaning it just happened after they replaced the tire. Absolutely terrible. Made an appointment for 5:00 and received a confirmation via text to get my tire patched due to a nail being lodged in the top. Arrived at 4:50 and was told the mechanic had already left for the day. The man at the front was not friendly and told me I should have called instead of using the online appointment system and did not offer any other solutions. We took our car in first thing yesterday morning to have the tires rotated, the brakes checked and to get an oil change in anticipation of having our daughter drive to school in Florida. When they called an hour later, we were told that not only were our tires going bad because we needed an alignment, but that we needed new brakes. They also said our oil had been changed. We declined further service and went to pick up the car. When we got there at 10:45, we had to wait while it was taken off the lift. While my husband waited in the lobby, he was extremely uncomfortable by the way staff treated a woman in front of him. She was disputing a charge of $1200 when she was told her estimate was $600. The staff treated her very poorly, rolling their eyes and making her wait to the side. We assume it was because of her accent. When we got the car 20 minutes later, we were assured the oil had been changed and paid $97. We drove straight to a reputable mechanic nearby (about a mile away) who told us that not only did we not need an alignment, but that our brakes were FINE! We picked it up and drove home. My husband had a hunch and checked the oil. It looked dirty. We drove back to the mechanic and he confirmed - not only had our oil NOT been changed, neither had our filter. It was falling apart in his hands. (I wish I could post pictures here - it is startling to see!) My husband drove directly back to Mr. Tire. He hardly started relaying the story when Jeff said he would give us a refund. We were of course expecting that, but wanted an apology for the dangerous position we had been put in - we almost sent our daughter 900 miles away in a car we thought was safe. Jeff couldn't understand why my husband was upset when we had gotten our money back. He said to call the number on the wall and talk to corporate if we were upset. He wouldn't tell us how to contact his boss, Dave. Only saying that Dave would contact us. He did get a little nicer and told us they were having employee problems, but only AFTER Steve suggested that we would tell this story on social media. We have purchased at least 4 sets of tires from this location over the last 15 years and have never had a problem - at least not that we know of! My horrible experience was at MR. Tire store #722 Baltimore National Pike Ellicott City, Maryland. Initially, I had an appointment for four tires to be changed. My appointment was on a Saturday at 1:00 p.m. I arrived at 12:45 p.m. to learn that the service could not be done because someone called out sick that morning. In understanding that, why wasn't I called BEFORE I drove there to have my appointment rescheduled? If you have been there, then you have met PAM (African American female). Who makes a strong attempt to come off as nice, however, she is very condescending when speaking to customers. And please don't ask her for any information, because she KNOWS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Pam took ownership that she should have called, but that was it. So my appointment was rescheduled for the next day Sunday at 11 a.m. I arrived early and something told me to TAKE PICTURES OF ALL FOUR OF MY TIRES AND RIMS. Lucky for me I did. After the service was done, I drove home, less than five minutes to discover that ALL FOUR OF MY RIMS WERE DAMAGED!!!! I immediately drove back to Mr. Tire and advised Pam. The only thing that she told me was to call the District Manager Carl Hammond. I told her that she may want to take pictures of the damage. She reluctantly came outside just snapped two pictures, but NOT of the damage. A short time later Fred came to the lobby as he was the one who performed the work. Fred I have to say was nice. Fred actually took ownership that the damage was caused by the "bead." Fred also said to call Carl Hammonds and that they had Travelers insurance. And that Carl would have the policy number. Fred also told Pam to come back outside and take pictures of the damage. I did call Carl Hammond and explained to him what happened. I left a few messages, before he returned my call. He did acknowledge that it was the bead, and initially directed me to call Alloy Wheels. The rep. at Allow wheels advised that it would be $240.00 per rim and that the car would have to remain there for FIVE days!!! I made Carl aware then he advised my that he would file a claim with Travelers. I also had been in contact with their corporate company MONRO. You call them prepare to be on hold for a very long time. It took MANY calls to MONRO. Filing several complaints through MONRO. In an effort to finally get some form of action. This process took over TWO weeks!!! WHY?? I have no idea. But I do know that they were responsible and were going to pay to have my rims replaced/repaired. Finally, an adjuster came over to see the damage. Of course it was in my favor and now I am in the process of getting the repairs. Folks the name of the place is MR. TIre, wouldn't one think that, that is what they do? Change tires? I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. MONRO offered to send me a coupon of sorts for $30,00 off a service there. THAT WILL GO IN THE TRASH. DON"T GO THERE!!!! If there was a ZERO on the stars scale, I would have used it. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! Went in to get a new tire, as mine had blown up the day before. Standard transaction until I saw the bill, and then a week later when I realized they filled my tire to 55 when the recommended is 32. I mean how in god's name are you going to fill a tire to 55?!??!?!?! Looked at the bill and they had something on there for a lifetime guarantee for a number of things, one being TPMS. Of course my TPMS was still on when I left and stayed on. Obviously not taken care of. Never was asked if I wanted this "lifetime guarantee". Just was put on my bill. The tire pressure filled to 55 just pisses me off. How does that happen? There is a reason this store is rated so low. After 1 hour (45 minutes past appointment time), car was still in front of store. Only 1 other car was in lot. Asked for keys back and left. Horrible service. Went here 5 months ago for a wheel alignment. Came back today after my car kept pulling to the left. Dropped the car off at 1130 (noon appointment) for another alignment they told me would take an hour. I ended up calling them at 3:51p.m. (10 mins before they close) and they said "Oh yeah your car is pulling up now, all set." Go to pick up the car and asked for the wheel alignment spec sheet (pretty standard for a wheel alignment), they said they forgot to print. Didn't get this the first time I came either so insisted I get it this time; especially since I'm planning to sell the vehicle. They said, "ok, going to have to get the car back on the lift/alignment machine for that. Be about 20 mins." Cool I'll wait. An hour later get my car. Finally, the rep that brought my car back around wasn't wearing a mask. My advice, go somewhere else for a wheel alignment but if you do come here, always tell these guys you want the spec sheet printed or they won't do it. I went online and got a quote for four new tires along with an appointment. The quote was 1199.92 that included 30.99 installation fee per tire. When I got to the store they said my cost would be over $1500. After trying to figure out the cost difference with the Mr. Tire personnel, it was determined that included labor costs not included in the quote. Luckily this was caught before the work was done and so I left. After calling around, no one else charges labor on top of the installation fee. Additionally, when getting quotes from other places it always includes all cost with maybe the exception of taxes. This place is a rip off. read more

I made an appointment with Mr. Tire, 9435 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City MD to repair a tire with a slow leak. I had to add air to the tire every 4 weeks for the past 3 months. Last week it was down to 25 lb pressure. I dealth with the manager, Happy Okogun. First I was told there was nothing wrong with the tire and that the problem was related to the cold morning. I pointed out that the problem began during warm weather. I was then told that a small hold was found and it would be patched. When done, I was told the cost was $53.61. I immediately questioned that but was told that was the "normal" cost. I was not given an invoice but was asked to sign the credit card charge screen. I was then given an invoice that included a $16.49 charge for a TPMS rubber stem which I was not asked if I wanted and had not authorized. The leak in my tire did not involve its existing stem which could have been reused. In addition to the $23.60 charge for the repair with a vulcanized patch, there was also a second flat repair charge of $9.39 for an unknown service and a $3.30 fee for "miscellaneous shop supplies or waste disposal." No supplies were used other than the vulcanized patch which was included in the $23.60 fee and there was no waste for disposal in my case. I contacted the corporate parent of Mr. Tire after I had a chance to review the invoice at home but they said they couldn't do anything about it as the invoice was not yet in the system. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MR. TIRE--they are crooks. Followup Report--I was contacted by Mr. Tire Corporate as result of my review and am being sent a partial refund to cover the overcharge. It does not change the fact that I was overcharged but does show that it pays to complain. read more

While the service is average, I know going in that I have to be ready to confront as they ALWAYS try their best to hike up the bill any which way they can. This Mr Tire location on Baltimore National Pike gives the company a very bad name. It is beyond horrible. The two managers, Serge and Nate are liars, belligerent, argumentative, irresponsible, and incompetent, They slandered me in public and all the customers came out to see what was going on. They refuse to process a refund owed to me for $380.00 for 5 weeks now. Every time I go in and ask,, they yell, tell me to get out, lie that it is being processed, say they lost the documents needed to process my refund etc. Incredible, they add up my bill wrong, charge me for services not agreed to or disclosed, over charge me for an oil change I had a coupon for and agreed to a price, and now refuse to process the refund. They sold me a service I did not need which were shocks The shocks put in were wrong and made my car dangerous to drive due to bouncing and banging when I go over the small crack in the road. The other night coming home from work i was in an accident because of the shocks they put in. I lost control and went onto the shoulder of the road. They tell me the district manager says all these horrible things about me to them, and to tell me to stop calling, corporate is also of no help. Stay away do not go to them, awful. I made an appointment and was told that the tire I needed was in stock. I was priced about $175. When I arrived I was told he would be around $ 350 because "you need an alignment when you install a new tire". I am no mechanic but I know better, this is not my first rodeo. I declined and I honestly should have left then. I was then told it would take about 1 hour. After an hour and half, I asked for an update. They said they did not have the tire in stock. 1. I went to them a few months ago for a low air pressure on one of my tires. They checked it and said they could not find anything. (I had bought all 4 tires from Mr Tire a short while ago.) They tried to sell me the alignment service and other services, which I did not need. When I got home, the tire pressure was still low and they had not bothered to reinflate it. When I called them they said that they did the reinflation and I must have a 'slow leak'. I immediately took my car to a gas station and reinflated it, and the tire pressure has been fine for over 2 months. 2. I called them today to have my snow tires mounted, which I bought from Mr Tire a couple of years ago, and they have been mounting them in winter and then changing them in spring to regular tires for me. Today Serge refused , stating that they don't do this! When I told him that I had it done there last winter, he said that the "previous management did that, but the present management does not" Very poor service, lying about everything. NEVER EVER TRUST MR TIRE. Bought a mid priced set of tires for a high mileage car just over a a year ago. Mr Tire salesperson recommended Kelly Edge and I bought them. Went in today 7/28 to have a blown tire repaired. The tire genius at the counter told me that two tires needed replacing. He measured the remaining tread by running a finely tuned measuring tool (his hand) across the tire and then offered a $120 prorated discount on a new set of tires. So Mr Tire recommends junk and then tries to profit a second time by selling you more junk. JUST STAY AWAY. And Mr. Tire, don't post the same lame request to have me call and discuss it.
