They came back the next day to take out the rest of the tree after much anguish and discussion. The stump was ground and a new section of grass was planted. Steve's team took care of it quickly and hauled away the debris. Not going to lie - it made me cry to lose the first tree we planted when we moved into this house. Steve has worked with us for a few years, adding a dry river rock bed to take care of a neighbor's poor drainage, trimming out other overgrown trees and bed clean ups. He resodded our lawn after the freeze and fixed the leak in our irrigation system earlier this year.

That afternoon we started to plant our shrubs and noticed the grass had only been tilled and that the grass and roots were still there. In some places the compost was merely covering sod that hadn't been tilled. When I asked Steve why they didn't remove the roots, he said that he usually sprayed the grass with Roundup, but that I wanted to plant by the end of November. I told him that I wouldn't ever let him spray my property with chemicals because I'm an organic gardener. He replied that it was actually good for the soil once the grass decomposed. In fairness, he did offer to come back and pull out "some" areas of where the grass was coming up, but that if I wanted him to dig all of it out in the bed that would be another bid. He said he didn't bid digging out the grass because it would have been too expensive. He should have qualified what we meant by grass removal. The men were very nice that did the job, but they were probably going on Steve's instruction. We've had other flowerbeds made in the past. They dug the grass out. The grass resprouted and today I spent four hours digging out grass and roots. When I complained again and asked for a partial refund I was ignored. My husband then texted him and received a reply about how we should have let him spray it. He never mentioned spraying (which we wouldn't have done) until I complained.

After months of excuses, lack of communication, and being repeatedly ghosted, I had lost almost all confidence in the company and began wondering if I had been taken advantage of. However, once Tyler, the owner, caught wind of it, he was upstanding, professional, and genuinely concerned about my experience. He personally took the time to understand the issues, stayed engaged throughout the process, and made sure things were addressed. From my perspective, it became clear that the information Tyler was receiving did not fully reflect what I had been experiencing as a customer. Once he became directly involved and saw the situation for himself, things changed dramatically. It's easy for an owner to stay removed from customer problems, but Tyler did the opposite. His willingness to take accountability, cut through the noise, and work toward a resolution is the reason I'm updating this review and giving credit where it's due.

Due to the time crunch and ongoing weather I had to go elsewhere that would submit to my mortgage company the documents they are requesting same day. Mind you we have been trying to get this processing for a whole month now. I know sometimes paperwork can be tricky and processing things takes time but the way they talk to you after is unprofessional. I even messaged them on Facebook as well and relaying a message about the response but ended up getting a response saying "how can we help you if you never pick up or not respond" I cannot pick up my phone or respond during my work hours. I'm a healthcare worker and cannot answer as I am assisting patients. They were quick to try to turn it on me not addressing what I originally messaged them about. I never shifted blame on anyone but needed to do what I had to do in order to stop more potential damage to my home. I am usually not the one to post reviews but sometimes things need to get said. They have left an impression. You win some and you lose some, but does not mean you have to be bitter. Hopefully they can control their frustrations on past/potential clients in the future.
