Bottom line...the inept technician actually broke something on my car when he was putting g it back together and they didn't own up to it when they did it. A call to the manager was nothing but attitude. This is a dirty little shop with a dirty waiting room and dirty restrooms as well as dirty attitudes and practices. Should have known better. Every shop around them is stacked with work but they were empty which should have been a red flag. Same as a restaurant, don't eat there if you're the only one. Word to the wise, stay away from Mr. Tire Latrobe PA and all Mr. Tire in general. They only attract the bottom of the barrel as far as talent. read more

I needed a screw removed from my tire and to have the hole plugged and patched. I stopped at NTB on Rt. 30, Greensburg, two different days and asked if they could repair the tire. Both times I was told O had to make an appointment for the next day. Since my schedule did not have me in the area on the next day, I did not make an appointment. The same thing happened at Pep Boys. I dealt with Chris at Mr. Tire, who said to arrive whenever I could and they would help me. Chris was professional and courteous and, above all, helpful! I understand that he will be transferring to New Stanton to train as a manager. Greensburg should be sad to lose him, and New Stanton should be happy to be getting Chris!! Friendly staff and timely service. I would not hesitate to use them again, and you shouldn't either. Easily five stars if not for charging me to reprogram the new tire pressure monitoring system sensors they installed, even though they were unable to program them correctly (lesson learned). A couple days before I went, it snowed enough for me to almost have a major accident, freakin' tires! I showed up seeking an oil change! The price was perfect! Last place I went charged $89; but, they charged $25! While there, I noticed they had a deal on tires; and, I asked about it, because I had to put air in 2 tires, every two days! They noticed the problems there before I told them! They quoted me a price that I couldn't pass up! These guys were awesome! Very friendly, personable, made us comfortable, got us coffee; and, updated us on progress! They explained to me things about my car that saved me from an accident about to happen! When I left, I could immediately tell the difference in the way it drove! It was as if I took the car to a doctor! These guys know their stuff; and, I wholly recommend them! Get a load of this bullshit, and take it as a WARNING to NEVER use Mr. Tire in Latrobe. My fiancé took our car after work last Monday to get the oil changed and the state inspection. We had an appointment, but he still waited OVER 3 HOURS for them to look over the car. Meanwhile, they took walk-ins who came and went the entire time he was there. After three hours, they told him that the front brakes and one caliper needed replaced but that they were closing so he had to leave, and so he left. They left their dirty shop rags and paperwork all through the car. He came home, told me they quoted more than $400 for the work, and I told him to call around and get quotes because they are clearly trying to rip him off. He did and we ended up taking the car to Pepboys to get the parts fixed at less than half the cost Mr. Tire quoted. While there, they checked the oil as a courtesy and told my fiancé that there was absolutely no oil in the car. When my fiancé came home and told me this, I flipped. WE PAID FOR AN OIL CHANGE and they NEVER DID IT! He took the car back to them today and confronted them about it. They admitted they had never changed the oil even though THEY CHARGED US FOR IT. He watched them as they changed the oil and gave us our inspection sticker. Just be lucky, Mr. Tire servicemen, that I WASN'T THE ONE WHO TOOK THE CAR because I'm not nearly as big a pushover and you would NEVER have gotten away with it. read more

They handled my needs in a professional and immediately showed interest in taking care of the problems. The repairs were done in a thorough and expedient manner. They are the absolute worst and I would never recommend them to anyone. I went there because I needed tires that day and they were the only ones available. They insisted I needed new tire pressure sensors because they told me they change them on everyone's vehicle at every tire change and they charged $45 for each tire for that. The cheapest tire they had for my vehicle was $120 each so I had to go with that, and then they charged me a crazy price for mounting and balancing. It cost me about $850 for all 4 tires and having them installed. I received a 40,000 mile warranty with them and at 15,000 miles my tires were completely bald that almost the cords were showing so I went back and they replaced them but it cost me another $400 to have them replaced a second time. I now have 16,563 miles and the tires are back to being completely smooth and now I need new tires once again. They are the worst place to get tires. Plus each time I was there it took between 3 and 5 HOURS to have 4 tires installed. Oh and I get my tires rotated every time I have an oil change and an alignment every 6 months so it was not a drivers error that the tires were so quickly worn. read more

Went for the oil change with a coupon because it's a good deal but the mechanic told me I needed all new rotors and brakes and wouldn't pass inspection. Howvever I knew this was untrue because a week ago had my local mechanic look over my car for inspection and he said all I needed were rear brake pads. Saved myself 650 dollars which was the quote they gave me. I will go to my mechanic for a oil change even if it cost double rather than give my hard earned money to those crooks! read more

My fiancé took my car there today and everything was fine just needed to fix a hole in my exhaust and get my oil changed. When he went to pick up my car the check engine light was on! That light has NEVER been on since I've owned the car ( so since 2009)! My fiancé asked them what happened and they told him that it was like that when it got there! Then the guy argued with my significant other and told him to prove they did it! Are you kidding me!? I will never recommend this awful place to anyone!!!! Dave Thomas is great! However new manager is very poor with communication (Kim) and customer service skills.Left vehicle overnight for oil change, tire rotation and check on suspension for next day. I had to call in and check on update of vehicle. Told they could not change oil since dipstick was broken. New manager did not realize this very shop had changed my oil multiple time with the broken dipstick which is easily removed with needle nose vise grips (spent a lot of $$$$ at this location over the years). I was told they were worried my oil tube would break and they could not complete my service. Was this a case of a busy day and lack of effort to accommodate my service request? Maybe maybe not, but when Dave Thomas was in charge I NEVER had any issues with my vehicle. My advice...stay away from this location so you do not find yourself having to find another service shop willing to do the job and with some professionalism and oh yeah--not wasting your precious time.
