I had a very disturbing experience at the Mr. Tire location at 941 Route 66 on January 18, 2026.and oil change so I could safely drive home the next day. I had an appointment and dropped my vehicle off around 1:00 PM. Around 4:20 PM, I received a call saying my car was ready. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I discovered it had been severely damaged and was no longer drivable. Staff told me my car had been "hit while parked" in their lot. This explanation did not make sense because there was no debris or evidence of an accident, in the parking lot yet the damage was extensive. The vehicle would not accelerate, the suspension rods were broken, a tire was bent, and there were multiple mechanical issues. This level of damage is far beyond what would occur from a simple parking lot incident. Because the explanation did not add up, I contacted the police and filed a police report. I then had to use my insurance to tow the vehicle at 8:00am the next morning. Since I was far from home, my insurance arranged for the car to be towed to Caliber Collision in Bayville, NJ, and provided a rental. Caliber Collision later stated that there is no way this damage could have occurred while the vehicle was parked, which directly contradicts what I was told at Mr. Tire. Caliber Collision is extremely professional and helpful ensuring I get the help needed. There were also inconsistencies in staff statements. An employee named Nick initially said he did not test-drive my car, but later told police that he did. The manager, Mike, was disrespectful and appeared more focused on covering for staff than taking accountability. What upset me most was the lack of honesty, accountability, and basic concern. When I returned the next morning for the tow, the same employee was working as usual with no acknowledgment or apology. Along with his rude manage Mike who keeps saying my cat was hit in the parking lot and he was not even there. There was nothing wrong with my vehicle when I dropped it off. I asked for a refund from my alignment and oil changed since I never received a usable vehicle after service and was told to contact corporate. I felt humiliated, violated, and disrespected. I was devastated to know someone would do such and stand in your face and gaslight you. The lies were horrible. In addition, they stated they don't have any working cameras. Why when this is a business with many vehicles of customers. I am sharing this so other customers are aware. This experience was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this location to anyone. Integrity and professionalism should always be first when dealing with customers. And my deductible still needs to be paid for this damage. I should not have to come out of my pocket with nothing. Your appointment system is a complete failure. Made an appointment this morning with a remote scheduling location. Arrived for my assigned appointment on time. Location has several jobs already in the shop. Gentleman tells it will be a while. A while turned into just under two hours. I am there for a tire repair, which they fixed. I needed new wipers and gave them the add on sales. I asked for a high end wipers. I was informed they were $50, ok. Big mistake. $105 for the wipers and $50 to install. Tire repair $29, total bill over $200. Live and learn. read more

I took my personal vehicle, a 2022 Acura RDX A-Spec, to Mr. Tire because it was overheating. The company I own, Goldfinch Services, has been doing business with this location for years--they service and repair our seven company vehicles--so I assumed it would be a reliable place to bring my personal car. I thought they could be trusted. I was wrong. When I brought my car in, they told me there were no leaks or issues with the radiator. They said a basic radiator flush and water pump replacement would fix the problem and charged me approximately $900 for the service and parts. Unfortunately, this was completely inaccurate. There was nothing wrong with either component. I brought the car back, understandably upset. The manager, Mike, said he had personally inspected the vehicle multiple times and suggested I take it to the dealer. I followed his advice and took the car to an Acura dealership, where I was told that the third and fourth cylinders needed to be replaced along with the head gasket. There was a major engine issue all along, and the radiator flush and water pump replacement had essentially been unnecessary. To confirm, I took the car to a second Acura dealer and received the same diagnosis from their master technicians. In other words, Mr. Tire performed unnecessary work to charge me, rather than properly diagnosing or communicating the actual issue--something they only acknowledged after I returned. A few weeks later, after the engine repairs were completed, I noticed the heat was no longer working. The Acura dealer kept my car for another week, ran extensive tests, and flushed the system multiple times (at no charge). They ultimately concluded that the aftermarket water pump installed by Mr. Tire was the problem. I contacted Mr. Tire, and Mike told me verbatim: "If you bring me the part back and a copy of the work they did, I will issue a refund." I was not even pressing them about the unnecessary work at this point. I returned with the part and the Acura report, but he then claimed that was not sufficient. He said there was nothing wrong with the part but that he would send it to the manufacturer for review and, if reimbursed, would then reimburse me. It has now been over two weeks, and I have heard nothing. He has not followed through on what he said he would do. Regardless of whether the part is technically "good" or "bad," it prevented my car from producing heat. That is their responsibility, and this reflects poor business practices. I have documentation, including emails and receipts, to support all of this. As a result, Mr. Tire has lost my company's business, which amounts to thousands of dollars per year in service work, all over an attempt to take $900 from me on my personal vehicle. I would not recommend this location to anyone. In my experience, they perform unnecessary repairs, install subpar parts, and provide poor customer service. Do not bring your car here. read more

I have to leave a review for this amazing place! I had a busy Friday filled with doctor appointments and tire rotation. As I walked through the door, a gentleman by the name of Mike came from the back to greet me and asked if I was there to get my tires rotated (I made an appointment online). After saying yes, he said we have a coupon for a free rotation. I immediately ask if I was dreaming, as in this day and time nothing is for free. The service was fast, there was no attempt to upsell on anything, the place was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this location. They do more than Tires.. I will go back! I'm a car guy, through and through. From my father owning multiple auto body shops when I was growing up, down to having close friends that currently work for NASCAR... With that said, I was totally impressed with Darnell and Mr. Tire, and would strongly recommend them to anyone! 1.) Not only do they have a large selection of tires on the floor, but they can special order anything you want, and have it the NEXT DAY for install. 2.) Their prices for both the tires and install are cheaper than anyone around. They even beat Walmart's prices for both the tires and install, and I received namebrand Cooper Tires, not "Thunderer Tires", like Walmart wanted to sell me for a slightly higher price. 3.) When I arrived for the install the next day, Darnell took care of me. Nice guy, polite, respectable, very knowledgeable, caring, actually proud to do a good job (rare in this day & age). Wants to make sure you understand what you're paying for. I don't know if everyone at Mr. Tire is like that, so I would personally ask for Darnell. You're in good hands with him. 4.) The install took all of 35-40 minutes. I sat in their waiting room with TV, got a little work done on my phone, and before I knew it, the car was ready to roll. I paid, signed the receipt, and was out the door with brand new tires. Quick, painless, no stress, and I got what I wanted for a great price. Other local businesses should take lessons from Darnell & Mr. Tire. Will definitely be going back in the future for more work! read more

Bought a tire here, and 3 weeks later, it was flat. They have some scam going on with the roadside assistance that is actually the insurance on the tire. They did not represent that to me at the time of purchase,so I passed on it. I have AAA already.The manufacturer is pointthe finger at Mr. Tire for the warranty. All around bad business, I had a bad feeling when the tire looked used, and it also indicated that it was used on the receipt. I did not see this until much later. So I spent $450 on a used tire that lasted a week ? I purchased a new one at a reputable dealer for far less $300. Beware of this place. read more

An appointment was made for an oil change & tire rotation. I arrived 10 minutes early as a new customer so my personal details could be taken by the counterman. So far so good I think to myself since my keys were taken by a "mechanic" 5 minutes after my information was entered into their computer system. 90 minutes later the service was complete. This shop was not busy at all. There was 1 client in the shop upon my arrival. Once I arrived home, less than a 5 minute drive, I opened the rear cargo area to discover it a mess. The "mechanic" had removed the lug nut security key from the rear compartment and returned it by tossing it and not closing up the cargo area. I'll never return to this business. read more

I Just had my rim and tire replaced they were very helpfully in scheduling appointment. I also lost my lock lugs and they were able to take all the locking lugs off my car and replace them with new ones. I would give Mr. Tire a fat ZERO but this app makes me give it at least a one or I cannot post. The first time I went to Mr. Tire the man at the front desk was dismiss and rude, like he could care less if I choose them for my car need. They were busy that day so I excused it. So I went back a few days later. Same dismissive, rude older white guy that couldn't be bothered by a customers needs. Flummoxed, I left. Still needing that part, but this time sending my wife, she returned home offended by the same coldness and said, "I will never go back to that place." Pretty sad. I've been there several time for oil changes and tire purchases. I find their prices to be lower than most dealers and Mavis (formerly STS). These places tend to be dirty and noisy with all the grease, oil and pneumatic tools so it's near impossible to create a friendly environment. If you go make sure you check their prices and schedule an appointment online. If you make an appointment schedule it for early in the morning. Once they get busy things slow down a lot and you can spend a lot of time there which will add to your frustration. To get their best and lowest price use their Drive Card along with their online coupons. If you're not prepared it could be an annoying, costly and lengthy visit. If you're prepared things will go as well as expected. read more

I bought my wife's 2009 Volvo SUV for full synthetic oil change n tire rotation. Before leaving I noticed tires were not rotated so I walked back n asked Mike if they had rotated my tires. Called up Mr Tire to ask if they could do a walk in. The phone was answered by Mike, the nicest guy with a BIG hello. They had me in and out in what felt like a very normal amount of time for a pair of front tires with alignment. The place was very clean and everyone I met there was super friendly. Pros: Fast service, Friendly staff, decent pricing. Cons: Work Quality. I called Mr. Tire at 12:00pm to schedule an appointment for 4 new tires and a wheel alinement. I talked with Will who was very helpful and friendly. Scheduled an appt. for 4:30 that day and said it would be done before they closed that day. I brought my car in At 4:30 and what ready to pick up at 7:00. When I picked up my vehicle I was told that my wheel lock key broke while they where installing the wheels. No biggie. But Its on me to either go to the dealership and pay for a new key or buy a lug removal kit, remove the lugs and replace them on my dime. Now Im thinking hopefully the tires hold air cause if i get a flat somewhere, I cannot remove any of my tires to put on the spare until I get the key. When I got home, I inspected the tires and realized they reused 3 of my 4 valve stems. I already knew that 2 of my old valve stems were leaking, which is what prompted me to replace my old tires in the first place. So math tells me one valve stem will be leaking and my ears confirm my suspicions. I drive back to Mr Tire as they are closing up hoping to fix the issue and Im out of luck, all mechs are gone. Even if they where there, guess what? I got not wheel key, Son! Will said i could come back tomorrow to get valve fixed. So basically, on top of the price/time of service original service (which was good minus the issues), I'm out probably an extra 50 bucks or so (price of wheel key solution), an hour or 2 on a friday to get problems fixed, and a 3 out 10 stress level to deal with the issues. Probably just a bad day for the mechanic. Tires felt good, alinement was smooth. read more

These guys over inflate everything that is wrong with your car. They make up stuff, and charge a fortune. Beware! We were customers for many many years, and since they came in, every time we bring in our car, there is more wrong with it then any other mechanic fines. We will never go back there again read more

Mr. Tire is horrible. I had over $2,000.00 dollars worth of work done tires, brakes, oil change, coolant flush & bearings on the wheel hub. It took three days and half a dozen visits before the work was completed and I stopped hearing noises. This place is terrible. Oh ya and they forgot to tighten my oil filter so I had droplets of oil all over my driveway now. If you cant do a simple oil change, you shouldn't be in business as a mechanics shop. First time customer and have to say it was a good experience and will have all my service on my Cadillac srx done at Mr Tire.

Got a simple tire change there and they told me it would cost me 112$ installed with the tire and since the tire is 72$ on their website I figured the extra money was for installing and the work to be done because on the phone that what they told me the cost would be total, I even called back to make sure that was the final price and they assured me it was. Then when I come to pick the car up they charge me almost $250 for a tire change.. No new rim or anything like that.. just put a new tire on a rim, that I had already had taken off of the car which is half the job which made it even easier to do and also took less time for them.. Did I mention this isn't a Mercedes either. I have an older car and it also was a cheap 72$ tire, there's no reason it should have costed $250. That is just crazy, I will never go there again now And I always used to get my oil changes there too.. not anymore. Do not go there for tire services unless you want to ripped off... read more

Just like the last guy said I wish I can give them zero stars it's been about six months since I had my brakes fixed supposedly I've tried to calm but I still can't .My wife took my truck in that day they gave my truck back to my wife not working properly she drove home with the driver side caliper all messed up it was actually smoking and they let her leave like this I then called back up they took the truck back they supposedly fix the caliper when I receive the truck back I noticed that one of the hubcaps was missing I called and asked why my hubcap is missing he said sorry I don't have any Toyota hubcaps around here like that was the answer I was looking for second the brakes rattle on the driver side caliper they supposedly fixed .This place is a horrible company I wouldn't go there for tires I can't believe Imade the mistake to go in there for brakes .They should shut down all the one star reviews about this company are real I bet the five star reviews are fake and made up read more
