My son was in an accident. CHP calls Mr. T's towing. I arrive at the scene and before my AAA towing truck came, Mr. T's towing was backing up to pick my son's car up. The tow truck driver did not tell me his rate, and asked to bring to tow yard. He did not explain his tow yard "Storage rates". They had it in their towyard by 8PM. I called the next morning and asked how much to pick up. $350!!!!! Really. It has not even been 2 days and they are charging me $100 for 2 days storage. I asked to talk to the manager, but, nope, on vacation. So to spell it out, they are contracted with CHP to work scenes. They DON'T inform people of their rates and who would think to ask after the shock of an accident. They told me "Take your time to come fill our insurance release form". Yeah, I know why know. So basically, CHP forces you to use this tow company, and the company takes FULL advantage of the accident victim and gouges prices up triple rates. UN-ETHICAL and CROOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My car was a non op and I was using it still for work (stupid on my part) anyways after 6 months of that it was towed I was told it was gonna be $350 to get out BUT I had to get the vehicle release which was $100 BUT then I still had to get a permit in order to actually move the car and to get the vehicle release form so in total it would be $500 to get my car the thing is with my car it had overheated and I didn't think paying $500 was worth it for that car so I basically wanted to give up but I can't just not pay it it'll cost me more so after my grandmother had to talk to a guy named Chris he said if I pay $300 and release the pink slip and give them the key I wouldn't have to deal with it I still had to pay but my experience was fine it went smooth I know a lot of people say they were rude and would hassle people but my experience went ok maybe they hired new people or I just happened to catch them on a good day idk read more

This Towing Company has the worst customer servcie!! They are extremely rude and unethical. My daughter was in an accident and CHP called this towing company to tow her car away. I had no say so on the towing service, they had already been called without letting me know since her car was blocking traffic. Mr. T Towing gave me a hard time when my insurance adjuster wanted to go out and inspect my car. They wanted me to fill out all kinds of forms before they alllowed the adjustor access to my car. I was finally able to fax them a release letter with a copy of my D. When I get home that night in the mail there is a letter in the mail from the towing company. They had put a lien of sale on my car because it had been in their yard for only four days with no pay. Wow!!! They didn't even give a chance for my insurance company to process paperwork and set appt. for inspector to go out...they work really fast to screw you. No wonder they were givning me a hard time about the adjustor going out to inspect the car. They were ready to sell my car. My daughter goes to Mr.T towing to pick up her personal and the girl at the front desk is extremely rude, dismissive and unprofessional. I believe her name is Jesith. She won't allow my daughter to pick up her items from her car since the registration is in my husbands name. I called her and she is rude to me also and informed her I had spoken with a gentlemen yesterday and he told me I can pick up the items anytime as long as I fax a release letter with owners ID. The same thing I did to release my car to my insurance company. She said I don't care who you spoke with but thats not how we do things and i need to physically see the owner of the car. I told her we could fax her a letter with my husbands drivers license and she said no I will not release the personal items. This company does not try to work with you and they are unprofessional and I would never use them!!! read more

Do NOT use Mr. T's Towing! They are the biggest rip-off act in town. Unfortunately, the local police department uses them to tow recovered stolen vehicles. Speaking from experience, the real theft begins once Mr. T's gets their mitts on your car. They are already paid a $150.00 towing fee by the police department to tow the vehicle to their lot. But they were charging us $290.00 to give us back the car. So they are making a total of $440.00 on that one tow!!. If you find yourself without that $290.00 in your pocket at that moment and need an additional day to get it, well, good old Mr. T's charges you an extra $40.00 for every additional day. They do offer a helpful suggestion, however: if you can't afford their ludicrous rates, they will be happy to accept your car and your pink slip as a gift, and charge you an additional $200.00 for the courtesy of taking your car from you!! If you decide to just throw up your hands and say, "Never mind!! Just keep it!" without paying them their extortion fees, then they will auction off your car and send you a bill for the difference between their selling price and their total impound fees!!!! If you don't pay, they ruin your credit by sending it to collections! All this because you are unlucky enough to have had your car stolen! And, to add insult to injury, just calling them to get this information was a horrendous experience, because they were so horribly rude to me on the phone, as if I were being a bother to them!! This is a highly unethical company that makes its money by taking advantage of people who are already having troubles. What they are doing to people should be illegal. Did I say extortion? Yes, I did, and it is. I wish the local Upland Police Dept would do the right thing and stop using them as the go-to towing company. I wouldn't be surprised if they turned out to be part of an organized crime ring. read more

I will keep this short and sweet but I agree with all of the other posters. Please don't waste your time if you have the option to choose a company to tow your vehicle. They are very difficult to work with and like everyone else has posted, rude and completely unprofessional. I had the same issue with them in getting my vehicle out of their yard, they wanted to hold it as long as possible to try and make more money. read more

Mr. T's towed my car which police said was illegally parked on private property. The police have now have recanted. Mr. T's damaged the left-right tire during the tow, forcing a bolt into the tire. That was my experience. I was obviously forced into using Mr. T's but obviously wouldn't select them if it were my choice. read more

Wow, I've been in the insurance industry for 18 years and have dealt with numerous tow yards. This place by far takes the cake for being the worst I've ever dealt with. I was following up on a vehicle theft in which my clients stolen vehicle was recovered and towed here by the Upland PD. Some how while in their procession, the vehicle has turned up missing. I'm literally baffled. Corruptness at it's finest. Can't believe this is Upland PD's tow yard of choice. read more

I believe they have a 12 year old answering phones for them. I called them to get a quote to flatbed one of my classics to the mechanic, and the "young" lady was rude, dismissive, and discourteous. I don't usually judge a book by it's cover, but in this case I will not be calling back. This tow company sells used cars to the public as long as your the right color to get in. I have bought cars from here in the past when a different person ran that area and there was never any issues. There are two women in the office now that pick and choose what people they want to let in. The front gate is open so you can just walk into the yard, now remember I have been going there since 02-03 and this was the same process back then. Now when you come there is always a issue, there running out the office yelling comeback because they are the only one there......well post a sign Dammit! The last straw was a couple of days ago when me and my wife went, the gate was locked so my wife called. The lady in the office says oh yeah we are open come to the gate, I make a u-turn and come back and that's when the lady peaks thru the gate see's us and says oh come back around 11 because the guy who does the cars isn't here.........so why in the hell did you say come back?? I don't spend my money in places like this and I bet it wouldn't matter what race I was if my car was getting towed. Whether you need a tow or a used car, spend your money were the only color that matters is green!!! read more
