After leaving 2 other hair salons on the same day because our 5 year old son with autism refused to get his haircut, we called Mrs. B and we were able to get in that same day. Who knew that having a boy's hair cut done would be so stressful since it grows like a weed!? I have loved Bobbi since day 1 and I'm glad she opened up her own little space since I was missing her cutting my son's hair (she was super popular at her old work place and I couldn't ever get in with her). I had my son see different stylists and I wasn't impressed by their work. By different stylists, I mean like 4 other stylists and sometimes I felt like the haircut was just ok. Bobbi does a good job even with my son's slightly crooked head and I don't even need to tell her how I want it anymore since she's cut my son's hair plenty of times. She's great with kids like I said before. I've seen her in action with some of her other clients and she's super patient or she can be super quick depending on the circumstances. My son was recently diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. There are two things he can't stand; pants (sigh) and haircuts. When the clippers get near his ears he freaks out. I was so nervous taking him somewhere to get his haircut but Mrs. B made everything so easy. Her room is colorful, big enough to fit 6 of us in there, and was filled with things kids love. She put on his favorite show and turned the volume up to max. He doesn't like wearing a cape so she put on a fireman jacket and he tolerated that much better (who would've thought?). She started the cut by letting him hold the clippers and then help her cut his hair so he knew what she was doing. Every time is got too overwhelming she would take a break and let him touch the clippers. After 15 minutes his hair was cut beautifully, he didn't cry a single time, he got a lollipop, and he gave her a high-five. She just got a client for life and we'll recommend her to everyone we know. read more
