Doesn't look like fried fish to me looks like pizza

If I was a doorman, I'd deny re-ENTRY If I was a guard, I'd be a SENTRY If I was a mentor, I'd be really MENTORY If I wanted men, I'd plant a MEN-TREE But as it happens, pizza really TEMPTS ME The desire burns and pepperoni's the INCENDIARY If I am the peasant then pizza is the GENTRY And the best late night slices are at VENTRY WHAT What to get: Always get the cheese & pep slice, or whichever one is piping hot. For $1.25 What else can I get for $1.25: Not even a bus ride, these days. But you can ride my bus The food here is so greasy, you may get a clogged ventry-cle. But it'll be worth it. Once you get your pizza and leave, they may deny you re-ventry. So make sure you order enough. Otherwise you'll have to come on Yelp and Vent-ry about it. If you're looking to plant some kind of tree, there's no better option than a Ven-tree. The reason for the low ratings of both Frenchy's and Mr. Ventry's is that the area is rough and the people of this town do not know how lucky they are to have these 2, late night, piping hot, authentic unique Niagara Falls-style pizza places handing them out $1.25 slices which are utterly delicious, in a country that - for the most part - does not really know how to make pizza. Here in Niagara Falls, they do. Come and try it for yourself. I brought one of Houston's top Yelpers here along with his family, and I don't think they loved it too much. The part of town is a little intimidating and the food wasn't as piping hot as it should be. Bleh. In any case, NF and Buffalo pizza are acquired tastes, albeit very different from each other. One of the teenagers along for the ride was pressing the grease out using paper towels. The towels ended up completely soaked through and orange. I wasn't surprised. Orange is the new black. More like orange is the new heart attack. Strangely, the vast majority of WNY doesn't realize there are 2 distinct styles of pizza that only exist in WNY. One is Buffalo Pizza, which has thick crust, masses of gooey greasy cheese, and upturned pepperoni with pools of grease glimmering like a lake of cardiac death. The other style is even more unique and far more rare: you can only find it in the city of Niagara Falls, NY. What's more, while about 12 places sell it, only 3 of them have perfected it. Pizza Oven is probably the best, but their very limited hours and being closed months at a time don't make it easy to eat there. They also have no seats. The other two are both excellent, and more importantly, they are both open until the wee hours of the morning, and both have plenty of seating. One is Frenchy's (just a few blocks down from Pizza Oven) and the other is Mr. Ventry's, a few blocks north, on Pierce - not to be confused with Ventry's on Buffalo which is not as good, and has a different owner. Both sell squares of delicious pies for $1.25. Frenchy's has more selection (usually), because while Ventry's has traditional tomato (usually lukewarm), cheese, and cheese-pep (piping hot and ready to burn your mouth). You must always get the Cheese-Pep because it's absolutely magnificent. But only if it's fresh out of the oven. If not, get the one that is hottest, which will be the Cheese if not the Cheese Pep. The original tomato will usually be lukewarm. That's just how it's served. Niagara Falls Pizza is spectacular, if you ask me, but only when it's hot out of the oven and burning your mouth (badly), so make sure you ask for the slices that are fresh out and still piping hot. The clientele at both Frenchy's and Ventry's is poor, and the prices and seating are for poor people. The city is poor, run down, neglected and forgotten. The streets are full of pot holes. This is the real Niagara Falls. There's no fireworks here. Just some of the best pizza for miles. So while you have to sample the delights of Imperial, Bella (S Park Ave), Good Guys, Mattina's, DiPaulo's and Mia Mangia in Buffalo, you also have to come up to the Falls to have NF Pizza at Pizza Oven, and here, at Mr. Ventry's. Also, as a side note, Ventry's goes the extra mile and gives out free slices randomly along with your order. So forget your "Venti" from Starbucks and instead come and get a "Ventry."

    $1.25 Slice (very small)

Went in here Friday night and ordered a half tray and 20 wings, $28. The guy told me 20 minutes. I came back in 30 and still had to wait 15 more minutes for the food to be ready. No apology from him. The food was prepared okay. The pizza slices they sell are only $1.25 but they are pretty small.

Just across from our Airbnb, my daughter suggested we try it so we walked across the street. Just a neighborhood pizza joint, very friendly. We ordered a full pan 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. 10 min later and a 2 min walk back to the house we were in heaven! FANTASTIC! Not your everyday pizza, but so good. We didn't even eat half. Great experience at a great price...

First off I will say, no complaints on the price or customer service. The woman was so friendly and personable it made me not want to leave a review since it's not a good one. She was a gem; the pizza: not so much. And judging by the reviews here, maybe it was just an off moment. The sauce wasn't so sweet as I wanted. But that's subjective. However, what I hated the most was my slices were soggy and cold. I mean so soggy I couldn't even eat my last slice. And cold it should not be, as I ate it in my car on the street because I live 35 mins away. I really wanted to love it here after my great customer service experience but unfortunately my experience with the pizza itself was not as great as everyone else's. If I ever happen to have it again (I go to Lewiston often), and have a better quality slice, I will update review but sadly it missed the mark for me.

I don't get to "Pisa Often." Which is a shame because I am leaning towards saying Italia is the…read moremost beautiful country on earth. But that would be cheesy and I might change my mind tomato morning. Then again, of crust, I may not. Someone in media told me Italia might become the official "world beauty capital" but I don't want to name my sauce. And I don't put salt on my Italian food btw, I put pepperonly. What to get: a slice of Pizza for around a dollar. Also if you're at a local Greek place, I recommend ordering your "Pita Open." But this place doesn't serve Open Pitas despite the name. It only serves one thing. And that is: alcohol to minors. Oh wait. That's the liquor store across the street. What I meant to say was: PIZZA. What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is more delicious than ANYTHING you will ever eat in Pisa. As we know, someone that drinks as much water as I do... Pisa lot. But we also have exceptionally clean systems which allow our taste buds to properly savour and enjoy the exquisite tastes such as that of the cheapest and most yummylicious Pizza you will ever try in your life. What I am trying to tell you is... THIS MIGHT WELL BE THE BEST TASTING PIZZA IN THE WORLD. It is completely different from the doughy likes of Imperial and Mattina's and Franco's (prob the best 3 in the Buffalo area). It is nothing like the crisp enormous NYC slice. It is nowhere near the deep dish made famous by Shy-town. It's something all unto itself. St. Louis claims to own the "square slice" but their version has NOTHING on this. It's AMAZING. Niagara Falls is now officially (I have decreed it so) the owner of the square slice, and this little gemtastic gem is the heart and soul of what NF Pizza is. Ask ANYONE from NF and the chances are they will tell you that if you only ever have one slice in your life, have one of these. Surely the hype can't be matched by the product? Yes it f***ing well is. Trust me. So a slice is $1.25 and it's small, but it's so yummy that you won't care how small it is. And if that's an issue, just get 2 or 3 or 7 or 27 or 69. The bad news about this place is all about availability and there are several issues. (a) They close ALL SUMMER LONG because it's too hot inside, yet they still pay their employees for the duration. (b) They are ONLY open on Thu-Fri-Sat-maybe Sun (can't remember), which means for three days a week even in snowy season, you are SOL. And I don't mean a bright star warming up the Milky Way in Spanish. (c) They run out of pizzas, or are all booked up, so if you want a full pie you should call WAY in advance to place the order... but slices so far, for me, have been easier to come by as a walk in. (d) I don't think you can even walk in and order a full pizza anymore. They do keep tons of slices ready to go and they are nice and hot, so that is a bonus. And I paid for one, and they gave me two. How lovely is that? I know it's not in a great area but WHO CARES. This type of area needs your support more than fancy burbs anyway, and nothing's going to happen to you from stopping by here. This is America. It's not like anyone carries guns or anything. So yes, this is one of the best slices in WNY, possibly even #1, and it is one of the best in the world. Drive very fast (don't get a ticket) to Viagra Falls immediately, and purchase one of these. Get a Viola's Steak and Cheese too. You don't have to thank me. I am so glad that I have a new reason to visit the Viagra Falls. I used to not like it because it's full of horny old men, hence the name. But then as I said in another review, my friend Alice moved up there. So now I go fairly regularly to Cialis.
