When I took my car in for AC service, they found that the condenser was leaking. They replaced it, but in doing so, they took a shortcut that I didn't realize until much later. They sawed off a bracket for the intake to the engine! They also did not completely fill the system with refrigerant. They cheap out and cut corners and that really pisses me off. I knew the did not fill the system completely because when I went to another shop, they said it was low. They added more and put in a dye. Nearly a year later, the AC is still blowing at 41F cold. There is no leak. Mr. Tire cheated me. In the photo, the hole is supposed to have a bolt in it, but the bracket was cut, which is shown at the right side of the image. I tried again after six years only to be further disappointed by this band of idiots. This place has become a total shit show. They say that state inspections are "first come first served" but if you show up 30 minutes before they open and are FIRST you'll discover that 10 people dropped off their vehicles the night before and are in front of you. They also now allow scheduling state inspections online so when you book a day and time you'll show up only to be told "that's a corporate thing". Brought it in for tires, alignment and inspection. They failed my car for having LED headlights yet parked my stick shift car against the curb without pulling the E-Brake, how could a company care so much about LED lighting yet not care about a car rolling away... Minor things to complain about would be they also didn't put my seats back up after taking the tires out of my car. I called ahead on a Sunday morning about a month ago to see if they could fit me in for an oil change. They suggested a time about two hours later, which was perfect since I live in Richond. This is a pure example of brand loyalty. Mr. Tire somehow doesn't have any outposts in RVA. I brought my car to a Mr. Tire in New Jersey for years while I lived there. It took less than half an hour to receive a call that my car was ready to go. They honored an online coupon as well. Staff was friendly (albeit a bit confused that I drove an hour for an oil change). Took a 2014 Kia there for brakes. They were actually well higher than the dealership. They offered to not do some work to get the price lower. Not sure who would choose to skip steps for replacing brakes to save money, or why I would do that not to have the dealer do the work. Fine for tires or an oil change. While on vacation over 700 miles from home we noticed some tire damage at 3pm on a Friday. We took our car to this location since it was the closest and we are so glad we did. Ali from Sierra Leone took great care of us. We purchased two tires and he called us to tell us there was some damage to a rear tire so he rotated the tires so the two new ones were in the front. Requested an appointment online for a state inspection. Received confirmation email. CALLED MORNING OF APPOINTMENT TO CONFIRM TIME AND SERVICE! Arrived to be told I would have to leave my car for the day. Manager then proceeded to tell me there was no way I made the appointment with his location and I didn't call them this morning. I pulled up confirmation email and confirmed location address/phone #. Manager continued to yell at me that I couldn't have made the appointment and no one in his location would have taken my phone call. I eventually tell him to find out who took my call. At this point, the girl I had been talking to before the (self-announced) Manager butted in to yell at me, said she took my call and confirmed my appointment. So I asked, "And you're just going to continue to stand here completely silent?. She responded with, "On my first day, yes." When I did, the same Hispanic front desk guy told me that they couldn't take care of state Inspection today. Went to get my car inspected and found out my tires were shot hardly any tread left which I hadn't noticed I looked everywhere and no one would carry my tire brand. Finally I went to Mr. Tire and they had my tires in stock, all four of them, put them on, balanced, and did a front end alignment as well... I was in and out in a very reasonable time so it was very convenient. Did not know the area so called son-in-law and he took us to a nearby auto service place but they told us they could not help us. Suggested we try one of there other locations down 95 . I love this place!!! I have been going 8+ years. I go for my oil changes (tire rotation free with oil change) and my inspections. I have free inspections through the dealership and still would rather pay to come here. If you can't wait or pick up the same day they will move your vehicle into an empty bay over night so it doesn't get messed with. They have never tried to Force anything on me. One time my kids mom went to get an oil change, and during the tire rotation they noticed she had a huge gash in her tire. Even went as far as sending a picture to my cell phone. I told the sales person we weren't going to purchase a tire there, and there was no fuss. Update: This place has changed a lot and I have stopped going. They want to up-sale you and won't hesitate to have you drop your vehicle off instead of trying their best to fit you in. Mary is fantastic! I called her on Thursday the 1st of July about getting my horse trailer inspected and she was very honest when she stated it depends. She also said that July is a really busy month. The next day I called inquiring about the wait time and was told approximately 1 1/2 hours. I spoke with Mary upon arrival and she restated about 1 1/2 hours. My trailer was done much faster. In fact, I was in a conversation with a fellow customer and they waited for a lull in your conversation to let me know my trailer was done.I am always completely satisfied when dealing with little Tire. I've taken my car there several times and they've always been good. I've had both brake and tire services and their performance is always satisfactory. They've done routine maintenance also with satisfactory results. The quote I got on replacing the emergency brake cable was very high though so I don't understand that and didn't get that done with them. My car is with them now for air conditioning service. I dropped it off late afternoon and got a call a little while later but missed it. I assume they found the problem already. Really disappointed, and surprised by integrity of the store. I was in the need of a new set of tires, I stopped by the Mr. Tire and asked for some recommendations, I was provided some good information on quality and various price ranges and specific brand and model numbers. They said they carried them all and they have a 5% "beat anybody's price". I shopped around at some local competitors. I did find a local competitor and got a written quote that sold one of the suggested tires from my visit to Mr. Tire at a cheaper price than Mr. Tire. I scheduled an appointment with Mr. Tire and presented the information of the exact same brand, model of a local competitor to them, and was told we don't carry that tire (I have a quote from Mr. Tire for that tire), and that they would not price match or beat the competitors price by 5%. In both a quote by Mr. Tire and a general e-mail advertisement, they say they carry all brands, and that they will "beat any price by 5%". Mr. Tire did not Honor their words or actions. I brought my car in for a starter issue. I was told that replacing the starter motor would resolve this problem. The morning after getting my car home, the car would not start and the starter issue that was relatively mild before was replaced by another new and much more significant problem. I brought my car back. They said the problem was resolved. When I went to pick it up, the guy at the front desk asked my name. He searched for my keys, but was not locating them; he asked "no one else picked up your car?" I replied "no". He then says, "well i don't know what to tell you". My unspoken reaction is "what do you mean I don't know what to tell you?". He then realized he was searching under my first name instead of last and located the keys. I was concerned with the lack of responsibility and unprofessionalism. When I got to my car, it was unlocked, meaning they left my car unlocked in their parking lot. When I attempted to start my car this time, it did not start, doing the same *new* problem. It was churning, which it never did before and, once it finally did start, my car was shaking--this is also something it did not do before. I returned to the man at the front desk, saying that my car was not starting correctly. When I mentioned it shaking, he responded with "I did notice it was shaking"....why do they believe its acceptable to return a car in worse working condition and one that is shaking? I also brought up that my car was unlocked and I hadn't received a message from anyone saying my car was ready for pickup (I had to call for this); his response was "I always lock the doors and I left you a message". It was clear that neither of these were true, and this was example to the lack of responsibility of this worker and this shop. I pointed to the inconsistency, that when I came outside the door was not locked and also offered to show him my phone history, proving no message was left. I left my car there again. They called back saying they didn't know what the problem was, that they would need to experiment in order to figure it out and that would cost me both parts and labor; this is unacceptable, as my car was being returned to me with *new* problems that clearly resulted from work they did. I requested a refund for the work (even though, it is clear I would have to pay another shop to resolve the problems created by this one, which could cost me more than the refund); I was told that a refund would be requested. I was not able to pick up my car for some time, as I was sick and needed a ride from someone in order to pick up the car and follow me home. I called and spoke to the same front desk person, explaining my delay. I also followed up with him about the refund, stating my expectation that I would be refunded upon arrival, as discussed and wanted to make sure this would be happening. We got off the phone, seemingly to be with understanding. When I went to pick up my car, I was solely handed the key. I said "I am supposed to be getting a refund"; this is again, with the same person I spoke to on multiple occasions. He said "I can't do that, you need to take that up with corporate. We fixed your problem". I was stunned; I said, as I had pointed out on several other occasions, that my problem was not fixed, that I had a *new* and bigger problem, that my car was in worse condition than when I brought it in. Also, that I was told I would be getting a refund; I reminded this person of the various conversations we had previously and asked what had changed, pointing to disturbing inconsistency and various communication issues. He continued to say "we fixed your problem. Talk to corporate." So I am. I have called corporate and will follow up with them in addition to providing my honest review; I will return to this review to offer my feedback for corporate, depending on how they choose to follow-up. While I worked with this Mr. Tire, I have been documenting our conversations and various problems; this recounting is supported by my documentation. I would *in no way* recommend this "mechanic"; it is clear that communication, car, and integrity are not valued here and, as far as I can tell, neither is mechanical competency. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I called the store, stating my tire was flat to the rim. Because I know Mr. Tire sells Yokohama's, I basically asked if they had those in stock. Guy on the phone (Don) says idk, guys you have to come in. Very flat and awkward conversation. I go in later that evening. Don is there. Older guy with the lazy eye. I tell him we spoke on the phone. He says oh, you're the one who can't change a tire. Rude. I tell him I was at work and my insurance company helped out. I tell him I may have a warranty on my tires. I'm looking for the paper that I bought them from Norfolk tread quarters. I call Norfolk. Tell them everything and that I need to verify. Don walks over, give me a number, I ask what it was for. He says fax. I ask if the Norfolk one could fax it. They are doing renovations there and couldn't fax but could email. I ask for Don's email. He says I don't know it and the manager has left for three day so oh well. He goes into the back where the cars are. This was March 11, 2020 at 5pm. He was incredibly rude and had an extreme attitude. I went to the back, and asked a mechanic for my keys back because of the crappy customer service. The mechanic agreed his coworker was no the most pleasant. It's pathetic this guy gets complaints and continues to work there. I brought my vehicle here with a flat tire which I have had issues with for quite some time. I have had the same tire checked twice previously by the dealership, which told me that there were no issues that they could find with the tire. So I decided to come by here to get another opinion and I'm so happy that I did. I was provided with exceptionally friendly service from the door by Milton Miranda. My service technician Mark S. was very friendly as well and thorough about finding my issue and solution. This excellent team did what the dealership failed to twice. I stopped by this Mr. tire to have a tire repaired because I saw that Mr Tire ran a coupon for free tire repair. I talked to the person at the counter and they said that they would have to look at it to see if they could fix it. Once the gentleman saw that the tire had a plug in it they said that they would not touch it. I said I understand if the plug voids the free coupon but I'm willing to pay for the repair. The Gentleman abruptly told me that they would not touch it and just walked away to leave me in the parking lot. I'm fine with the fact that they wouldn't do it because of policy but the way I was treated was just unprofessional! Scheduled an appt last night for today at 10 am for a simple Battery Inspection. Per their site, they offer a free battery and charge inspection. I knew I was in need of an auxiliary battery but wanted the main checked too. Showed up at 940, first bad experience was sitting in the store with no one at the desk for at least 10 min, second bad experience they claimed to not see my appt in the system. I confirmed I had an email confirmation for the appt for this date and time. He tried to give me the run around and said I don't even have those batteries without even looking in the system (or even seeing if I even needed them since an inspection had yet to be done) and then proceeded to tell me no one in this whole area would have them. As I told him I had confirmation at 6 local stores for pickup today in store with free installation so I knew that was not true but wanted to ensure they were needed and have Mr. Tire do them as my husband has been a customer here for years. Again, no bother to look up says I will have to order them from the dealer and that will take a few days to get in. Then asks if I wanted to drop off or wait, I told him I booked the appt as wait since it was just a quick battery inspection and he told me that even though I had an appt, "it was going to be a few hours for that" I laughed and said you know what nevermind Ill just go somewhere else that treats the customer better. NEVER going back there, we have been customers for years and today was a deal breaker for me. Store #1004 at 7007 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22407. Me and my family tend to go to Mr. Tire whenever we have an issue with one of our cars or need to get inspections done. We were so loyal that we were stupid enough to come back after we had new tires replaced and they almost came off! The employee did not tighten it well enough, he only used his hands to tighten it, and it was falling off as my grandfather was driving down the road with a baby in the back seat! Like I said, we were stupid enough to come back. I got my car inspected there 2 weeks ago and they told me I would have to be $1,200 to get it fixed. Hell no. Over-priced. I fixed it myself. I went there today to get it reinspected and they failed me again! On a loose nut, on a part of the car that was not part of the re inspection. They wanted to charge a whole hour of labor to screw it on. I can honestly say that Mr. Tire as a whole has not only lost me as a customer, but my entire circle of family, friends, and anyone I can reach to online. Straighten up.
