I have a nail in one of my tires so I came here again since I bought the tires from here and have the road hazard warranty. The staff is very friendly and helpful and did what was needed without trying to pressure me into anything else. It took awhile to get it completed but it was busy. So they are going to remove the nail and plug the tire. They are even going to rotate the tires for me at no charge. Just another reason I keep coming back here to buy my tires because of the service and no problems handling the warranty. read more

I had a 8am appointment on a Saturday morning. I arrived right at 8am and saw that there were people already waiting and being helped even though they just opened (they must have opened a few minutes earlier). I figured it would be a few hours to get new tires placed on my wife's vehicle since the shop looked so busy. There were a couple of people in front of me in line. Then someone helped me and we went out to the vehicle and did a quick walkaround and look at the tires and he checked me into the system. By the time I was finished talking with the associate it was about 8:10am or so. And he quoted me a time of 8:55am of when all 4 new tires would be replaced on the vehicle and mounted/balanced. I was very skeptical at first since most shops seem to take 1-2 hours to swap out tires. At 8:15am I noticed my vehicle was still in the parking lot. I texted my wife saying that the vehicle most likely would not be ready by the estimated time of 8:55am since it was now 8:15am and I didn't think there was a way to complete the job in 40 minutes. Welp, I was proven wrong and amazed. Right after I texted my wife my vehicle was brought into the shop. The shop worked fast to mount/balance all 4 tires and around 8:35, the mechanic came into the store and told me he is just finishing it up and will pull my vehicle out and bring it into the front. And within a minute or two my vehicle was in the front. So basically from 8:15am to 8:35am was when my vehicle was worked on. Divide that by 4 wheels/tires, that is 5 minutes per wheel/tire! amazingly fast! I joked to my wife saying that I take longer than that to take a dump in the toilet. Very impressive with the customer service and I liked the text messages/reminders/status checks. I even drove 1 hour from Loudoun County to come to this location. Jacob was so friendly and accommodating when I had asked about getting a protection plan he recommended the best one. He really made this whole experience pleasant! I have been a fan of this brand for years. They have always done me well by good variety. When I got there they were full up in the bays. However my car went in next. Didn't have long to wait. Lots of seating. And I'm happy to say they have a few charging plugs USB/110 at the bar with stools where you can watch your cars being worked on. A great friendly service. read more

No joy after 3 visits - Asst Mgrs need training. Previously used Discount Tire in UT, TX and AL. Drove from DC in Dec 25 to ensure wheel and tire replacement would fit vehicle (2000 LX470 - 5 bolt pattern) b/c didn't have confidence after phone discussion. Received a quote...almost $3k, so waited until after the New Year. Visited late Jan 26 and the Asst Mgr said the previous wheels and tires were wrong, but he corrected them, and I ordered $2,705f.64 Order #5060224374. Called to set up install appt and asked to ensure wheels and tires fit the vehicle due to drive and wait time on a busy Sat - told they were correct for the vehicle. 7 Feb drove to store a 3rd time for 12:00 appt and about at 1:55 PM was informed the wheels wouldn't fit. John, now the 3rd Asst Mgr, apologized and graciously offered more expensive wheels and a discount. I accepted the wheels, but declined the discount - unfair to take advantage, and just wanted tires replaced (current ones have a nail very near the outer wall). Could've left for another store, yet I like Discount Tire b/c and especially the young crew working in the open bay at 20 deg were awesome (Dalton, etc.); very courteous and conscientious. Might not have happened with a more standard vehicle, but I cautioned the complexity numerous times. The store manager wasn't available to discuss (odd on a high-volume day), so I'll provide this feedback. The bay crews are wonderful young men, but the Asst Mgrs, who are very busy on Sat's need to take their time to ensure accurate orders that avoid lost efficiency by freezing crew members to mount and then remove tires that won't fit, as well as wasting customers' time. This place does not honor what is advertised on the web site. Even after you show them a quote you received from their own web site. Typical bate and trap promotions. I even asked for the district manager/ store manager who was in the office and would not even come out to speak with me as a customer. Good luck with this place. read more

I ordered new tires but didn't pay for them in advance. even though I couldn't get in to have them mounted onto my car until two Saturdays later, they held them for two weeks. I called the afternoon before to confirm my Saturday morning appointment time but it got wiped from the computer, which happens. Their calendar was full, but they fit me in - and early too! First let me say: I'm a fan of discount tire in general. However my last experience at this location has changed my opinion. Since I purchased tires from them I was also sold the $25 tire warranty. Well, low and behind I get a nail in my tire. Disappointed but not worried because of the $25 warranty I drove to this discount tore location before it was closest to my current location. It's a 90 mins drive. So I called to confirm they can repair the tire. Guy said yes, no problem. I explained I'm 90 mins away I'll need to be out within an hour or arrival. I have to pick up my kids. I explained everything in painful detail. I even called the store 3 times as I was driving to make sure they understood when I'll be there and when I will need to leave. Each time, the rep said don't worry. We got you covered. This won't be a problem. I called 3 times because I was worried I would get there and wait and therefore be late for school pickup. Guess what? After calling and confirming that my repair would be complete before x time - I ended up sitting at the location for an hour. Sitting and waiting. Asking. Following up. The guy straight up lied to my face about when this tire would get fixed. I arrived at 12:35. I checked in, I said, hi it's me I called 3 times. Yadda yadda yadda. Everything is great! I'm all set. Done. Then I get the auto text that says "you have been checked in for 1:03-1:23. I went back in and said, hi. I arrived at 12:35, I called before I drove to make sure you could fix the tire and now this says I'm checking in at 1:03. I explained I can't stay - I have to drive back and get my kids. He said oh, don't worry. Our guys are fast. That's just an estimate. So I believed him. I should note: instead of repairing the tire (which was allegedly covered under this $25 warranty) he told me I would need a new tire. Not exactly what I was planning as I was planning to get the tire repaired and/or replaced for free (as stated in the warranty) but nope. $181 dollars later my "covered nail" was not covered and they charged me for a new tire. My husband suggested that perhaps I was taken advantage of because I'm a woman. I choose not to believe that. But...I am out $181 for a tire that was supposed to be covered under the warranty they sold me. Now I'm outside, still waiting, trying to figure out why I had to buy a tire and did I get screwed because I also purchased the warranty for this other tire and I look at the clock. It's now 1:28. Which is 5 mins AFTEE the estimated window time. I go back in, I tell him I have to leave. Now. I have a 90 min drive, I ask him to please fix the tire as fast as possible or I need to leave. My kids get out at 3pm. I spent time and money to get here AFTER confirming that he could fix my tire. At this point though, I just need my car. Nail. No nail. Whatever. I HAVE TO GO. He says, the plug will take as long as the tire replacement. I said, doesn't matter. I have to get my kids. I need to leave I need my keys, I need to go. I explain, the school will charge me after-care fees. I have to leave at this point. He doesn't give me my keys, he tells me the car is going back and it will be done "so fast." He has "a ton a guys working back there." Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I don't insist on getting my keys and the car goes in the bay. I don't leave until 2pm. At this point, there is no way I'm picking up my kids by 3. I frantically call the school and everyone I know to figure out a solution. All of this could have been avoided. All of it. It was such an unnecessary stress AND I ended up paying for a brand new tire anyway. I could have gone locally and paid for a new tire. While I am a fan of discount tire, I will not return to this specific location. read more

I called discount tire yesterday about my wheel and rim size and that I just needed a mountain and balance they told me to come in at 8 o'clock and they would get it done for me. I was there at seven and waited hour and took the day off work to do so after getting there they then tell me that they cannot mountain balance my tires due to some kind of load rating on the tire. If this was going to be an issue it should've been a question. They asked while I was on the phone with yesterday before taking the day off work to take care of this. Furthermore, they took my brand new aftermarket rims and we're rolling them around on their concrete floor. Walked in and was greeted by Tristan who was extremely helpful with my tire. He kept me updated throughout my time at the shop which was actually about 45 mins tota (pretty dang quick). I had previously taken my tire to the dealership who said it would require me to replace the tire but apparently that actually wasn't necessary. I mention that to show they didn't try to upset me on. Wait times are incredibly inaccurate EVEN when making an appointment. Appointment was for 1230. Was quoted ~1-1.5 hours. Car was not ready until after 3pm. Tires were WAY over inflated causing my trunk to bounce across lanes. Door says 36psi, NOT 52psi... Words to management: Value people's time. Anyone can change tires and patch holes. We were traveling from Michigan and were stuck in traffic for over two hours. If that was not frustrating enough, when we finally get going the low tire pressure light comes on. We pull into Discount Tire and there are quite a few people waiting. However, we had the best, most courteous service. Someone came to look at the tire and discovered a nail. However not in just one tire but both of the rear tires. They told us it would be an hour wait before someone could help us. But it turned out to be a little less. They had the best prices by far on my special order, low-profile tires so it was worth the first come, first serve installation. That's no longer the case. Discount was cheaper, had my tires in-stock, and was able to install (by appointment) same day. Since that first time purchase I have also come to appreciate the excellent sales and service staff at DT. I also take advantage of free tire rotation which is free and convenient. I received service from Discount Tires several times. Originally the first time getting service with 4 tires and the warranty I purchased. At this time Tires Plus did do alignments. I had to go somewhere else.. inconvenient but okay. Whe I went more recently it was to purchase a rim and tire and paid for another warranty. Was excited that now they do alignments. But low and behold technician comes to me with some paperwork stating they can only do the bottom of the alignment not the top!! First off, Im not a mechanic nor a tire tech so I don't understand what you're saying and why would I pay $90 at Discount Tires for half of a job and still have to go somewhere else that will charge another $100. Not only did they squeeze me in without an appointment when the establishment was packed with customers, but they suggested trying to repair the tire rather than getting a new one AND fixed it for free!! My truck needed tires and this was the place that had them in stock, for a very reasonable price, and they could accommodate my schedule, allowing me to drop it off before opening and pick up close to closing. They were friendly and communicated the process well. My only wish is that they also did alignment. I ended up having to take my truck to another place for that. read more

There was a hiccup with the rims I initially wanted then when they got some replacements in they jus didn't suit the look I was goin for and they still went an extra step and made sure I left happy. I had a huge gash ion one tire and the tread was low on the others. I ordered online, received the veteran discount (verified through IDme) and the next week I was in and out in less than an hour. My tires are stupid expensive and this is by far the best price I could find for them. The tires came in a day later than expected but they noticed on their shipment schedule and called several days in advance to let me know and we rescheduled. Wow amazing customer service ! I got a screw stuck in my tire I called around town looking for prices to get it fixed. The young man that took my call was super nice (sorry forgot your name) so I decided to drive over and have them look at the tire to see if it could be fixed. Pulled in with the tire almost completely flat, John at the service counter has Uber customer service skills! They fixed my puncture and he fixed my wiper blade and charged me nothing! I of course took a quote for new tires as I will need them soon and fully will return to discount tires to purchase them. What I loved about this place they didn't push you to buy tires or wipers or unnecessary stuff. It was simply when you decide it's time to buy new tires we hope you come back to us!
