The pralines here are top notch! It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing shop but I guarantee you'll enjoy the candy. Ms. K has plenty of different flavor options with her pralines and she sells them both individually and by the pound in small pieces. I prefer the original but I've gotten rum raisin and coconut for my friends and family and everyone praises them. The candy melts in your mouth with each bite. If you are looking for some of the best pralines in New Orleans they are not to be found in the quarter, but rather here at Ms K's. The location is unassuming and at first I wasn't even sure if it was open but we went in and were greeted by none other than Miss K herself. She clearly has a passion for what she does and she does it well. She offered my friend and I an entire praline to sample before choosing which ones we wanted to purchase. We decided to split a box of dozen. My friend stuck with the traditional ones while I decided to try all of the flavors. Since I've been home I have gone through the different flavors and not one has disappointed me. I gave a traditional one to my father-in-law who loves pralines and he said it was one of the best he's ever had. First, I want to say, I don't know why I never stopped in sooner. I've seen the place but never stopped in. The other day, while passing by my daughter said I want pralines let's go. I couldn't easily turn around so I said there is a place around the corner we can go to. Well, we were pressed for time so we went to the place around the corner and they did't have any pralines (glad they didn't). So, my daughter insisted that we go back to Ms. K's and now I think I'm hooked. I didn't get any but I did get a sample of two different kinds and they were both delicious and smooth. I think I will go today and get some for myself. My daughter said she is going to be going every day, but then she changed it to every other day so she won't gain too much weight. But yes, these pralines are sooooo good. And fresh because Ms. K was there making a batch while we were there. They have a bunch of different kinds so I'm sure every will find something they like. I have never really been a fan of Pralines, but man oh man Ms. K's Pralines are soooo good! My sister asked me to help her find a place to buy a pack of Pralines for a gift and I just searched online for the right place. Ms. K's was open and the closest with a few excellent reviews on yelp as well. When I first drove to the store it was not open, but as I was about to drive away she drove up and caught me in time. There were only a few flavors available at the time, but she told me to return in an hour and she would make a new batch. So an hour later I came back with my sister and Ms. K had the new batch ready. She gave us a sample of the regular praline without any nuts inside. It was creamy, milky, tasty, and super super sweet. I loved it! So my sister and I bought a variety of a dozen which came out to about $19. I think it is a good deal since these are homemade with love and care from Ms. K. It's not some factory or generic brand of Praline. It is a true New Orleans product and an excellent one at that! Definitely recommend coming here. If you want a particular order I recommend you call in advanced because she gets a lot of orders and it is better to have it fresh and ready for you. I would give 0 stars if I could .. My boyfriend and I were planning on going inside and buying some pralines. Literally as soon as we pulled up the owner ..I'm guessing Ms. K?.. came out and started telling us we couldn't park in "her" parking lot (it was basically empty and no one was inside her store , only her. It was also about half an hour before they closed.) She didn't even give us time to get our stuff settled ..as soon as we put the car in park she was already outside being extremely rude. We stopped in to get a few pralines for Christmas. The lady there was very nice but she was busy working alone. We didn't want to interrupt her as she was busily stirring her boiling pot. There wasn't much left in the display case except for a few of the original pralines. She gave us a quick sample of what she had and it was very tasty.
