I was wanting some chicken wings today and curious to try somewhere new to me. I added on a personal pizza because "when in Rome" and also so I could share with my son. When I arrived, my order still had 15 minutes left (I had just ordered from up the street). I thought I would just sit at a table, and I think there were two tables, but it was cold in there. I wouldn't recommend planning to eat there during the winter. Also, like I said, it's small with limited seating. It's more of a take out place; no ambiance to speak of. I would plan to order takeout rather than meeting up with people to eat here. So I left and came back. The gentleman working packed my items very nicely. He asked if I wanted a bag and I said yes and he bagged for me. We both forgot I had a 20oz with my order so I came back again and then headed home to give their food a try. Appearance wise was good .. both the pizza and wings had that nice reddish orange look to it. The wings came with Ken's blue cheese and carrots. The wings were good. Average but satisfied my craving. They have what I considered the good old fashioned medium sauce .. that classic flavor you would expect back in the day, before came a million varieties of everything. I have no complaints really and appreciated that I asked for them crispy and they were! The pizza I wouldn't order again, but I would be willing to try the regular crust (I ordered the thin crust option and wasn't into it). Maybe the regular crust or even just a regular sized pizza may be tastier to me. The sauce/cheese ratio was just right! After several recommendations we decided to try Muscararellas tonight. After being hung up on twice, we finally got through and ordered a sub and a large pizza. The girl on the phone was very abrasive and abrupt, but we assumed they were very busy. She let us know that it would be an hour before our order would be ready. For such a popular and busy place, there was ample parking right in front of the building. To be clear this is a corner pizza joint- there are only about 3-4 tables inside as I'm sure folks mostly grab & go. Cleanliness is not their priority unfortunately. Our order was just being completed when we arrived for pick up. Our pizza was hot, fresh and delicious. The sub sandwich was laughable. Barely any lettuce, very light mayo/oil and the meats were lukewarm warm and rubbery....not worth $15.00. Overall they are somewhat pricey but we might grab another pizza in the future but would unlikely purchase another sub from them. read more

We were in town visiting friends and seeing the sites in the area. We got back to our hotel, after normal dinner hours, and decided we'd get a pizza delivered. We liked the online ordering option but were sad our hotel was not a place they would deliver to. Our hotel is less than 1.5 miles away. We decided to continue our order and pickup instead. My husband received a text when it was ready and pickup was quick. We ordered a small Chicken Finger Pizza (medium Buffalo sauce) and a small Cheese pizza. My husband was really hungry after not really eating much at lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at how thick the crust was and how many toppings there were. There were good sized chicken chunks, a good amount of sauce, and also of cheese. The pizza was definitely still hot as we had to let it cool a bit before eating it. The kids had zero complaints eating the cheese pizza. I also tried a piece of the cheese and it too was tasty. Don't know why it took me so long to try wings and pizza - a Buffalo staple- from this pizzeria?! It was a treat. Had the charred-D BBQ sauce wings. Boy these are finger licking good! Like delicious. I'm thinking these are running neck and neck with Mattina's BBQ chicken wings. If you're local to Williamsville, (and love BBQ wings) you'll know what I mean! I'd definitely order these again! Ordered a well done 16" cheese and pepp and oh boy did it smell good in the car home! The crispy cup and char smiling up at me as the flavours of Buffalo wafted into my nose. The cheese is loaded on the pie and perfectly lightly sauced, well balanced not sweet or tangy like some but all the flavour without being overwhelming. I like their hot wings. The spice level is questionable, because the hot version tastes more like medium to me. But hey, go for suicidal if that's your wish. I stay away from sweet wings like BBQ, Honey Mustard or Cajun Style, only because of my preferences. Their alternative sauces are just too sugary for my taste. The sweet wings are a delicious mess, but maybe one or two for dessert. I got the wow factor last time. All blue cheese dips were packed separately, and I didn't have to dig under warm wings to find them. Thanks to Muscarella's for listening to us customers. We recently rediscovered Muscarella's and can't believe we ever stopped going. Their pizza has a thick crust, generous cheese, and plenty of toppings, with the eggplant and pepperoni being particular favorites. Orders are usually ready very quickly, and the prices are competitive with other local spots. Although you can dine in, most people seem to prefer takeout. Lots of toppings! They definitely don't cheap out on the toppings here. We have ordered a 5 piece chicken fingers and a small 1 topping pizza with additional toppings several times now. It's consistent in presentation and quality. The very definition of tried and true. The sausage is a little spicy. I dig it. The bell peppers are coarsely chopped which tells me it's fresh not precut out of a bag. The chicken fingers were good, too. I ordered take-out from this place several times now. I've had their wings, pizza, and jalapeno poppers. I can safely say that the food is good and consistent. However, I can't really say anything I've tried was above and beyond your average pizza & wing spot in Buffalo. The best thing between the three items I had were the wings. Plump with the right amount of crisp and they serve you two bleu cheeses with a single order. Now that's unheard of and was appreciated! The reason I would come back here is because it's so close to my home. Prices are on the steeper side for my liking and when I sat down to wait for one of my orders to be completed, there were nats/little flies landing on the dining tables which made me wary that these little buggers could easily make it back into the preparation area. :O read more

Ordered off Uber Eats and at first my order was cancelled 30 mins after I placed it... I assume it was due to the sauces I chose for the wings because went and reordered the basic flavors and went through without issues. Pizza is above average for the area. Has a dougy crust without being too thick and was baked well. Hot wings were also above average for quality of the chicken/meatiness. Only knocks are on the wings. I ordered mine saucy which they were not, they were pretty dry. They were fried pretty decent, a little on the under side to prevent being overcooked I'd guess but not too under fried. The blue cheese is abysmal. I don't know where they get it from but it's a weird blue cheese, very sweet and no chunks of solid blue cheese in it. I also wish they gave an option to order flats or drums only like some other area pizzerias. Would order from here again, but not my first choice for wings mainly due to the blue cheese. read more

My husband and I have been looking for a new pizza place and we decided to give this place a try. We ordered a sheet of pepperoni pizza, garlic bread with cheese, and antipasto salad for Pi Day, everything was very delicious. The pepperoni was crispy and the sauce with crust was delicious, but I think the crust could have been a little crisper in the bottom than it was, which could have been due to us getting it to go and the drive home. This garlic bread was one of the best I've had in the area. The salad was fresh and was generous in size. We popped into Muscarella's last Sunday to grab a sub for our picnic at Glen Park. The majority of sub shops in Williamsville are closed on Sunday, so huge props for Muscsrella's for being open. The dine in space is small but comfortable. Specials are listed on the wall. My biggest takeaway is how our sub was made. I always joke that when I get a sub out, I end up remaking it myself. Was in a WING mood ... yea yea I know there are the big boys in town ... right on Main Street you can hear the drum beats from their marketers but today I wanted to try something new and being "thrifty" I wanted the best price in the Village! Made the call (I like them crisp and hit!) and was given 25 for the pick up. This small village pizzeria has limited seating (Won't work for groups unless you hang out on the sidewalk.) and a clear view of the kitchen area. I could smell the wings and that brought about a Buffalo smile! The guys working behind the counter were all upbeat and having a good time! My counterman was friendly. I spotted the sign promoting the Yelp check in discount and pulled out my phone which led to some cash savings (((Always a good thing!)! Ah the wings .... Crisp as ordered and I am guessing this was their hot because there was some heat but since everyone defines hot differently I always have my own hot sauce at the ready. Two containers of good blue cheese dressing plus a bag of carrot slivers completed the order. Wings were spot on and all was good except no celery. To me WINGS ALWAYS includes blue cheese dressing AND celery with carrots being the add on. The quality of the wings has me wondering about the pizza so I will be back! read more

This place was just decent. The staff was nice. Delivery took an hour. The chicken fingers were huge and crispy with juicy meat, they better be for $20. We ordered them dipped in medium, but they weren't even mild. It was just like they were dipped in butter so that was disappointing. We ordered an extra ranch which still wasn't enough for the both of us. I'm not eating carbs, but they came with French fries. My co worker was annoyed they weren't salted and didn't come with ketchup. We went with a large pizza with cheese and pep, an order of breads sticks and honey cinnamon sugar dough bites (kinda like cinnamon sticks with honey to dip in). The pizza sauce was tasty, not over spiced and not too much sauce, just the right amount of cheese. The pepperoni we the kind I love, the ones that blacken around the edges and get crunchy! Yum! The bread sticks came with 2 sides of marinara to dunk in and it was also good. The dough bites were amazing! I love cinnamon and these were really very good. I would prefer an icing dip vs. the honey but the honey was also good, something different. Muscarella's Pizza comes through in a clutch. I have Yelp to thank for introducing me, as it was our first night in our new place and while surrounded by moving boxes, we were in no shape to consider anything but pizza for dinner. Yelp pointed me to Muscarella's as the most convenient option and it certainly worked out. The experience is more like 3.5 stars, but I'm willing to add on the extra half star because the customer service has been notable as well. Admittedly, the prices are a little on the high side, but I guess it really depends on what you're used to. That first night, we got a large pizza and breadsticks, and it totaled a little over $20. Not too bad, considering we got a ton of food, but it felt high to me. Maybe I'm just used to a lower price, I don't know. In any event, the food was good. Check around for coupons, I found one that helped out a few times. The pizza is well prepared and bubbly, and the breadsticks even survive as a leftover. We haven't had the wings yet, but I suspect we will eventually. The restaurant itself is small, and right on Main Street, by Cayuga. Park right in front of the shop, street parking seems to be plentiful. Granted, I seem to pick up my orders at times where nothing else is open, but I drive past Muscarella's all the time and I see parking spots open at all times of the day. There's not a ton of seating inside, so consider takeout orders instead and head to one of the cute parks nearby. I have always had prompt service and our orders are always ready when they say they will be ready. Customer service goes a long way! There is a fee for delivery, $3 if you live close by, and $4 if you're further into Williamsville, and there is a $10 minimum for delivery orders. Given the prices, I prefer to just place orders for pickup, especially since the staff is so good at keeping to the timeframe they give you when you order. Overall, Muscarella's is a great addition to Williamsville and has proven to be very convenient for me. If you're in the village and craving pizza to go, give them a try. You'll get decent pizza and good customer service, what's not to like? read more

Muscarella's is a hidden pizza gem in Buffalo. Although it's not one of the 'Buffalo Classics,' their pizza is delicious. We ordered a large mushroom pizza and charbroiled bbq wings. The pizza was a thinner soft crust topped with a sweet sauce. The sauce has a hint of basil to it- delicious! Lots of cheese on the pizza and the mushrooms tasted fresh. The wings were 'to die for.' The sauce was sticky and sweet. A little toasty, but not too much. The chicken was perfectly cooked. I've been searching for a charred chicken wing and I finally found some! Overall, Muscarellas is a great place to buy a pizza. You can easily order online or by phone. Food normally takes 20-25 minutes. Today at lunch was my first time to Mucasella's. Nothing fancy from the outside, I parked right in front so that was easy. My first impression when walking in was that the place was rally bright and clean. A+ I had the half hot sub with fries for $7, the sub was good, nicely toasted and I didn't even have to ask for Ketchup with the fires they were in the container. Everything I could possibly ask for in a pizza place: great food, great service, and great cheese. We ordered three of their lunch specials this Thursday afternoon and were pretty amazed with all of them. I believe someone has posted a picture regarding their specials, so go ahead and refer to that for their options. Their lunch specials (does NOT include their daily specials or any other specials they may have for a select period of time) are $5.00 + tax, with the option of +$1.00 for a drink and/or +$1.00 for an upgrade from a bag of chips to fries. Unlike many other fast food places, Muscarella's does not have a fountain drink machine. They operate via plastic bottles, as if you were purchasing from a vending machine (well, it's more like a grab and pay for it). But they do have a recycling bin, and I really appreciate that. Their seating area, as mentioned in previous reviews, is small. There are four small tables, each with about 2-3 chairs. But the facility itself is nice and well kept. With regards to their food: - 2 slices of cheese and pepperoni pizza (a.k.a. two slices in total that have both cheese and pepperoni pizza, not one of each): Loved it. The crust was perfect, cheese was thick, and the pepperonis were nice and crispy. This is definitely their most popular lunch special, and I'd recommend it. - Mini calzone with cheese and 1 topping: I didn't get to personally try this when it was piping hot, but my mother claims (and she's a total snob when it comes to anything that leaves the oven) that the dough was perfect and that there was a good ratio of filling:crust. - 5 chicken wings + bag of chips (which we upgraded to fries): Great! I did appreciate that they asked us how we wanted our wings seasoned and essentially tailored the order to our preferences instead of just giving to us any standardized order. The fries also tasted good but they weren't anything astounding. Ultimately, their food is very, very good. However, the pizza just blew me away. I had a regular cheese and pepperoni slice around lunch time, and it tasted greasy and fairly juicy and crusty and good. But at the same time, it was far from being one of the best slices I've had, and it had probably been sitting around for awhile. Also it loses a point because I asked them to heat it up, and it still somehow came out of the oven lukewarm and underwhelming. I like my slices hot, so I only had a couple of bites and then gave the rest away to my friend who likes any pizza, any time, any level of heat. I was really hungry too, so for me to only eat a couple of bites shows how lukewarm it was, although if it was an amazing tasting slice, I'd have gulped it down despite it being lukewarm, which has happened before. I know slices are cheap but some places really care about giving a good slice to the people, and some places... well. Yes. But like I said a lot of my friends love this place so you should ignore me and give it a try and see for yourself. It's a fairly typical Buffalo slice and is probably much better when fresh.
